I deeply appreciate all of you that watch my videos. Thank you! And y'all that engage with comments and thoughts are what make our motorcycle community so awesome. My next video will be out this Tuesday (3/30) at 8am pdt. Now get out and ride, have fun, be safe, and I will catch you on the next video!
Hi Robin! Thank you SO much for this video. Just bought these lights for my new baby and I’m a visual learner. I know there are some very nice and respectful moto men who have instructions, but I just can’t help feeling more comfortable learning from you. Thanks for being my guide. Ps I hope you are having all the fun in Australia.
Great job! A helpful tip.. anytime you're wrenching on your bike close to painted surfaces, get some wide masking tape and tape the daylights out of everything. It only takes one slip of a wrench to wreck your paint. Learned many years ago the hard way.
Very nice. I did not realize it was the whole turn signal assembly, the housing and light, most I seen are just the LED lights replace the existing bulb. Remind me of days when I used to tear out car stereo and put in new one with all the connectors and wires. Have fun and be safe.
Thank you! Some are a bulb replacement, but with the turn signals, had to change the whole thing. The front ones I could have gone with a led disk insert, but I decided to match the signals with the rear ones... so another wiring job! 😜
Your charisma is so awesome. You are very detailed oriented. That is a well engineered kit from Harley. Thank you for sharing. I will definitely ride this weekend and hope for a 500 mile weekend. Ride safe!!!!
Another great install Robin. As you know I like your how to's. I may have to pay your fair to come take care of mine. Just kidding, all mine are done. Be safe out there lady!
@@MotoByChance Tail of the Dragon and Smokey mountains. Still only a skip away from there. But for sure if you ever get to the East Coast would love to ride with ya. Be safe
@@tennwingman3350 I’ve been in the Shenandoah Mountains, but not the Smokies. Yet! And want to ride both the tail and the back of the Dragon. Sigh... And the same if you are ever on the west coast!
Hopefully the weather will clear for you soon. 🤞🏻 Thank you for the compliment. Yes, it was more involved than the others, but with patience, was surprisingly doable.
Do it! Takes a little time, but is definitely working most skill sets. One more word of advice. Double check that the wires are firmly back in the clams under the back fender. One of mine slipped out and almost caused a short.
Good Video. I did this with a 1995 Softail Custom my latest project. And it was a B!!!H!! I had to get a load equalizer for the LED's to work. But with some custom changes they look sweet.
Glad you were able to figure it out! I think the newer models have been designed to be a bit easier to customize, but there is a look about the older models that cannot be replicated. 👍🏻😎🏍️
Not to bad you can wire to a juncture underneath the front of the gas tank if it’s the same as a heritage Softail . But you do have to take out the headlight to run the wires .
@@MotoByChance After riding through the winter here in NC, I will either add heated grips next fall, or buy another bike! My heated gloves work great, they kinda "plush". My goto *Moto1* gloves from Sean at Bikes and Beards are the best.
You made that look to easy. Very good instructions. You did a awesome job taking your time to explain everything. However I just got one question, can I bring my bike to you to do, or fly you to south GA and let you do it here. Is that smoke suppose to be coming from the rear light.... LOL Now you loose a little bit of our confidence when you start getting overly excited that it actually worked. You should of said on camera of course it works I did it LOL Great video.
So the original module you installed before under the seat had to be taken out and connected back the way it was in order for the LED tail light and LED turn signals to work properly
Yes. The module is for stock lights only. LEDs run on different wiring. Now there are aftermarket modules that will do a light sequencing for LEDs. Would recommend starting with Custom Dynamics when researching those.
@@Thesqueezebox1 no, not yet. And glad I did not because we are needing to do some mods to be legal now that we are in Perth and making sure the parts are the correct ones for here.
Thank you so much! 😎🏍🖤 Guess I need to do a video on that story. The short version... when I saw her the first time she made me thing of Scarlett O’Hara’s green dress in Gone With The Wind. The name stuck.

Wow Robin! I am so impressed with your install! You explained every move in great detail. That job was definitely involved. Great job!
I was surprised how doable it was once I tackled it. But have to admit, cutting the wires made me want to vomit. 🤣
@@MotoByChance Oh me as well! When you cut the wires I cringed! :)

Another awesome install video! You make it look SOOOOO easy!!! Great work!!
Thank you! 😎🏍🖤 Check back tomorrow when I am posting a short of when I was trying to get the turn signals off. My country came out. 🤣
The new Led taillight and turn signals look great 👍
Thank you! I am happy with how they turned out and proud of myself for doing it. 😁
Hi Robin, sadly grey, wet and overcast here. Great job, the wiring was a lot more complicated than I expected, but the result looks great.

@@lucianosma thank you for your message! This made my day.
WTG & great job Robin! On my flhcs the tail light was the bugger, but the turn signals were plug and play.
Crazy how different they are. Did something similar on my Fat Boy and it was like this. Seems one is easy and the other... not so much. 😜😎🏍🖤
Great video!

I did the front and the rear install on my 2015 heritage Softail I love the way the LEDs work a lot better than standard lights. Take care.😎👍

Good luck. Although instructions cover a lot of it .
*You have alot of guts!* I'll let the Harley service dept handle this job;)

Thank you. 💗😎🏍🖤 I seriously wanted to throw up! But I did it and I am pleased. 😁
I just need the module for condesent bulb to make running, brake, turn signal conversion
For those models that are set up for that or with newer parts, that is a much easier option.
Get you a set of ratchet wrenches there great
I am planning to do just that. 👍🏻 I would have made this job a bit easier.
