I am ashamed that as old as I am, lived at Ibadan in the early sixties and listened to apala music especially artists as Ayinde Bakare and others, I never heard about Fuji music. Moved to the United States in the early seventies, I was busy trying to build a life and had little time to explore music scene until early twenties and the internet and UA-cam made listening and watching music videos became the order of the day. One day as I was watching a UA-cam video, I heard this sweet voice and lyrics by Wasiu Ayinde, “Ero mi ton jo…” I immediately searched for the Artist’s profile and inspiring musics. I have been hooked since then. Thank you Wasiu Ayinde for the Fuji notes. I love them all and play them loud like teenagers in the house. My Nigerian wife got used to the loud music but our American children couldn’t get used to what they consider noise. I told them I would keep my Fuji music and offer them the opportunity to move out. Lol!!! Long live Wasiu Ayinde aka Kwam 1 the ultimate.
