Ballers, you're legends. But no draft board, no timestamps and lack of knowledge about QBs in SF dynasty is pretty lackluster. I know its march and its never that serious, but some easy fixes could make this show MUCH better
Love that you guys are doing video now, super dope! It would be great if you guys made a graphic that showed the draft and the picks in order instead of having to listen back to remember who went in what order. Great content as always!
So cool to see your faces on UA-cam for this pod!! Loving every min of it. Ya’ll decided to do this podcast the same time I decided to join dyntasy and 6 leagues later I am obsessed
Great video guys! I can't believe so many people have flopped and are now sleeping on Keon Coleman. Yes, Keon did not run the fastest 40, but had one of the fastest Guantlet times in the last couple of years. He not only had the highest MPH in the Guantlet, but also has one of the highest MPH ran in all of college football last season. He obviously has high game speed, and you could see the confidence he had catching the football with his hands at the Combine. Coleman is elite at all of the contested catches measurables, and is a true ball-hawk, being one of the best at coming down with the ball in the air. Pre-Combine, the only knack on KC was his route running, which he is above average at this point in his career. This can be inproved and can be coached up on this, but the other things he does excellent really can't be taught. Coleman also has one of the YAC at the position. And lastly, Coleman is still only 20 years old, being one of the youngest prospects in the entire draft class. There is so much to love about the kid, and I am betting on the kid. P.S. Never put too much stock into a player's 40 time!
Great video, I really think fantasy footballers has too much group think though.. for example the qb talk. Same thing with swift last year, lost faith after that
24:25 Why hate players landing in Tennessee they have a new GM, and coach who are planning to have a Bengals wide spread offense this year?? Just cause you remember Vrabels run first mindset that’s not who they are anymore.
You guys definitely have the most farfetched rankings from most superflex mocks I’ve seen but definitely made great points that make me reconsider things
What you're failing to realize is positional scarcity with QBs in Superflex. Ideally, 24 QBs start every week in a 12 team league. At least 4 teams will not have a third option on their roster. Yes. You can win sometimes with a second QB off waivers (Flacco) or superflexing an extra RB, but it is not the design for long-term success in these leagues. So, you must pay up for them. You either take them early in rookie drafts or pay through the nose for them in a trade.
100% on the nose. The last two years have been weird in terms of QBs and the value of the top end ones not being there but I would assume it returns to the norm of what is was the 15 years prior.
You could make the same argument against Malik Nabers or wrs in general that Mike made about QBs. How many misses do we see each and every year there? If they both hit a QB > WR will always be the case in dynasty. Have to go for the highest possible value IMO
Love that you added Video. Just some friendly feedback, love that you guys talk the least about superflex aka QB bukkake(kidding superflex people, put down the pitchforks). Keep up the quality 1Qb content. Just my two cents and doubt anyone would pay that much.
Feel like Mike is being disingenuous a bit looking back at previous QB results as "mostly busts" and trying to apply it to a general approach. It's extremely specific to the WR/RBs/QBs in each class. Like him saying oh well maybe even Stroud had a better option - no, Stroud was on average going behind Bijan and Gibbs. Nobody gonna tell me they'd rather have QJ, JSN, or Flowers over him, even probably Addison too. Pickett was going behind Breece, London, Wilson, Walker, Olave not to mention Burks and sometimes Skyy/Jameson who are probably worse to have right now. 2021 is probably the best argument besides 2018- Najee/Chase/Pitts often went before QBs (although Najee vs TLaw hmmm), but Lance and Fields were taken over Etienne, Javonte, Waddle, and Smith. Obviously feels bad, and honestly taking anyone over Waddle besides Chase looking back not great. But people were absolutely taking almost all WRs/RBs over Mac anyways. And even then, you have the sleepers from the class that makes everyone's normal process and most of the 1st round skill positions look silly like ARSB, Nico, and Rhamondre in the 2/3. Can't just name QB busts and act like each class didn't have skill position busts too or like people all just blindly took QB over solid prospects willy nilly, really low effort take. For this class, Nabers absolutely should go before Qb2/QB3, over Caleb not sure. I can see him Waddle/Olave tier but not JJeff/Chase tier, and right now most calcs favor Tlaw over the tier 2 in SF, so seems like even meh Caleb will still carry enough value compared to a very good Nabers you can pivot if needed, or you get the next Herby/Burrow tier QB and are happy. Obviously if you put Nabers into the tier 1 of WRs then take him over Caleb.
And, not playing in these leagues, it's not surprising to hear their misguided views on the importance of QBs. I don't care what metric Kyle thinks proves otherwise. If you play in them, you've felt the pinch. It's very much like the NFL in that you either have the guys or you don't. And if you don't, you don't win.
Idk how u could even consider taking nabers at 1.02. Its more likely that the qbs will gain more value in a superflex the following year, especially if they are top 10 nfl picks
@@mattwilson6626 They either can't think outside the 1QB format or they're simply clueless about the kind of floor/ceiling you get with a QB that hits. Even your average, non-mobile pocket-passer gives you more points than most WRs.
And without exploring the alternative. By their logic, N'Keal Harry over Kyler Murray in superflex. How about Jerry Jeudy over Joe Burrow? Think people would feel good about JSN over Stroud or Richardson about now?
Still think QBs are king in superflex even if you are stacked at the position. Reason being is the value you can get back in trades. Look at most dynasty start ups, around 7 QBs go before Justin Jefferson (WR1). And then you have like 10ish more go before the WR4. Look at CJ Stroud last year, because he hit, his value is through the roof and is going before any other non QB. For a guy like Marvin Harrison to be more valuable than Caleb, he would have to be a top 3 receiver AND Caleb would have to be around QB9 or QB10, possible yes but still think QBs are king
I'm going to say a rookie hosting mistake, never did a recap the whole episode. About halfway through I lost track and just said eff it. Maybe at the end of the first round and again at the end of the second round
How do yall feel about bowers at the 1.03 in a 1 qb no premium league now post combine? Is that to early? I have solid wr depth so I dont know if Rome would ever start for me this next year but I easily could see bowers starting multiple weeks. Thoughts?
Mmm I would still go Nabers or Odunze, whoever is there. Without a TE premium, you have to be Kelce levels to be an absolute difference maker compared to the top 15 receivers. Even LaPorta last year as TE one, it was a lower TE1 season than what we have seen from Kelce the last couple of years. His value was probably equivalent to the WR12ish
@@victoryformation8924 I’m going nabers at 1.02 already most likely unless Harrison happens to fall to me. Does that make a difference? At wr I have Puka Pittman tee jsn deebo Metcalf and rice. Add nabers and that’s 8 very good WRs already. At TE I have Ferguson kmet and Mayer so I could use a little bit more top end talent. But also I do really like Rome….. I’m torn right now
@@justintheking1 Yea it does make a bit of a difference, Especially considering your WR room. I guess there is two ways to look at it. If you take Nabers and Odunze you are basically guaranteed a top 15-20 WR at worst because the odds of both of them busting as top 10 NFL draft picks is low. I understand going for Bowers to bolster the TE room so I don't hate it. But again, even the TE1 last year was equivalent to like WR12.
@@justintheking1 But overall I don't hate the move because you have great receivers and are getting Nabers. Any chance you can move back to the 1.04, pick up an extra piece and still get Bowers?
