Planar (Ribbon) Magnetic Speaker. Detail of DIY construction of a large planar (ribbon) speaker.

I provide some detail of a planar magnetic speaker that I have built. Started building my own planar speakers in the early 90's. Ended up with a design that worked fairly well and ended up making several variants and actually sold a few.
The planar driver is not too difficult to manufacture and can be a good project for the audio DIY enthusiast.
My first concepts were published in Speaker Builder magazine in 1995. Sadly the magazine is no longer published and not sure if back issues are available. This speaker was on the cover :) and I have a photo of the cover at the end of the video.
