You forgot to mention that if the Stingray is equipped with the Z51 option you have the same launch control option’s as the Grand Sport and ZO6. Good video.
For all those 'manual' questions, here is a copy and paste from the manual. Launch Control (Track Mode Only) A Launch Control feature is available within Competitive Driving Mode on all vehicles to allow the driver to achieve high levels of vehicle acceleration in a straight line. Launch Control is a form of traction control that manages tire spin while launching the vehicle. This feature is intended for use during closed course race events where consistent zero to 60 and quarter mile times are desirable. Launch Control is only available when the following criteria are met: Competitive Driving Mode is selected, or any of the Performance Traction Management modes are selected. The TCS light comes on the instrument cluster and the appropriate DIC message displays. The vehicle is not moving. The steering wheel is pointing straight. Manual Transmissions The clutch is pressed and the vehicle is in 1 (First) gear. The accelerator pedal is rapidly applied to wide open throttle. The Launch Control feature will initially limit engine speed as the driver rapidly applies the accelerator pedal to wide open throttle. Allow the engine rpm to stabilize. A smooth, quick release of the clutch, while maintaining the fully pressed accelerator pedal, will manage wheel slip. Complete shifts as described in Manual Transmission 0192. Automatic Transmissions The brake pedal must be firmly pressed to the floor, equivalent to a panic brake event. The accelerator pedal is rapidly applied to wide open throttle. (If the vehicle rolls due to wide open throttle, release the throttle, press the brake pedal more firmly, and re-apply the accelerator to wide open throttle.) The Launch Control feature will initially limit engine speed as the driver rapidly applies the accelerator pedal to wide open throttle. Allow the engine rpm to stabilize. You have the PTM mode if you have magnetic ride suspension... I have a manual trans Z-51 without PTM mode..(no magnetic ride) If I put it in launch control , It revs to about 4300rpms..and if you let go of the clutch it just sits and spins the tires and goes for the rev limiter..Kinda useless without better traction.. But I like the , no lift shift...
i got a 2015 stingrary z51 several months ago. my 4th vette. it has several options once you go to track mode and double tap the conttol button. i know my car has been retuned but to what extent im not sure. the eco mode has been disabled and afm never closes. when i try and launch it in launch mode it spins and i have terrible 0 to 60mph times. around 5.6. i can do 4.2 to 4.7 by just leaving traction control on and pressing the gas pedal slowly, i usually dont get to half way till it shifts the only 3/4 to the floor by the time i pass 60mph and get low 4's but i just can't get launch control to not spin
@@neckisstiff also if you don’t know what is corvette and drag racing, I can give you a good advice about corvettes, hellcats etc. Soft mode of suspension will give better result than track mode.

I actually didn’t know that. Thanks!!
My 2018 z51 is the same as the stingray no extra options.
@@ss-zt7en I should have mentioned that the Z51 must be equipped with the Magnetic Ride adjustable shocks to have the PTM option.
@@C7corvettestingray yep, no mag ride in mine.
And it’s automatic hahah
It is! I live right down the road, thank you for the info! I just picked up a procharged and cammed 17 grandsport, super excited to dive into it.
Check this video out I just uploaded.

The same but it starting from 4k rpm

Can you do a video on the standard trans?
I would love to. I will see what I can do.

My stingray has the exact same options 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
i thought base stingray doesn't have PTM ?
Do manual transmission have launch control?
Hey @waldensaudio yes, the manual transmission C7 also has launch control. Functions just a little different with the clutch.
Hello everyone ! Has every c7 launch control ? (Im from germany and dont unverstanden everything in this great video) thank you !
Standard Stingrey without z51 option hasn’t got launch control
@@Goczku thank you bro !!!!
Is this in Tyler past Walmart?
No. Frisco past Victoria's Secret and Twin Peaks.
I tried this with 2016 C7 LT3 and I can't get this message uo.
Not true depending on trim. My z51 3lt has every option as well.
When I tried it, the rpm was around 1500. Is there a way to adjust it?
Just buy two step launch control module
💯💯💯💯
what the hell is..ptm..ive had a c7 since..2019///amazzing!!!!LOL
What year is the GS? That is not the front of a GS. No front brake air ducts.
2019 with 3,500 miles.
The z51 option gives you everything
exactly the same as the Grand Sport
Exactly why I bought one, just the body kit is different
I saw the car in park and was like wait you can activate launch control in park??? 😭
Your better off not using launch control and traction control off
Agreed. I’ve played around with and without the use of launch control and the truth is you can launch the control better without using the system.
C7 launch control is an absolute shit , I ran 12.3 sec on a bone stock GS without it and 12.9 with it several times
Wow you can read the manual.😂
