The Art of the Burns Supper

This event marked the end of a two year project, researching the history of Burns Suppers and mapping these events in the 21st Century. It also included the unveiling of a specially commissioned piece of artwork by David Mach, which so many of our alumni community helped to create by submitting images of their own Burns events in 2021.
The artwork was unveiled as the centrepiece of a Virtual Reality exhibition, created as part of the `Burns Beyond Reality` collaboration between the Centre for Robert Burns Studies and immersive learning platform Edify. Attendees experienced the story and legacy of the Burns Supper as never seen before, including a trip to Alloway Kirk as Rabbie imagined it in `Tam o' Shanter`.
