  • Walking the Seawall (Stanley Park) in Vancouver, British Columbia. I hope this video can bring joy. The Vancouver Seawall is a stone seawall constructed around the perimeter of Stanley Park. The east side is a great place to photograph the skyline of Vancouver.

    🍎 Beautiful to be walking along the water as the sunsets like that. The sky is so beautiful as are the city lights reflected on the water. Many thanks. - Henry

    My eyeballs feasted upon this work of success from you, VeeTravels, and instantly I noticed the subscribe button had not yet been clicked. My hand bones moved swiftly with haste in order to rectify this massive error and oversight, and the result is I am now subscribed to you permanently and for all time to come into the distant future. Thanks so much my friend!

    Dude, you're in beast mode. The full frame sensor is sucking in light like a super-massive black hole and your endurance carrying that ten pound rig deserves respect. Another fantastic video.

      Thanks for the kind words, Relaxing Walks. I am glad you enjoyed. Yeah the A7iii is a beast, though I was a little disappointed at the low light performance near the end of the video. I can't wait for the A7siii to come out which will hopefully be a huge improvement.

      VeeTravels I have the A6600 which is a beast for tracking, does decent in low light, but it doesn’t do 60 fps. Sony is a disappointment and great all at the same time.

      Relaxing Walks I agree 100%. I am not sure if Sony does it intentionally or not lol

    Beautiful city, I loved it.
    But I just thought shadow range of some footages like 46:42 needs to be brought up for details. I think it'll be better. Hope it helps!!

    • @VeeTravels

      Sorry I am not entirely sure what you mean about shadow range. How would I bring up the shadow range if the aperture and iso is already being pushed to the limits?

      @@VeeTravels nice video, the darkness seems a little darker than it has to be, I wonder if your camera still has the default min/max iso levels, the default factory setting in sony a7iii for example is min 100 iso and max 12800, if it is you should test changing the max to 25600 iso or even more 🙂

    Fun fact, I've considered moving to Vancouver for 2021. Of course, this is all pending what happens with air travel and work availability. But let's see how this all evolves.

    Do you manually set all your video settings used in this video?

    • @VeeTravels

      Streets of Vancouver just shutter speed was manually set. Everything else is auto. Do you think that’s okay?

      @@VeeTravels Video quality is fab! That Sony 20mm f1.8 has superb sharpness and it's a great focal length

    • @VeeTravels
      @VeeTravels  4 роки тому +1

      Streets of Vancouver hey thanks. I actually think 24mm is the sweet spot. The reason I used 20mm is because it actually technically turns into 24mm after the 4K crop.

    • @mirrorlessny
      @mirrorlessny 4 роки тому

      @@VeeTravels you shoot 30fps 4k? true it has a crop while 24fps 4k doesn't. I also set shutter speed to manual/double fps as well as selecting a specific focusing mode like center or wide

    • @VeeTravels
      @VeeTravels  4 роки тому +5

      Yes I shoot at 30fps 4K. I find 24fps 4K to be too blurry/choppy while doing pans or capturing moving objects. 30fps is also good buffer room if I need to apply additional stabilization with software. I am okay sacrificing the crop factor to achieve this.
      I usually have the shutter speed at 1/100 for it to be extra smooth. However, once it becomes dark, I will gradually lower the shutter speed to capture as much light as possible. For example, the end of this video is at 1/30 shutter speed.
      I always keep the focusing mode set to wide.
