    I watched this video like 10 times and at 38 years old I finally landed my first air raley last night. Love the videos, please keep em coming. Do you ever announce where you are going to shoot next? My home base is the new Shark Wake Park down in West Palm Beach FL and it would be awesome to see you do what you do in person.

      In your other video's there are a bit more close up shots of every phase of the trick. In this video you mention the scoop but i have seen better close up examples of it on YT. Since that is the start of airtime I think it could deserve some extra attention.

    • @petrasgreitis625
      @petrasgreitis625 5 років тому

      @@lucasbergman5150 main point is movement of front feet back before your back feet(+ elbows closer to your body), not about how it looks, because when you try to do it you should concentrate on more important moves and you will not see your scoop or if you will see it then the edge will be pretty hard and you will not remember last 3 seconds. Believe me, If you will try to replicate scoop than this trick might take much more time to learn and hard hits of course. Peace!

    • @lucasbergman5150
      @lucasbergman5150 5 років тому +1

      A lost art, most of the time its easier and less scary to ride obstacles. When our cable startet there was only a small kicker, so the next step for everyone was an air trick. Nowadays almost nobody gets over the fear and limited dedication.

    • @jboneill
      @jboneill  5 років тому +7

      I dont think thats the reason why. snowboarding and skateboarding do not have airtricks, and wakeboarders strive to one day be more like skateboarding or snowboarding. Kiteboarding has airtricks and most wakeboarders make fun of kiteboarding because they just dangle all the time and the airtricks they do just are not that cool.

    the scoop, would you describe it as changing the direction of your edge, just before 'lift off' ?
    example goofy stance .. start and hold edge direction towards 2 o'clock.

    I love how my boy's first tip is always to grow a set of balls or don't be a pussy. Gets me laughing every time.

    I would say don't throw your shoulders forward which I see a lot, you will lose all tension and height. and don't scoop to hard cuz that is when you catch water over your board. when you get them down, straighten your knees and back when cutting to send it. Let's see a Double S to blind tutorial?

      I don’t think many people would want a double s to blind tutorial lol

    Try it with a wakeskate first. Then it won't hurt so much.

      Hahaha sorry to hear that. Happens sometimes, maybe try off a wakeskate so you don’t slam super hard, then strap up

      I found these surprisingly easy. once you understand how hs raleys works, apply the same concept. practice your ts cut and feel the tension, then just send it. They are way more forgiving than a hs raley aswell.
