  • A mid-level library (roughly $150) that's FAR superior to the low-priced but solid "Felicity" ($49,and as low as $4 with deals on some sites) but not as fully - featured as the flagship "Omnisphere," the champ at this sort of thing, but at almost $500, to rich for many.
It's all pads. Four slots instead of Omnisphere's eight, and no way to use keyboard split or velocity to blend the slotted voicings, but it's MUCH easier to learn (I did this Demo 24 hours after buying the package and taught another keyboard player how to use it a few hours ago) and it has multiple ways of moving between layers (automation from LFOs, Recordable XY paths, etc) and for moving the sound source around in 3D Space in real time.
If you're not technical at all, Lunaris has some wonderful "Randomize" tools that will get you started towards creating your own patches - it comes with myriad patches organized nicely, but creating your own is a snap. Bang for the buck, this is perhaps the best PAD library on the market.
This demo is comprised of 16 patches I created in the last 24 hours, with NO EQ, NO compression, NO DAW effects, no active mixing and no mastering except gain to -12dB. No overdubs - the wind and rain and birds and all the other ambient sound is PART OF THE PATCH. Nothing was overdubbed. This is sixteen distinct patches, so anything you hear at any point in time is being PLAYED LIVE.
This is not a Demo of what I can create professionally; it is a demo of what you can achieve OUT OF THE BOX, in very little time, LIVE to the DAW.
Imagine, if you would, what the next Oasis Series piece will be like with some of these patches EQ'd, compressed, and overdubbed!
