Ok, great approach to furthering the confusion on the 32nd counting. For example I am going to play on the "Ka" of beat 2...whatever. All answer to this level of counting a flawed.
I never said this system works for everyone but it is a solid alternative that works for my students and many others. As I tell everyone, check out what’s out there and find what works for you. Not everyone in the world uses the counting system.
Hey Adam, I’m really loving this video series so far and it’s already turned on so many light bulbs in my head, lol But there’s one thing in this video I don’t understand and find a little confusing when counting in 32nd and 64th note divisions Ta is meant to be only on the beat, but when it is divided @3:30, it’s Ta-Ka-Di-Mi TA-Ka-Ju-No The TA in Ta-Ka-Ju-No is not one the beat and I kinda get lost when trying to play along. Is it counted as an extra note within the time signature? Or is it better to replace the Ta with a different syllable?
Thank you so much for your takadimi series. Great educational videos! Just one detail on the fifth line here: you sing the quarter note triplets almost like the reggaeton riddim 😉 (two dotted eighth notes followed by an eighth note).
