I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to live in a time where channel like this exists. People don’t understand the scarcity of this shit even 20 years ago. You might see a 20 second interview with a creater on tv once in a blue moon, or happen upon a new piece of work by an artist by sheer chance. Now we get this kind of in depth insight into a piece of work, or hour long interviews with genius creators like Darrow. Love what you guys do
Love to hear some Stokoe praise!! He’s such an inspiration. I also see some Darrow in Daniel Warren Johnson’s two page spreads. He goes bananas with detail
Truly in a league of his own. We should all aim for such a high mark. We probably won't hit it but we will at least have improved ourselves in some way just by making the attempt.
21:12 - That's a cover for the promotional Fallout New Vegas comic. Funny how hey hired him for that, since one of the most iconic guns from this game series was based on the cover of Hard Boiled #1
Listening to interviews of Kim Jung Gi, it seems like had a lot of the same traits and drawing theory as Geof Darrow. Although stylistically their art is different, similar results are achieved-detailed murals vs hyper detailed comic pages, very imaginative art, drawings of anything at any POV, tons of people in an art piece, clean lines, etc.
Inspiration n perspiration looking at his amazing pencils! You guys should be proud to have Geoff do art for you! I’ve been blown away by his stuff since HardBoiled! At point you gotta do another interview with Mr. Darrow aka Uncle Jeff! Thanks again, guys! Definitely make more comix!
That "chicken fat" spread does ring some Goodman Beaver bells; I'm thinking of the big city scene in the Superman parody. Some unique pleasure response seems to happen in our brains when we're forced to slow down and linger over an intricate piece by guys like Darrow, Elder, Wood or Adams. It's almost like hypnosis.
Thought I recognized one of those pieces and sure enough I did. It’s the cover to a tabletop role playing game called Underground. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underground_(role-playing_game) “It’s 2021 and the dream is dead” indeed!

His art is mind boggling. The interview you guys did with him was incredible. In fact all the interviews you guys get are fantastic. Thanks guys!
Geof Darrow is ridiculous. The type of artist that makes you want to give up making art altogether and take up a new profession 🤯
When I look at most artists' work I get a feeling like "yeah... with enough work I think I can achieve that". Not when I see Geof Darrow's work.
Can't believe I spent only $180 on a big original Ultraman drawing from him at a con. He's so humble and generous.
My eyes just came.
14:20 was done as a cover for a mid 90s RPG...Ray Winninger's Underground. The tagline on the cover says "Its 2021 and the dream is dead" lol
Breathtaking. Yeah, super curious about his gridding work on a lot of those. Saw some interesting lines. Some sort of wizardry likely. So inspired.

10:23 this is the Cover of the new release of "The Big Gundown" soundtrack on vinyl. Its a classic spaghetti western with music by Ennio Morricone.

At SDCC, Geof sold this book which came with a print and an original 7 x 11" illustration (of your choosing!) at a generous price!

"I wonder what all this stuff is for", 2 pages after Avatar concept art
Awesome book🤟 itd take me like, 10 years to finish looking at that, lol. I get pretty lost in pretty much every panel of any Geof Darrow book.⚡⚡⚡
Great book. Thank God I already have it- no need to panicshop for it online.😉
Drawings around 11:00 look like Lee Van Cleef's 1967 Death Rides A Horse
Love it

Should point out it’s the piece at 14:09, left hand side.
Did you guys notice the "Ivanka" tattoo on the corpse on the Red Room cover? It's Donny on the table!
Oh my god you just blew my mind!!!
The spread featured at 21:10 is artwork Darrow did for the FALLOUT: New Vegas (2010) video game.. I think it was released as a limited-edition print?
I'd love to see a Fallout series done by Darrow, paired with a proper writer.
edit: or Cadillacs and Dinosaurs
Amazing video. Darrow's art is incredible. Thanks to your shoot interview, I picked up a couple of Shaolin Cowboy books and can't wait to get them.
