Was Jesus Christ a wizard?
So in the world of Harry Potter, Wizards pretty much celebrate Christmas the same as the muggles, with the exception of changing a few Christmas hims like Serious black sings "God rest you merry Hippogryphs" in the order of the Phoenix. So I'm guessing some wizards believe in God and therefore believe in Jesus. Now, to muggles Jesus was performing miracles but to wizards was he just doing healing magic? Just like the healers in Saint Mungoes hospital? But wait I here you cry! Jesus didn't have a wand! And this may be true, Jesus didn't have a wand, but if you read the books it is possible to do magic with out a wand and we also see Percival Graves or what we think is Percival Graves preform magic with out raising his wand, or maybe when your in an emotional state, like when Harry made the glass disappear to the snake enclosure in the philosophers stone. But what if Jesus was infect an extremely powerful wizard and didn't need a wand. Even though wands we're definitely about then as we know from Ron when he talks about ancient pharaohs wizards in Egypt, In The Prisoner of Azkaban. So was Jesus a wizard? There are story's of Jesus preforming miracles like turning water into wine, just as Seamus Finnigan tried to turn his pumpkin juice into rum in The philosophers stone. and a story where Jesus feeds a whole beach of people with like a loaf of bread and a few fish. i know you cant just make good food appear out of fin air as Hermione Granger tells ron that its one of The Five Principal Exceptions to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration in the Deathly Hallows, but she also states that "you can increase the quantity if you’ve already got some" like Jesus did in his story. Maybe he didn't really die on the cross? And maybe he did resurrect? All magic of course. Maybe after the muggles tried to kill him he decided that he didn't want to help muggles anymore and kept him self hidden from the muggles. That could have been the start of why wizards keep there life's separate from the muggles and is now the normal thing to do. So what do you think was Jesus actually a wizard? Or am I just crazy?
Also just to add i'm talking about Jesus in the Harry Potter universe not the Jesus of our universe. even though the Jesus in the Harry Potter universe would be the Jesus of our universe but its not, because Harry potters not real so that makes the Jesus in his universe not real to. but out Jesus is real. if you believe in Jesus that is. But I'm not talking about our Jesus so Yeah... Glad we cleared that up.

Nice theory but realistically, Dracos father would be so insulted, humiliated and outraged he’d pull Draco immediately from Hogwarts and either homeschool him or sent him to the academy he originally wanted.

Draco stared out the window of the Hogwarts Express, he wished the ride would last forever. His parents had sent him a howler after hearing that he had been sorted into Gryffindor. He was siting in the compartment with Harry Potter and his friends. He felt something being pushed into his hand, he looked away from the window and at his hand, he was holding was a chocolate frog.
"You want that? I've already had 43 today."
Draco looked at the person who had talked to him. It was Ron Weasley.
"Thanks..." he mumbled.
As the train station pulled into view, Draco scanned the platform for his parents. They were near the back of the crowd, looking sour as warhead smoothies.

Once at home, Lucius grabbed Draco by the hair and shoved him into the dungeons.
"I want you to stay down there until I say you can come out!!" Lucius hissed.
Draco curled up against a pile of potato sacks, tears streaming down his face. He regretted everything, every horrible thing he'd done to Dobby.
'I guess this is what it's like to be a house elf.' he thought.

The next day, Lucius took Draco out of the basement, shoved him out of the house, and slammed the door in his face.
"LET ME IN!!!" Draco yelled, pounding on the door.
Narcissa opened for the door and Draco tried to hug her.
"Go to hell!" she snapped, pushing him away and slamming the door.
Draco started to cry as he headed away from his house.
'I guess I'll go live with Weasley...' he thought.

I think it's the way JK. Rowling portrayed his family in the movies and books. The way he acts and the way his family acts is the way a true Slytherin would act so him being in any other house sounds like a joke. Maybe it's his name, to me hearing 'Draco Malfoy is in Hufflepuff' doesn't sound right lmfao

I feel like Draco was always a Slytherin, but if he had been born into any other family he would have been Hufflepuff. He's not brave enough to be a Gryffindor, as we know he is very much a coward, running away and not standing up for himself (from his parents). If he was in another family, for example, the Weasleys, they'd teach him to be kind and gentle, and as he is not brave enough for Gryffindor, the Sorting Hat would put him into Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw is also not an option because he might be smart, but he doesn't want to progress his brains, only his happiness. All signs point to Hufflepuff, I would say.
I beg to differ. Without the pressure, I believe he would instead focus on studying as a way to find happiness, hence Ravenclaw. I think he 'doesn't want to to progress his brains' because he was taught that money brings power and fame, not intelligence. But those are both examples of social influence. He himself is really ambitious and competitive, and that is not Hufflepuff-y at all.

Draco actually had a lot of courage, it wasn't really ambition when he would go sneaking out when he was kid in the night trying to follow Harry, trying to kill a famous wizard and then finally believing it was all for a bad cause, he had the wand of power and starts deflecting from Voldemort. I think just like Draco was able to make Harry from going into Slytherin, Harry probably had the ability to make Draco a Gryffindor as well.

They BOTH have families who mostly were Slytherins
And in this version of Harry Potter,
They both defied the past and became Gryffindors.
They're also both pure bloods, very charming, and very handsome. Okay, those last two were opinions, but we can all agree, but they're very much mischievous, and anime who reads Harry Potter can agree on that. Also, if they're both pure bloods, they're either distantly or directly related to each other.

When paired with the video about why Draco tried to befriend Harry before the sorting, it seems like Draco would see being sorted into the same house as Harry to be another chance to befriend him for political and power reasons and would probably brag about it to his father in order to make up for being sorted into Gryffindor like he did it on purpose just to get close to Harry. I also think the way Hermione and Harry and Ron got closer despite their differences when they met fluffy and the rest of their first year adventure, considering dracos habit of following them to get them in trouble he would likely end up being a part of all of that with them and eventually become one of them as real friends.

I'm glad that you don't hold the opinion that Lucius would abandon him. So many people seem to believe that Lucius would disown his only son. Lucius Malfoy? Naaaaah. He's bigotted, and would be disappointed, but how could he possibly disown his precious son?
He didn't disown him when he married Astoria, who was considered a blood traitor, and when he basically became a blood traitor himself, which was considered a crime just below marrying a muggleborn or muggle. Lucius loved Draco too much. And Draco is his only heir.
Besides, Narcissa would drop kick Lucius' ass if he even suggested it. She lied to the bloody Dark Lord's face to protect Draco. Nothing can top that.
Also, when I rewatched the movies, I realised that, in the final battle scene, Harry Potter AND Narcissa Malfoy both knew the ENTIRE time that Harry was alive. Narcissa must have been so smug watching Voldemort give his fancy mocking speech when she knew Harry was completely alive. Can we give kudos to her poker face? Her asking Draco to step over to their side makes so much sense, since she was like "lmao come to momma child so we can make a run for it the second shit goes down". What was she even thinking the whole time? now, that's something I would like to know.

I’ve thought about Harry being in Slytherin, Neville in Hufflepuff, Hermione in Ravenclaw, Even Luna in Gryffindor. But NEVER, I repeat NEVER have I thought of Malfoy In Gryffindor. It feels like a sin just typing it.
Also I think Draco's father's crimes in the second year would be brought to light with Draco being made aware of it and as friends or at least roommates Harry, Ron and Hermione would realize Lucius just sent a memory of Voldemort, a literal genocidal tyrant who had no problem targeting a baby, into a school full of children and left his own son there without giving him any info of it to be on his guard, and child endangerment aside it could at the very least provoke others to ostracize his son due to his families connection to Slytherin, dark arts and Voldemort. So I imagine Harry and friends would stand up for Draco when they realized this and feared that with Dobby, Lucius' favorite abuse target, now freed his own son who had been put in the wrong house plus the resentment for the other kids in Gryffindor when they ruin his plan and free his elf, would make Draco his new target for abuse. Harry goes to Ron's house to live away from his own abusers and would probably suggest inviting Draco but ultimately they would most likely end up reporting it to snape since snape is Draco's godfather and would be able to keep Draco with him.
I'm writing a hp fanfic where Harry is sorted into Slytherin and becomes BFFs with Draco. When I'm done, I'll read it and post it on UA-cam.
Lilly and James never die, no prophecy was made, Voldemort never gathered followers and eventually gave up on power, Ron get sorted into Gryffindor and Hermione in Ravenclaw.

i've read a drarry fanfic that was a bit similar to this lmao. so basically on their third year dumbledore decided there was going to be a resorting, and everyone could either get in a different house or stay in theirs depending on what the sorting hat said. harry got into slytherin and became best friends with draco and blaise zabini, hermione went to ravenclaw and became closer to luna, and ron stayed in gryffindor with his siblings.

They went to Lockhart since (to their knowledge) he would be the only teacher remaining behind at Hogwarts to confront the Basilisk while the other teachers evacuated all of the students. Why give your information to people that are escaping to safety instead of the one person who is assigned to stop the problem?
Given that she wasn't all that helpful over the Philosopher's stone ( she just got mad that they knew about it and told them it was a matter for the teachers), I'm not sure it would have made that much difference.
Wouldn't it changed the Chamber of Secrets? I mean, like he played a BIG role in it by being in Slytherin 'cause he them a lot of info about him and the chamber, so it's possible Harry and Ron may not stop m Riddle getting into power again and maybe, just maybe: Voldemort may come earlier the Goblet of Fire.

Lucius would probably abandon Draco. Narcissa would stay tho because she actually loves her son. Lucius just think he'd be a good death eater, really so Lucius would leave and narcissa would stay.

Actually they both love Draco very much- that's why he grew up so bratty. Everything was fed to him on a silver spoon. Lucius was just sterner on Draco and I think that Draco wouldn't have been disowned, I think Narcissa would be accepting of him being a Gryffindor and Lucius, loving his wife and son, would eventually come to accept that too.
If Draco was in any other house, I think that he would be in Ravenclaw.
My thoughts exactly. And that wouldn't set him in a truly bad light with his Father either, he might be dissapionted but would see it as the second best house anyway.

But then again, to be a Ravenclaw, BEING smart just doesn't cut it. You have to VALUE intelligence, wit, and learning above all else. This is why I think Hermione wasn't in Ravenclaw. She valued friendship and bravery more than book smarts when it came down to it.

If I had to sort every Harry Potter character into a house other than the house they are in, Draco Malfoy, almost always at the (close to) top of the class, would be a Ravenclaw.

Well if Draco was a Gryffindor, I am pretty sure the great hall, and thus the world, with the sound of Lucius Malfoy's intense anger and disapointment. I don't think Lucius would forgive Draco and would no longer speak of him with any pride. Appearance after all was what Lucius valued most, and having his son break the tradition would ruin, in his mind at least, the image of his families perfection. I don't think hate would come from it, but apathy would ensure that Draco felt incredibly alone when at home.
WHAT IF: Someone in the order had bought the vanishing cabinet from Borgin and Burkes that Draco used to sneak the death eaters into Hogwarts.

I seriously doubt that Lucius would give the Gryffindor team Nimbus 2001's. More likely he'd sneer at Draco for even suggesting joining the Gryffindor team. It's possible that Draco would keep trying for the Seeker position, but as we all know, Harry's the better player in that regard, plus as Lucius didn't give him a fancy new broom Draco would lose the one advantage he had, so Draco would probably continue to lose to Harry and it would make the friction between them even worse. Draco would end up really resenting and feeling jealous of Harry, possibly even more than he did in the series, and their rivalry would escalate out of control until Draco's eventual and inevitable Heel Realization later on in their schooling.
This actually works better than in the books. It means even more tension between Harry and Draco.

In this timeline I like the idea that Draco truly finds his courage when he refuses to go to Voldemort and not to be shamed Voldemort moves to curse him and THIS is the moment Harry reveals he is still alive, deflecting the curse and saving Draco. That would be a cool redemption arc for Draco’s character flaws.

Given what we know of the LaStrange and Malfoy families there is no way they would stick with him other than his own mother. With losing his the support of his father and later his own aunt possibly trying to kill him that would leave his relatives on the Tonks side to take care of him and his mother and needing the support of his Housemates.
Draco probably wont become a Seeker as that was just something he wanted to show up Harry. He'd probably make friends with the older GryffGindor's as they seem to be more bully-like than the students in his year, or make friends with Fred and George as practical jokes are just as "fun" as bullying. This in turn would get Draco to be close to Ginny. Possibly setting up a love triangle.
This does mean that Snape will be the one Voldamort get's to try and kill Dumbledore later on in the story.
Near the end of the books, Bellatrix would go after him as she did with Nymphadora. However, Narcissa would step in and defend her son and kill her sister instead of Molly. Unless she was kept around with Lucius as part of the Death Eaters, Harry will be screwed.
