Fan theories suggest that the reason Saitama failed the written portion of the Heroes' Association test was because all the questions involved dealing with villain and monster problems from C class all the way up to S+ class, and he answered all of the questions with "I punch it." For him, even taking down planet-destroying apocalyptic abominations is easy, and the answer really _is_ "I punch it." But none of the testers believed him, so he got most of those questions wrong, even though they were the _right_ answers.
Never thought of that, but I like it. I figured there were also things along the lines of "Why do you want to be a hero," and he replies with "it's a hobby" and some other justice related things.
@@itzmedb8290and also stuff like:
What is your bigger fear?
Food rising in price
or mostly because he is not good at math or any other areas
My theory is that Mumen Rider is actually Saitama's physical embodiment and Saitama is his hero spirit because all the monsters went wild as soon as he appeared three years prior. Also, Mumen's physical capability is Saitama's "training regimen" and Saitama's power level is more akin to the heroic heart of Mumen. The fact that his character appears to be almost identical to when Saitama fought his first monster, before he "lost his hair" i.e. split from himself, also makes me think it is what the writers might have had in mind. This is, of course, a personal opinion only.
why would they even ask such questions? it makes no sense to have such questions as there are no logical answers to many of those. I think the more logical reason for Saitama to fail is, that he just isnt as smart as other people
The show is basically a deconstruction of the entire genre of super humans. It's also absolutely hilarious.
This series was funny asf😂😂. I don’t think he knew how funny he really was
I would say that's true for the first season. Second started to morph into what it was lampooning. I laughed so hard, my ribs and face muscles were hurting while watching the first, had a couple of chuckles during the second.
It's also commentary on Japanese society
true, it is not a show for newbies, you need to know the genre in order to appreaciate it....I would never recomnd OPM to get introduced to anime
Saying Mumen reminds you of Saitama before he trained is an amazing catch. Haven't seen another reactor draw that parallel, it's dead on.
I’m so proud of you watching anime. Especially since you put in the work to watch stuff subtitled. This is true fandom.
Thanks for supporting!
@@deving9793 of course pimp, keep expanding your pallet
The dub for OPM is pretty bad. Glad he went with sub.
Subs are for hipsters. What do you like more about subs over dubs? Do you think exaggerated Japanese sounds cooler than exaggerated English? No hate, I just think the reason people choose subs is to seem cool. Maybe I'm wrong and you have a legitimate reason for liking subtitles.
I honestly don’t understand the appeal of sub over dub. English is not like Japanese sentence structure and syntax is completely different so even if you’re watching sub you’re still only receiving an approximation of what’s being said translated into English and if I’m only going to receive an approximation I might as well watch the dub version.
Dood so glad you had the same mad respect for Mumen Rider. He may not have powers but he has more heart than anyone else. It take a real hero to literally put your life in front of danger to protect the innocent.
It started out as a web-comic that still runs to this day. ONE, or Tomohiro focus on doing the web comic as well as writing for both it and the Manga whereas Yusuke Murata is primarily responsible for the manga itself. Tomohiro: 'I do a web comic' Murata: 'I can turn it into a manga!' Tomohiro: 'Cool, but I get creative control' Murata: 'Cool!'
I would also like to note that 90% of the time, the protag appears as crudely drawn as possible for a reason! It not only pays homage to it's humble roots, but also helps to surmise Saitama's character in a visually compelling way. When he's not taking it seriously, the animators can draw him in a few minutes, but when he gets super serious serious, the artists do a total flex!
I love your personality. It shines when you react to action. Looking forward to seeing season 2.
Appreciate it!!
Dude, my man you’re in for a treat this show rocks. I feel bad that I wasn’t the one that recommended to you
That scene after the Deep Sea King fight shows that Saitama is a True Heroes' Hero. Also, here's a little background info behind Saitama's training... (tldr. at the end lol) He was still fighting monsters of various power levels non-stop alongside his work out regimen, he just forgot. Plus, the whole thing about no days off, no heating, no A.C. and only a banana in the morning is way more important than it seems cause it strengthened his spirit and willpower to the point where he can totally resist psychic abilities, plus literally resisting both death and monsterization. Repeatedly being pushed to near death ultimately being the cause of his growth.
Tldr... The training strengthened his spirit so that his constant near death experiences while fighting didn't cause him to either monsterize or die.
This is my favorite personal theory. If you notice, a lot of the monsters and heros have powers related to their personalities. This is specially true about the villains. Most of them turn into monsters due to obsessing over one particular thing so strongly for so much that it eventually became a reality. Like that guy that ate so much crabs that he turned into a crab. Or the scientist obsessing so much over immortality that he actually found it. In the one punch man universe, it seems like it's actually possible to just "will things into reality" if you're dedicated enough.
Saitama was obsessed with the idea of defeating any enemy with one punch, and he put so much dedication and hard work into it that he willed it into reality. Obviously if any person could do this than everyone would be op. The reason saitama is special is because he truly put much more dedication into putting in the work to achieve this goal.
Perseverance and dedication is a very big theme in one punch man. If you notice, many of the early villains in the series are obsessed by becoming strong or achieving a certain goal, but they don't actually want to put in the work to achieve this goal, so they always take the easy shortcut. What separates saitama from the rest is that he actually put in the work to push his body to the limit, instead of taking the easy way out. This is something he directly says to the scientist dude "human strength lies in the ability to change yourself!". That is why he's the strongest.
I can’t wait to watch the finale with you
1:59:20 Saitama there is just being the nice guy that he is. He saw that guy was literally laughing at the other heroes who risked their lives to save his pathetic butt, so he decided to make everyone believe he just waited for everyone else to tire the deep sea king for him to finish him off. He made himself look bad just to make everyone apreaciate the sacrifice of the other heroes who kept the people save until he arrived.
Also, the only genuene thanks card he recieved was from Mumen Rider. Other reason to appreciate his pure heart.
You caught that pretty well that chin guy 58:00 is the grandfather of the big chinned brat saitama saved from crab inspiring to create the hero association
Saitama: 'After that, I trained so hard I went bald.'
Devin: '...'
OMG BRO HERE WE GO
Yesss Sirr💪🏿💪🏿
Your reaction are pretty much what I thought too lol... its a fun anime 80 comedy / 20 more serious stuff but 100% good. 👍
Fun Fact: Mosquito girl actually survives this! It's a lot more clear in the manga because Saitama slaps her through the building but in the Anime she just bounces off of it, leaving a splattering of blood on the building that isn't hers, it's just the blood she absorbed earlier. That being said, even in the anime, you can see a purple sparkle in the sky as she blasts off team rocket style.
Unexpected but pleasantly surprised !
This show is great
1:02:15 😌 Perfect ! I was hoping you’d get this far and react to this fight / specific scene 👊
45:33 Now think for a second: Sonic just established that he's fast as fuck. And yet this dude n his massive power armor managed to give him the slip. He out-ninja'd the ninja.
09:50 "what are they? Sub Tartarian?"
Alexa, play "Somebody that I used to know".
Wow a marathon, cool. Oh you should check out "Dorohedoro"! So good, so violent.
Thank you for reacting to this !!! Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
This anime is a pure work of art.
The last 8min of ep1 9:22 is prob my fav fight animation of all time. The music never fails to give chills paired with those animators who are actual legends. All of Season 1 is a masterpiece.
Ye man this one's right up your alley!
Its a BLAST!!
@@deving9793highly highly recommended Death Note! Only 25 episodes, the English voice is great, it s on Netflix, it's awesome!!!
my dude....i watched the entire 2 hours!!! you need to keep going PLEASE!!!!!!
I think I just found another really good anime UA-camr 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🤩🤩🤩
Every time there is a change to a new episode, I wanna hit that line button! Lol 😂
This was an amazing reaction to watch/hear. It's always welcoming to see people get anime especially one of my favorites.
when you find out the voices used etc it's pretty cool
One Punch season 1 is top tier perfect 10/10 anime, the intro is lit, so good, I like the Dub myself
here in the UK we call him the "One Slap Chap"
It's actually funny because Saitama can't fly he just jumps really high he is just like any other human just infinitely stronger in every way and essentially just invincible
Ah, One Punch Man. A fun and wild ride. Good stuff.
Speaking of the Manga: King saw London, King saw France!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Vaccine Man resembles Piccolo from DB/Z and is actually voiced by the actor who plays Freeza.
The thing is that if you move your hand too fast to hit a mosquito over a long distance, your hand will make wind, and that wind will push the mosquito away from your hand.
its astounding how genos literally says 'I'm still the lowest at rank 17' and not evne 30 seconds later you're commenting like 'IS IT CAUSE HES IN THE TOP 10?!?!'
Really?
lmfao
Awesome you reacting to this show it’s one of my favorites
I don't watch a ton of Anime but I love this anime. I love when after fighting somebody (In season two so I will not say much) asked One Punch Man why he fights. His response was great "Because sometimes people need a hero."
I can’t believe I’m bout to spend 2 hours watching you watch one punch man 😂
dude your commentaries make a great show even better
I can't believe I never realized this until now, but Saitama is like the hero version of the rapper Tonedeff. He can knock anyone out of the park (yes, even Eminem like it was nothing for him) and he writes all these amazing intricate rhymes and he gets no recognition for it. Anyone who has seen Polyoptics on UA-cam (a free 4k documentary about the making of his latest Polymer album) knows there's nobody better. Not. Even. Close.
I recommended this so long ago! I’m happy it’s finally here 💪 it delivers
its just like what if a super hero was outlandishly a "super hero" lol
5:04 friendly fire will not be tolerated
Can't wait for 10-12 and S2!
Out of curiosity, can you do the One Punch Man training regiment? I can do like 10% of it haha
This is the greatest reaction ever on my list keep going with that gold price reaction!!,
Omg devin welcome to the wonderful world of anime never look back my brother and you will not be disappointed.
This show is so over the top. It's one of my favorites
You're so funny I had to sub.
>what's the motive
In his comically long introduction speech (for backstory) he mentions a crazed cyborg he wants to find and exact revenge upon for killing his entire village (family, friends and all). It isn't known even to this date, but my suspicion is that "Genos" is looking for himself. I think he did it, but no longer knows it. The robots you met already from "The Organization" are more (evil) cyborgs with names like his. The two were Destro (Destroy) and Elimin (Eliminate). Genos even wore a shirt at one point saying "Genocide". I don't think he is at all aware of any of this. Kuseno probably reprogrammed him leading to his hot-blooded pursuit of Justice (like Amai Mask) where he was over-eager and vicious about swiftly executing targets, just that it was 'bad people'. This before Saitama saved him and showed him the philosophy of an absolute pinnacle among men. For the time, just a theory (just seems really likely).
To clear something up, robots are what they are. Androids are robots shaped like humans (humanoid, as such). Cyborgs are organic (living) to some degree. Be it a case like T-800 (Terminator) with living flesh over an otherwise android or an organic with some degree of mechanization (whether blending well or not). Genos is a case of a boy's brain put into the body of a machine (android). As such, he is a cyborg. Just recall he's one with a completely organic mind (not a computer nor is he stated to be augmented in that regard in any way). He doesn't download knowledge from a Matrix or anything like that. He has to learn like any other human. Unrelated, but as you will have noticed by now, he's often a jobber. One step behind whatever the current real threats are (and always dropping his guard **just like Goku**). Ya hate to see it.
>like Vegeta
>the fully bald guy
>like Goku
>the dude with a widow's peak
Wild.
01:15:00 - "Golden Ball" is Japanese slang for testicle.
ngl black people always have the best reactions i love it
goddamn brother i love your reactions and 100% good move puttin it all in one video makes it real easy to watch more people should do dat shit cant wait for you to react to season 2
40:29 There's the best character of this anime. Mumen Rider. 0% power, infinite% pure golden heart and brave soul.
18:42 the legendary slap split earth and heaven
It brings joy people enjoying this anime
Thank you for reviewing 😎👍💯
DEMON SLAYER
Do NOT forget to check out the short special episodes. 6 for each season. They're so good.
Saitama reacted to his own show! All jokes aside, this is one of the best animes/manga I have ever read or seen, but most comedy anime usually have a big budget and are good.
Imagine be a gamer that cannot loser no matter how hard the game is. Like u can kill every single boss in Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Eldenring and all you want is to play a game that in your level. But no matter how hard you try you still damn good at games. That's Saitama for ya. He can't be defeated not even if he throw himself to the sun. He is strong for real. And he think its boring as hell and I agree. Do you constantly wanna win in games without any difficulties? That is a boring life. What if you manage to get so good paid that no job is difficult to you. What if you bought ur luxury home in LA, you a movie star, u a pro gamer and you just the best man in the world. You gonna be like Saitama that just want fun but everyone gonna hate you coz you too good for them. This serie really show how it would be like being immortal and the strongest and how easily boring life can be to live in a life like that.
Yes, Never thought about devin g doing one punch man
Mumen rider is captain America with no super serum XD
His reactions cured my depression
Nice reqction. Keep the good work
first orange picalo now purple picalo
Daaaamn one of my favorites! I’m watching this Fa sho
When you write the strongest superhero just for fun.....
Am happy Kanye East reacting to one punch man
Bro your video has a few times where the screen goes all black, you had me tripping, i though my pc was screwed up ahaha
this show is legit funny af
This is a bit of a spoiler. Do you know that the mosquito lady ACTUALLY SURVIVED? If you watch carefully the scene you can see her send flying away. She is seen later in the manga with the scientist Genus, who created her, he made her new legs and now have to inject her blood to feed her, artificial blood made specially for her.
1:00:17 you are welcome!
It's a spoof, a joke. A show making fun of other super hero shows... And somehow it became the Best Superhero show of all time!
ONE PUNCH!!!!!!
Mumen Rider needs that super soldier serum for real
I have been subscribed for a long time and I was wondering if you could react to an anime called Kengan Ashura is amazing and so fun, is about fighting, I really believe you are gonna love it.
Yes I can! You can you remind me in the future. I have a anime series lined up. One Punch, Demon Slayer, jujutsu Kaisen and whatever follows
Prob already been told but you should check out saitama vs hulk
hey dev! love this kinda content!
1:50:50
Always a fan
Yesssss I can't wait for the last 4 episodes 😮😮😮
Bro skipped 1st grade math🤣
Im not really into anime but this show made me laugh so hard and i love it
Dude you have to check out Samurai Champloo. It's a show about two of the hardest MFers to ever exist. Absolutely fucking wild.
opm is the asian david goggins
Genos is one of my top favourite cyborgs.
He gets a tonne of dirt from fans because he's compared to One Punch Man.
nice reaction buddy
Im immediately liking the vid since it isn't English dub
How do you make a show interesting when the main character wins every fight with 1 punch? You make the show about the sidekicks and villains. Everyone gets an elaborate backstory with tons of random info to keep you interested. You know Saitama isn't going to lose, but you never know with side characters.
Also look at Vinland Saga
Mumen Rider saved Geno's. Period
My man looks like black joe Rogan
oh man I was scrolling through youtube seeing loads of bs then instantly clicked on this!!!
They are heroes, not superheroes, but I guess you could call the S Class Superheroes.👍
Mob psycho next!!💯💯💯
1:23:03
No one has been able to complete Saitamas training 😂
Vinland saga would be a great show for u to pick up next
The stupid Amai mask or whatever his name is, is only class a rank 1 you won’t see class s rank 1 in the series gotta wait to either 3rd or maybe 4th season I don’t remember where he was introduced in the manga
