I went to a farm that charged $75 for adults and $20 for children three and older no snacks no tasting you had to bring your own drinks and no touching I didn't learn anything new It was a pretty place I loved seeing all the animals. $8.00 is more than reasonable bless your hearts.
You should talk to your local jr high and high schools for potential field trips and could charge $2-$5 per student. Might be a way to increase interest in agriculture for future generations. I know when I was growing up in Louisiana, we went on a couple field trips to farms and I definitely am planning on farming once I retire in a few years.
I love this idea! In Rhode Island, we lived behind a farm and during the fall/winter, they offered goat walks! Nothing more adorable than watching your five-year-old try to walk a goat!!!
I just received 250 blueberry plants for our future pick your own and adding 600 blackberries and raspberries. This would be a great idea to get people in to see our progress and the work it takes to establish. Great video
Great video and something I've had on my mind especially for our fellow military families and schools etc in the area. Liability is my only hesitation. Coming from the horse world it is always a concern.
I can see this as opportunity to educate people also about imported meats and how we dont know how animals were raised and how get around regulations by just being processed here in USA Not raised here just processed hurting our farmer by selling cheap but hurting everyone by sub standard produce sold as Prime Choice Packaging should require product country of origin as important as where it is processed
I’m happy it was a success. I wish we could’ve came Carbon, Tx is quite far though. As far as baby watch goes Big Mama and Lil Mama won’t disappoint they’ll come through like champs!
Everything is looking good Chuck. Your really fit the camera well lately. The spring sunlight has absolutely made your home glow . High five. How are LambChop and runt piglet doing?
Thanks! Lambchop is doing great. She is out with the rest of the flock now. The little runt didn't make it. I think he missed out on colustrum so he was behind the 8 ball out of the chute.
Interesting you bring up how someone from a separate farm took the footage. Would you say that it's easier for pasture farms to support and not compete with each other because you guys have a more limited quantity of meat products as opposed to the factory farms that specialize in mass production?
I think there is plenty of opportunity in this space. More and more people are becoming conscious about where the food comes from and how it’s raised. Their story and personality may resonate with someone that I can’t. Besides, it’s a small community that the big industrial farms would like to see go away and we have to support each other. Great question. Thanks.
What kid doesnt love to visit a farm. I was approached to supply a couple piglets to a petting zoo that does the markets here. Im not sure if u know what a petting zoo is but it is a small fenced area that contains chickens, baby goats, baby sheep, baby pigs, etc etc all types of animals found on a farm but are babies. They usually let the kids pet the animals for free or a small fee of a couple of $'s but sell small bags of feed so the kids can hand feed the babies. Unfortunatly my piglets are to big but my friend has berkshire and large blacks due in may so she will supply 2 of them which makes the petting zoo happy becuase kids are used to seing white pigs . When the pigs get to a certain size the petting zoo rotates the animals out and replaces them with younger animals. Ive seen them at schools, community events and even in shopping centers ( i think u guys call them mall's). Its just an idea but their real popular even in the rural area where i live. Love ya work chuck and the boss 😁. By the way this isnt liam but grant from australia my s21 died after 3 months so i borrowed liams ph till mine gets fiix
With your better half Sandra’s involvement you should charge $20 at least a head , if she isn’t keep at $8 I guess. 🤪 Just messing. good job looked great.

Wow! That’s crazy. Guess I need to go up on the price a little.........ah probably not.
Had the pork chops last night. Hands-down the best pork chops I’ve ever had
Glad you liked them. The thick ones are better but we are out of them.

I bet that is awesome. Good idea too! Thanks for watching.
Excellent idea. Sounds like a great value for the customer, and very generous of you to make the price so fair.

Those are GREAT venues for agritourism events. Lots of folks in our part of the world do that and have a lot of success. Thanks for watching.
This was a fantastic video on a subject I have yet to see covered. Really enjoyed it! Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback.

We did not do waivers but did check with our insurance carrier.
At least In Florida you can’t be held liable for injuries or anything like that due to agritourism
Great add on to the business and networking opportunities. You guys look like you're doing good work and having fun.
Thanks. It was a lot of fun. Seeing the wonder in those kid’s eyes was worth every minute.
As always, an excellent video full of great information!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
Wow thats a great idea and rewarding im sure! Thanks for sharing Chuck. Maybe one day
You’ll get there! Thanks for watching

Agree. This (supporting local farms) the only way you can truly know where and how your food is grown.
Great topics! If we lived closer to you I would definitely buy a half pig from you and savor the taste. Aloha from cold Pittsburgh🍄😃🌈🤙
Wish ya'll were closer too. Keep that cold up there! Thanks for watching.

How did you advertise your farm tour event? Thanks for the video!
We just posted on our website and Facebook.
😎👍
Thanks
Could make waiver part of tickets
As you charge for tour and have to have ticket make waiver part of ticket
Had not considered that. Good idea. Thanks
I’m coming to North Carolina in the beginning of July is there any farm tour

Oh....she's getting the $8 for sure. What mine is her's and what's her's is her's. 😆
@@SheratonParkFarms good maybe she can get more goats 🐐! 😆
My farm is closed . No one is allowed around my animals if they own animal . We are bio secure. I'll help anyone but not at the cost of my animals .
