I mean, sure, as long as we're talking about the invis watch and the cloak and dagger but, this taunt is just free real estate for the dead ringer
I like how the spy and the coffin are separate, and results with the spy falling out of the coffin when hit.
I'm going to have so much fun with airblasting coffin spies into funny spots. I assume it works the same as how Rancho engies do, the character model will just stay in the taunt animation and can be pushed around, leaving the object part of the taunt in place. It looks so goofy.

Cloak and dagger makes a pretty loud sound, stock watch a little less so. So its somewhat silent.
And you get the improved 3rd person vision

The most busted part of this is definitely the interaction with sentries
There are a bunch of other taunts that do that too
Could be fixed by targeting the enemy's chest or pelvis bone, and if they dont have either of those (like the Monoculus) then target the center hitbox.
Have you tried to stick to the wall. I think you can straight just glitched yourself through wall, so the only thing that will be visible is spy's shoes

the taunt is a little bugged. If you get shot at all your model pops out and it looks silly, Also yes, you can technically taunt through walls.

My favorite part so far is when both times you got forced out of your coffin and nobody paid any mind, not even the Pyro who saw you pop out.
Finally Spy players can make how they're feeling inside match their outsides. Very cool cosmetic, thanks Valve!

its balanced, you cant attack during that time which means if a soldier direct hits you then your just dead
also spy straight up has a weapon that lets him turn invisible indefinitely (cloak and dagger) so like

except f2p players don't have this extra ability, also the fact that it's not so popular [bc its not free] makes it more effective

Actually fooled me earlier, only thing that gave it away was dome glow above the coffin, so I hit it once for fun, and it was a crit so it insta killed, honestly caught me off guard lol.
i genuinely believe that spy taunts like these are a subtle way the community is trying to make spy a stronger class

You can right click to basically do that
This is why I wish TF2 had a killcam where you could see what your opponent was doing a few seconds before they killed you. Imagine being killed like this and then seeing the killcam and being like "Wait, that coffin wasn't just a prop?".

if you're red, you will look for blue spots to see if there's an opponent there
the rest of the game is grey, brown and black, and wouldn't you know it, the coffin is brown
Yeah like the boxtrot is softly p2w but it still has red or blue on it, this one's just fucking brown like the rest of the coffins in the map.

When I first saw this taunt advertised on the in game shop, the coffin didn't render, but either way, being able to essentially lay down on the ground flat behind even the lowest of cover, visually, is borderline criminal.

One time, I used the spy's box taunt and hid on the corner of a point. The blu team didn't see me and couldn't cap, giving my team time to respawn.

The thing with these types of taunts ( for example the box) is that they are only useful for one or two months after release.
Because after some time most players will quickly catch on. It was a similar situation with the box taunt too.
It blends hilariously well with desert environments and pretty much no one notices anything that isnt either red or blue

to people talking about cloak, this is mostly relevant for using dead ringer and keeping your ability to be hidden
in a way, if you run out cloak you can just use this taunt and still stay hidden
As someone who played TF2 for a few hours in the same map, i can tell i still cant memorize my surroundings
I saw this on the workshop a while ago and I thought there was no way they would add this but here we are. I wish it had a bit more of blue and red colors because so far this easily fits in the background of the current halloween maps.
I did this in a lava pit game and in Mannsylvania. The enemy team couldn’t cap and they legit couldn’t figure out why. I did not expect it to work as well as it did.
f I had a nickel for spy having a box taunt that "broke" the game, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I think a plate on it that more distinctly shows a teams color might help. Otherwise, it remindes of a sidegrade to the box-trot emote (better hiding prowess at the cost of movement)
Also it might work less efficiently on non-Halloween maps
i never thought i'd see a taunt referred to as a "sidegrade" of another taunt
agreed. it blends too well with the rest of the halloween maps and I dont feel like playing prop hunt on the side

Normally I would say p2w, but the president for spy taunts like this was set by that one box taunt. So it’s not a new option. Also the coffin looks very out place on the non-halloween maps. It is still a cool taunt tho
the Box Trot is better cus a lot of maps take place in places with lots of boxes, meanwhile the Cript Creeper only works with Halloween maps

to those wondering why this is such a big deal;
its a straight upgrade to the box trot. you trade mobility for greatly increased convincingness of your prop disguise, as well as being lower to the ground which overall creates more room for ignoring you.
its basically a new invis watch with a different yet-to-be-recognized decloak sound so people are basically deaf to it, and you can "cloak" even with the dead ringer. now thats op.
i love when spy gets knocked out of it from knockback, the coffin doesnt move so the spy just appears to be laying on the ground, dead. EXTRA convincing.

I played with someone that has this taunt on a KOTH halloween map (i forgot the name) we won because the enemy had no clue
basically, the spy would make the taunt beside the stacks of lumber where the point is
Reminds me of the days of hiding on caps in a cardboard box and the attackers being incapable of figuring out the guy in the box is blocking the point.
The second I saw the taunt I was already awaiting a video like this.

Interesting how he gets pushed by damage even if the coffin doesn't, and the fact that you still get backstabbed has me wondering just what Spy's hitboxes look like while in this state.
The way he pops out makes me chuckle every god damn time

quick reminder there are many cosmetic combinations that make it impossible to tell which team are you on
this made me imagine what it'd be like if spy had an unlockable disguise kit that would let him disguise as objects instead of players, à la prop hunt

My favorite thing to do with the Coffin is to ask a teammate to tell a joke, and when they do I go "Man I'm dead" and then I do the taunt
When I saw this I immediately knew it would be box trot 2.0. When the box trot tauint was added there would be entire teams of spys that would just hide all around the map. It was great. Now we can do it again.

I did this day 1 of its release. It's like a poor-man's cloak and dagger for halloween maps. Pairs really well with the DR when you're out of cloak.
