Start of the interview Sir Ashir clearly mentioned about the topic "reality vs Illusion" but Syed Imam sb tried his best to kept us into illusion, like motivational speaker, preaching positivity even though Ashir Sb tried his best bring the reality out of him, which is the proof as he said he still want to do many things, mean he will try to remain the part of this illusion (system) which is itself a illusion for Imam sb & people like him, a dream of every css officer, to kept themselves in power even after their death unfortunately. Only few has the courage to speak and blunt & no doubt Ashir sb is the one. Ashir sb 5 minutes video is more worth than listening to Mr Imam whole interview. We are Still in Illusion, & will remain.............. a sad reality

I think a core question is why the police department is not an stand alone independent department.
The department should be independent without any political of judicial influence so that they can work and implement which is better and should be held reponsible of their actions omission commision or etc
Kaleem Saab, a humble question being a common man, may i ask from you that why a common man is afraid to enter Thana(Police Station)? You remained IG Police for Punjab and Sindh, same situation was prevailing in your tenure and thereafter. Then what good we achieve? Absolutely, you were responsible some way or the other when you were at top of department. If not, then accept you were compromising with the ruling elite of the country.The problem is, Here everyone talks and talks and talks and talks only.

But I think agar bnda imandar ho to khul k bt krni chahiye na k diplomatically... police mai corruption bilkul hai, opar se orders milty hai aur siyasi mudakhilat be tahasha hai etc. Police officers zyada tr corrupt hothy hai waghera waghera aur pir btana chahiye k kis had tk es ko teek krny k liye kam kiya giya, kitny officers ko pakrha giya accountability etc. Q k ye sb ko pta hai haqeeqat hai k police corrupt tho hai, es mai koi shak nhi k muashira b corrupt hai lekin en officers ka kam hi yhi hota hai k logo ko teek kry na k logo ka kam k police ya other institution ko teek kry.

In your discussion you have talked about PhD as if it is a very high achievement. Believe me these days people with PhDs know little even about their own subject. Education in Pakistan is in a very sorry state.

The most important thing in society is Law. It should emanate from society's collaborative effort. If law will be made by those who are the beneficiary of this system, things will not be changed. Second thing is Police is always under the local body system in developed countries, every sizable city has its own police and funded by local body taxes. In Canada, a small city of 300,000 population has its own police, its own chief appointed by elected mayor, it is totally a local institution while other small or rural towns are policed by RCMP, a federal police. Why not we can have such type of systems in our country. Here a province of 120 million people is headed by a IG, what a joke is it? But I am disappointed, there is nothing going to change because this system works in the best interest of our ruling elite, politician and establishment alike.
This IG is just trying to defend the system as he has been part of it and benefitted from it. He is not answering openly any of the questions or issues raised by Ashir.

Of course the smarter ones like Kaleem Imam rise and stay within the system to make their own life comfortable. Anyone with intellectual integrity is taken out :) ... the rule is simple, if you cannot beat us join us. Mostly Sir Imam Kaleem talked about " should be" ; not about the current situation. He talked about non-existent book rules , ignored ground reality at all.

Sir why dont you talk about the life of lower and middle ranks in your department? in Customs an officer of Grade16 gets another promotion in the same scale i.e, BPS-16 after serving for 30 years and board terms it So-Called promotion. No matter how professionally sound and qualified a junior staff is, no matter how many years of service he has to his credit, he remains in the same grade. in your own words, in the absence of any perks he only has one incentive to remain in Govt. service: Corruption. Beaurecracy descriminates against them in field postings of they eventually manage to get BPS17. This whole class structure is destroying the department and this country as a whole.

I will not blame police only, this happens in every department of the country. There are either no SOPs or they are not at all followed.
Aashir Azeem will never understand the mindset of people like Kaleem Imam who does not stereotype people of any community, language and ethnicity, In a film he conceived and produced in which he incriminate and presented and stereotype image of certain communities and ethnicity . This ingrained biases and prejudices is ruining Pakistan, Army makes TV dramas and present themselves as saviors of Pakistan and others are looting it, Punjab representing 60-70% occupants in every institution should accept all the failings and develop reforms so that resentment and grudge between provinces should end.

مجھے ایک چند ماہ ھی ھوۓ تھے کراچی آۓ ھوۓ اور میرا کسی سیاسی جماعت سے کوئی تعلق نہیں تھا ۔
مگر ایک رات میرے ماموں کے گھر میں دیوار کود کر کچھ پولیس والے آگۓ اور سب کو ایک جگہ جمع کر کے مجھے الگ کر دیا گیا
مجھے جب لے جارھے تھے تب سنا کسی نے کھا بابا اپنے بچے کو صبح آٹھ بجے تھانہ گلزار ھجری سھراب گھوٹ لینے آجانا۔
مجھے بہت مارا گیا پیروں کے تلوۓ پر انتہایی شدید مار ماری پھر آدھے گھنٹے تک تھانہ کے لان میں دوڑایا گیا کلاشن کے بٹ مارے گۓ۔
خیر صبح ھوئی ایس ایچ او آیا أس نے بھی سے پہلے مجھے بلایا اور پوچھا تم نے جو کیا ھے سب سچ بتا دو ۔۔۔ اب کچھ کیا ھوتا تو رات کو اتنی ذیادہ مار کھا کر بتاھی دیتا۔
ایس ایچ او نے مجھے باغور دیکھا اور پولیس والوں کو گالیاں دینی شروع کر دیں کہ تم ایک بچے کو پکڑ لاۓ ھو اسکی تو داڑی بھی نہیں آئی۔ اور لگھتا بھی شریف ھے۔ میرا پورا انٹرویو لیا چاۓ پلائی بسکٹ کھلاۓ اور فری میں چھوڑ دیا۔ میں نے جاتے جاتے کہا سر ایک بات کہنا چاھتا ھوں۔ اگر پولیس میرے جیسے بے گناہ اور شریف لوگوں کو اسطرح أٹھاۓ گی اور بے رحمانہ تشدد کرے گی تو معاشرے میں باغی سوچ پروان چڑھے گی لڑکے دھشت گرد بنے گے۔ اس کھا پولیس بھی انسان ھے غلطی ھو گئ معاف کرڈو۔۔۔ اور گھر جاؤ۔

Mr. Retired IG is incorrect here thinking police is not generating crime but reacting. In our real life experience it is totally opposite.
snatching, murder, shops locks broken started when police station built in a partucular location karachi.
why police has not implementing character portfolio setup, why every criminal person gets the job in police. Even guy involved in fighting and other unlawful activities become ASIs in police.
Simply due to bribes work in appointments and postings.

Sindh police is corrupt, killer and sadly there is no action from agencies, they say that hamaray mulk par koi maili ankh say dekhega ham aankh nikal lengayy, daily Karachi mein log mar rahay hein, pata nahen aankh sirf bahir say anay walay dehshat gardo ki nikali jati hay, jo mulk mein mojood ghaddar hein un par kuch nahen
