I've been searching my whole life for this game, as a kid i used to play this demo and it was literally the best racing game ive ever played, but couldn't remember what the name was, until just now
Ahh, I remember back in 05 when I was just 4 years old playing that demo. Being the early gamer I was I had already started playing Burnout 2: Point of Impact so when I played that demo I immediately begged my dad for it. In simple terms he said if I could beat Burnout 2 then I could have Revenge as he thought I wasn't ready for it. Although it was very hard for my 4 year old self I beat the game in just a few months. As a present for my 5th birthday I finally got Burnout Revenge for my PS2 and it will always hold a small place in my heart and childhood. It's a shame you never got to play that game as a kid but if you still own any Xbox console or a PS2 I highly recommend you pick it up. Here recently I got the HD 360 version of the game for just $7.50.
To me, Madden seemed to get in the way of enjoying the game. Now that I think back, the game seemed sweeter because we had to keep waiting for it to back out so we could boot the demo back up.
I remember playing this demo on a OPM demo disc. I thought it looked pretty cool, so I went on ahead and bought the actual game after it came out. Oh boy, I was not disappointed.
@@eduardolobos7380 The main difference was "game feel" and customization. There was no customization in the demo, where the game was designed with leveling\improving\customizing your car(s) in mind as you progressed through the various circuits and won money. You'd go to the garage and tinker and change handling, speed, etc. You could also customize various elements of your car's death-bomb mechanic, like how long it would last, the blast radius, and so on. I think this ultimately lead to a lot of the game feeling really weak and pitiful compared to the intensity of the demo. They wanted you to start with a weak meh car and build your way up to something like what was experienced in the demo. Only problem is that even when you maxed everything out in the final version of the game the explosions never felt as good, the cars never felt as fast, the levels never felt as chaotic while simultaneously feeling carefully designed. I beat the finished game, and never touched it again, I just replayed the demo with my siblings for hours at a time on the weekends until we lost track of the Madden06 disc during a move. I plan on buying an OG XBOX and a copy of Madden06 again just to get access to this demo. This demo is my favorite racing game experience of all time, nothing else has come close for me.
@@freefaregaming6174 I think they replace the upgrade system with stats, the better the car you unlock the better crashbreaker have, from crashbreaker 1, 2 and so on, also every car have specific weight, super light cars were faster but weaker, light cars were heavier but had slower acceleration they were better choices for road rage events, also the crashbreaker intensity depends on how many boost you have at the moment, that burnout bar thing.
Just like literally everyone else, this is what I played. Not even Madden or the full Burnout. I went to an afterschool program that had a bunch of random stuff donated to it- in retrospect I can't believe how amazing that experience actually was, we had our own game room and we all got 1-2 hours of time after school to play them together with all the kids. Multiple machines. We had an Xbox though and Madden 06 was on there, because it had just come out at the time (which, again, in retrospect, is insane!) and I actually was the one who showed the other kids that the game had this, because I was bored and found it by accident. So strange to think 15 years have gone by since Burnout Paradise was released...
Man i freaking loved this game when i was a kid! I played only the demo every day after school but i forgot how the game i played every day was called.. Now after over 12 years its giving me massive flashbacks and reminds me how fast the time passes. Shoutouts to yall guys, i hope ur life is going well :)
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who remembers this. I loved Madden 06 and I would occasionally play this demo. It was a special time and I miss this era. It’s cool to see all the comments from everyone.
When you get a takedown here the camera actually moves and go back into the racing camera while in the final release it’s just a cut not a continuation follow neat I like it. Plus the extra +points when you grind, rub or slam vehicles it’s gone from the final. Lots of cool changes
Is it me, or are the battle SFX more audible in this demo? More audible than in the actual game. Even the boost SFX sounds better in this demo; like a hellish roar blasting you forward.
You get madden van in burnout revenge ps2 version if you had madden 06 save file on your memory card, you get the van in the 350 version if you watch the trailer that came into the disc.
Man I couldn't get enough of this demo as a kid. I never even owned the game burnout I just kept replaying the demo version.
The Burnout Revenge demo was the ONLY reason why I played Madden 06 as a kid. lol
Agree
Broooo, same!
Literally same here

This demo was SO MUCH BETTER than the full game
Why, was the main different between this and the final game.

@@freefaregaming6174Another thing is the demo reuses Burnout 3's point system. The final game uses the garbage rating system AND IT SUCK
It’s so cursed that the R160 is going 185 and sounds completely different

3:35 way better boost sound than the retail!!

I thought I was crazy trying to look up a racing game in a football game I didn't know it was burnout this whole time

the crash sfx in the final was too quiet
Sounds like they used the BMW M3 engine from Most Wanted when you boost lol
There was a version of burnout with a madden street demo, didn’t know that this version exist, crazy
1:57 So thats how the burnout-inspired golf game was born? :D
Now it makes sense
When I turn on my original Xbox I have to enter madden 06 to play this game , oh how times flies 😢😢😢😢😢😢
QUE NOSTALGIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I remember playing the demo of burnout 3 on the nfs underground 2 disc
I remember buying madden 06 to get the madden van dlc car to unlock for burnout revenge xbox and burnout 3 to get the assassin
Me and my brother we never played the fullgame but always playing this demo to know wo was the best . (and Killzone also)
Fucking Bat Country in the beginning, LOL.
OMG i remember played the demo in target back in 2005 on black friday
6:48
The impact time camera at the final product sucks
I prefer this demo ver.
Oh so you prefer 3's which didn't help at all at tracking your rivals for an aftertouch takedown.
Well
Yes
bruh
@@aioi4101 SO YOU HAVE CHOSEN DEATH
Memories!!
I was a kid to play this game
The demo
I prefer the points system than the rank in the final game
Man what Song is that For the Burnout Revenge Demo? I’ve been trying to figure it out for 10 years
Did you need to unlock something to play the demo or you can play it by 0% game ? I have the iso on the ps2 emulator and the beta isnt there D:
You need use the real ps2
No soy tan buena pero me encanta es cool!😆
It's me or Turbo noise have different sound?
Yes it does, sound here in the demo is way better than the final version with that electric metallic whine giving me chills.
@@tropixx_xlr1549 me too
I never even bought the real game. I just kept the demo
Yo solo jugaba ese demo, porque no entendía ni pija al juego de Madden NFL
Yo nunca juge la demo
Why this demo get placed in Madden NFL 06 ? burnout revenge and Madden NFL 06 is the different genre lmao
You get madden van in burnout revenge ps2 version if you had madden 06 save file on your memory card, you get the van in the 350 version if you watch the trailer that came into the disc.
