As for me I am staying away from chemicals, most ppl start back doing gina curls or jeri curls and relaxing hair cause they want their hair to be more managable however whether it is curls or relaxer,chemicals in general damages your hair!!! I had relaxed hair for over 15 years and I would never go back!

I just don’t understand why some of us are running to get perms again. Especially, with all of the evidence that those chemicals are detrimental to our health & maybe even our lives in the long run. Personally, I will NEVER go back to perms. Twelve years natural & loving it‼️ I didn’t even know the amazing things I could do with my natural hair back then.

I’ve been noticing that as well like a lot of the girlies who used to stan the natural hair movement and wearing their fro are now transitioning into more luxury lifestyle content and straight hair/high fashion clothing. I wonder if part of it is because natural hair is no longer making them as much money, so they switch their look to match trends that are paying them. Like them thinking Eurocentric aesthetic brings more wealth 🤔. Idk man this really could be studied like you said and be a whole other video 🙌🏾

Yes, it's definitely multiple factors at play: the decline in the interest in natural hair content, brands themselves wanting a certain aesthetic marketing their products, self image issues, and the list goes on.

I’ve shared a lot…but only a few times. It’s quite mentally draining. I think it’s easier in short form vs long form, where you have to record it, edit it, then you finally post it!? It’s so much phew. I do admire it though!

Been taking tret for years until recently (pregnant), it takes a long time until your skin gets used to it. But nothing compares to smooth my fine lines and pores. Also you may want to do a light layer of moisture before and after if you find your skin cant handle it well. Stick with it!

I never stopped peeling with tretinoin, even on the weakest dose. I ended up just going with adapalene. I am happy with it.

@@SheReaDelSol it hasn't been around long enough for there to be robust data on antiaging as with tretinoin, but I have zero fine lines after a few years of use.

You have to "work up" to using Tretinoin often. I was told start with once a week, then slowly increase. In about 6mths, you hopefully shouldn't peel or have irritation because your skin is used to it. You might only need to use once or twice a week. Also, use sunscreen & wear hats. Hope this helps a little.

Whew dental work is no joke! My insurance covered NOTHING. I had to pay over 1K up front for a crown which btw, came back and didn't even fit right. I have to wait 3 weeks for the new one and HOPEFULLY it fits. I've started flossing more, using a water pik, and using my spin brush because my gums were not doing well. I've managed to improve the health of my gums by a lot according to the dental hygienist since making these changes. It can be time-consuming but not too bad if I catch up on a few UA-cam videos.

Yo I had to get a root canal one time, and after that I was like… I NEED to get to get it together 😅. I got an electric toothbrush & portable water flosser, and Mann when I say game changer!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 electric toothbrush def is the way to go

Mix a pea sized amount of fragrance free non comedogenic spf lotion with an equal amount of adapalene …life changing
I use 0.05% tretinoin. My skin adjusted to it after 1.5 month, but there are still days where my skin flakes at bit. I only use the barrier serum from the ordinary, ceramide rich moisturizer, and Vaseline. If you’re still flaking a lot you might be using too much or another product you're using may have exfoliating ingredients. A little more than half a pea size for my face and neck is enough. You can also try doing to sandwich method ❤
Also let your skin fully dry before using tretinoin. If your skin is even a little damp it could make you peel more
