  • The Pangeos is an itinerant floating city, comprising various hotels, shopping centers, parks, ship and aircraft ports, and all other facilities needed to house up to 60,000 guests.
    The terayacht takes its name from Pangea, the supercontinent that existed millions of years ago during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras.
    Pangeos extends its length for 550 meters (1,800 ft) and measures 610 meters (2,000 ft) at its widest point - the wings.

    There is no question that this thing would not be seaworthy. A storm with waves of more than 10 metres and cross seas would be the end. The construction would tear apart and the remains would be in maritime distress, if not sink immediately. How the heck could 60,000 people be saved? Investors will stay away.

    First thing is, why would wealthy people want to live in tiny-homes, stuck on a ship amongst tens-of-thousands of others. Doable concept and not necessarily much forward facing resistance if the whole light-materials' structure is made to float on multihulls parallel to each other and cutting through the navigation direction. A kind of a bunch of catamarans all binded together.

      Very much NOT a doable concept. Even if you could hypothetically make it, this ship would never survive the ocean. Any ocean or marine engineer worth their salt could tell you that.

    why is there a bunch of jets on the yacht (visible in the first few seconds of the video)? Makes no logical sense as there's no runway.

    • @geekflyer77
      @geekflyer77 Рік тому +1

      @SleepyFilipy the jets in the video are definitely not VTOLs tho. This just some illogical detail that makes me question the whole feasibility of the rest of the concept. If they're putting physically impossible to land jets on the yacht in the concept who knows what other things in this concept are physically impossible...

    Ninguém está falando dos problemas ambientais que uma mega estrutura dessa causaria em alto mar. Quantos corais poderiam ser destruídos, animais poderiam simplesmente ser "atropleados" e perder-se de seus bandos, quantas espécies poderiam simplesmente desaparecer quando dezenas de coisas dessas estivessem circulando mar afora. Pequenas embarcações, inclusive de pescadores, poderiam ser prejudicadas e até destruídas pela corrente que isso geraria. Isso só para alimentar o ego de alguns bilionários.

    • @viniciusnascimento971

      Isso provavelmente nunca sairia so papel, é algo extremamente nada hidrodinâmico, causaria um arrasto desgraçado na água para mover um troço desses alem do peso
      A estrutura tem que ser extremamente forte e ainda seriam com motores elétricos quais não tem uma autonomia muito boa (hj em dia) alem das baterias teriam que ser enormes iria acrescentar mais peso a embarcação sem contar o fato que aquela desgraça iria ter muita loja, piscina e tudo mais
      É um projeto que não é impossível mas é mais doq provável que NUNCA saira de um grande e idiota modelo 3D
