Its a game mechanic, if you keep circling the entire map while zombies are following you at some point the zombies stop respawning around you as most zombies are following you. If you stop running away you will immediately see the zombies will start coming from the direction your running away from.
i dont solo this boss but im always have 2 page of energy bars in main acc that i share to my 6 alts in DR before behemoth spawn lol i just have soldier and police alt with 44-49 level and oblivion imp and well its work
