You are the fool. This people are removing everything even the streets sellers which u find in other African countries which are 1000 times more developed than Gambia.. you are a big fool. Go to Dakar and see if u will not find cars parking in the streets and sellers
Am not against the job they doing, because sooner or later , illegal encroachments will be removed with development coming subsequently.. However, I think they should inform vendors well ahead so that they can prepare themselves 😢
Either him or the owner built this structure on the street, and he spent 2 million there. He said he wanted a letter warning him to demolish part of the structure

How? People most do the right thing that’s how it’s done in every country in the world. People are killing them selfs business do the right thing to avoid this things happening ok.
self distruction is what`s going on now in Gambia. Most homes are been fed by women( Bread winners of the family) while the men sit drinking Ataya. But just wait, you will know if when the road are cleared, empty and free is what most Gambia homes eat... Are they going to make the roads in the next 5 years? Even residential places are been targeted, those that are beautify the roads, making nice pavement and also making the environment green. I see no sense in this. To Smile Gambia, thanks for making us see what`s going on down there.
@ATSdream killing itself by not having a clear plan, tearing down and not cleaning up after, and tearing down and not putting anything in its place. Example, you tear down turntable, you move/provide a designated space/area for the vendors. Having a plan would mean clearing by grid or zone. You tear down, you clean up then you put something in its place. Continued garbage clearing, continued improvement and continued employment,,,you kill a tree when you chop it down and up root it, you kill the environment when you do not replant
Very important what the man told the demolition team leader having a paper that you can show people's is very important for tomorrow, you never know what will happen in future
They were supposedly to bring an end to all batch cars yet they let them be and most of them a foreigners....here they are destroying Gambians small scale businesses😢
You’re right brother. Those who are doing these demolitions should have written orders indicating that they’re ordered to do the demolitions otherwise TRC would come and they’ll Shift the blame to Barrow and Barrow will be Senegal or UK on asylum

My question is after demolishing all the illegal structures they claim about, what's next? Cus I don't hear anything about constructing or expanding of roads.. Some of the places they are destroying are far from the road.
You are so right! Tourists are talking about this situation in many FaceBook pages. They are sad, they are angry. Many of them like to go local bar and restaurants. No only hotels bars. But now, who knows.
the first 2 times i stayed in a small hotel in fajara, but then i always rented a small appartment in a compound, this is the best experience i ever made. @@paivikarppi
Guys some of these structures are really deadly fire hazards much more the illegal encroachments..I honestly think it's high time for Gambia to build industries and start turning our back on tourism. The tourism industry has destroyed our youths, drugs and alcohol are everywhere..
Please inform the government to protect the Trees🌴🌴
Some people think that they can build anything on public roads just like that.Only fools invest their money building on public roads

Sad day for him not for mind home town kololi
We Gambians accept everything the government does even if it make us suffer we need to protest this thing...😢
Yes because too many hypocrites. The ones who are not affected supports it. If u go to Dakar and it's more developed than Gambia u see street vendors
@@SmillingCoast-xl3li exactly go to Paris USA you can see hot dog sellers 😡🤬
Where were you when AJJ was around? You kept quiet and sat patiently. You never protested . Why now? , maybe you were a baby and could not protest
How can you build a restaurant or bar on the middle of the road.
Either him or the owner built this structure on the street, and he spent 2 million there. He said he wanted a letter warning him to demolish part of the structure

I hope government builds some footpaths and beautiful roads sides
It will affect all tourists who will not come anymore
why should tourists come to gambia now, to make the rich more rich or just watching cars? very boring.
