You can drink at any age, it's illegal for stores to SELL you alcohol if you're under 16, strong liquor is 18. ;) There are no laws for when you can drink.
Well Mexican people(My family would beat your ass if you held a bear in your hand, but don't mind giving you a million sips of liquor and stuff haha) and some folks who live in the country(at least in the south).
Moms against drunk driving wanted the age 21 for a number of reasons: 1) Our driving ages were lower, often significantly so, than most of the world's. 2) The amount of older teens dying in drunk driving accents and the rate of DUI's amongst our youth population was the highest in the world. 3) Studies had just been made available that said most people's brains weren't fully developed until 25. 4) Our consent laws are looser than most countries. They range from 14 in South Carolina to 18 in the most populous states, with most states having a consenting age of 16, and allowances and exceptions being made for consenting individuals between the ages of 12 and 18 to legally have sex and have it not be seen as illegal under the law. 5) Even before the ban, our underrage drinking rate and the amount of deaths from drinking amongst our youth population was higher than most Western countries, and it remains so today. Mom's against drunk driving eventually appealed to state legislature, demanding that they raise their drinking age to 21, or else they would cut funding for their roads and infrastructure. It was subsequently changed to 21 nationwide. : In most states, you are actually allowed to buy basic alcohol like beer and wine at 18 years of age. All states also allow drinking by youth in public premises as long as they are supervised. How strict people are tends to hinge on things like what county you are in. The drinking limit is really not taken seriously even by law. It's sort of like a slightly more severe version of the firework ban that a lot of states have but most don't really act against it whatsoever
Believe it or not, but here in Germany you're allowed to drink with the age of 16. 😃 You can go into a store or a bar and drink beer and wine legally. All the other stuff, as we call it here "strong alcohol" like Vodka, Whiskey, Jägermeister and so on you have to be 18 to buy it.
In Germany, you can drank beer with an age of 16. I am 19 and do not like beer, I like to drink a soft drink more. And I think, I can buy a soft drink in america too, I hope.
Wow, what a contrast. Where I live, in Denmark, there isn't even a drinking-age. There is a buying-age (16) but if you drink at 12, it ain't illegal ;)
+Holly does soft alcohol mean only beer or is it like drinks with under 25% alcohol or something? In Finland when you're 18 you can buy drinks with max 20-25% (not sure of the exact number) and when you're 21 you can buy anything
You can play with guns when you're 5 but you can't drink till you're 21. Oh America, you'll never stop to make me laugh, especially now with that comedy act you guys have with Trump. Hilarious country. Love it :)
Oh England (assuming), keep on fighting the good fight. Hopefully kids will be able to drink everywhere soon thanks to your efforts. Justice will prevail.
Katya Lastovkina Lol, not from the UK. My comment was not so much about the drinking but the misguided priorities the US has. There is no age on the use of guns. You can drive when you're 16. Enlist in the army to get yourself killed when you're 18 and drink when you're 21. I'm sorry, that just seems odd to me.
In my country you can drive, drink and buy a gun at 18. But you need a licence to have a gun. The licence requiere a mental healht exam and a clean criminal record. If you are a domestic abuser perpetror you can not have a licence.
@@AngelusHale well, the logical basis for drinking prohibition under 21 is constructed by medical reasons, not by "common sense" so to say. For example, in my country you can drink after turning 18. Yes, you are legally an adult, so you should be able to choose what substances to use, right? The thing is that what government thinks about maturity and ability to take certain rights like drinking, having sex, driving, having a gun and how maturity and ability actually defined by scientific data and research are separate methods to define laws. Certain things that can seem more "adult" than others can be accessed earlier, because the logical thing to do is to use different methods to measure impact on person, physical and mental requirements, and not go by common sense. With that in mind, it is logical to have the right to drive a car for example or have sex at eighteen, because you reached needed requirements - a certain level of brain development that brings you stable thinking and needed intellectual capacity, and you don't have the right to drink or take other drugs, because you haven't reach the requirements - fully developed brain. If you use a car without the possession of needed requirements, you will harm yourself, as well as if you use alcohol. That's why this laws seem unorganized, but they actually aren't. Sorry for a very long response, I didn't know how to put it shorter.
I learnt recently that my German mum (completely sensible, couldn’t imagine her doing anything like this) had a fake license when she went to America for a year so that she could drink.
I relate so much to him, me and my family went on holiday (or vacation to you guys) to Miami 2 days after I turned 18 here in UK and I quickly realised how in effect I had just added 2 more weeks to my long wait of being able to drink in public. We also went to california and nevada two years later when I was 20, two years into my drinking years, yet still 'underage' in America. I was surprised how I wasn't even allowed to sit in a bar, let alone drink in one.
In the uk you can drink at any age as long it’s at home and at the pub as long as you get someone to get it for you but you can buy alcohol at 16 from shops but can only order beer from a pub yourself at 18. And we can drink anything it doesn’t matter what or how strong it is.
@@dirtygears6607 in uk you can't buy alcohol unless you're 18. It's illegal to sell alcohol to those u18 or buy alcohol for someone that is u18, although legally speaking if you are on licenced property the owner of said property can give permission for those as young as 5 to consume alcohol.
And I was heartbroken when I was in London and I couldn't get a drink, I'm Belgian and the legal drinking age for beer is 16 here (for strong drinks it's 18). Like Germany and The Netherlands.
+JVdShadow not anymore in the Netherlands it's not. Since January this year the legal drinking age went to 18. The point of that being that although the Dutch don't mind 16 year olds having drinks, they do mind them buying it for their 13 or 14 year old friends. Now the 18 year olds can buy it for their 16 year old friends and all is well in the world.

THANK YOU I AM HEARTBROKEN TOO. In my country once you turn eighteen you can buy drinks, go to clubs and get cigarettes... Over here, in San Francisco I cant even buy a lighter even tho I dont intend on using it for smoking ;~;
Yeah, but at least he can kind of pull it off. There's one guy on "Sex Education" who's supposed to be in high school and he's 26 or 27. And looks at LEAST 26 or 27!
I Belgium you can drink fermented alcohol at 16 (beer and wine and stuff) and a distilled alcohol at 18 But any 12 year old can buy alcohol, it’s not that heavily checked/ a reinforced rule like in America
Turning 18 in the UK is being legally able to do all the things you’ve been doing since you were 15 😂

Dear lord, you were lucky. I only found out about the show and got *really* addicted to it in 2016!
Who's this cute little heart throb???
+fenkinfe - the protagonist of enders game and the boy in the stripped pijamas
Juan Valdez oh man i knew i recognized him! Thanks!
+fenkinfe - His name's Conan. He's quite tall, actually.
No not conan obrian
Andy?
I’m so confused with how Americans don’t allow drinking until 21. Most countries have it at 18 (or even lower)
It's because we are dumb
Pretty sure its cause they don't trust people younger than 21 to not drink and drive
It's because the brain doesn't stop developing until you're 25,and alcohol slows down or stops brain development
@@sloppymcfloppy3115 Yet their trusted to drink and hold a gun abroad
It’s cause we are idiots and not responsible
Logan lerman, Asa Butterfield and Freddie Highmore, please make a movie together!
He Reminds me of Freddie Highmore with the resemblance
Oh my gods! I would watch the heck out of it. They would be brothers of sorts I imagine.
Just wondering.. Do people in America actually respect the age limit?
The answer is no lmao... I know people who started drinking at 12
Nah, 21's outrageous. We drink off our alcoholism by then.
Abi Wilson Glamourgirl25 That's what I thought, because it's the same over here in Europe, most of us start way before 16.
its why they moved it to 21 it used to be 18 but 18 yr olds got 16 year olds drinking
mycollegeshirt and that's why here in Germany the drinking age is 16 lol
Lol it's Not-Spiderman
😂
+Batman蝠 He was basically confirmed to be Spider-Man and he was switched out kinda last second
+Devin Drasad I read a theory that he went in for a screen test with Robert Downey Jr. Who is 5'8 while Asa is 6'0...and it didn't look right with a skinny spiderman towering over Iron Man....Tom Holland is 5'7...so yeah that might've been part of the final decision.
+Batman蝠 I agree too he doesn't seem like a good fit
+Maddie Siegmund oh I guess that makes sense
And the Caribbean is like: Legal age 18 but every parents guve their child alcohol once 10 and over
I can't believe it's not butterfield!
Lol, you can drink at 16 in Denmark, but if you wanna buy strong liquor it's 18.
Sisse Ribeiro Kjærgaard you can drink at any age in Denmark, but you can buy beer and other alcohol up to 16,5% at the age of 16
Same in Belgium
Skal!
You can drink at any age, it's illegal for stores to SELL you alcohol if you're under 16, strong liquor is 18. ;) There are no laws for when you can drink.
Same in Switzerland
He sounds like Tom Felton
That's what I was thinking 😂❤️
Oorianne doovies thank god! I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks that!
No he doesn't
omg yes
Omg literally what I thought lmao
UK: we can drink at 18!!!
All Germans in the comments: hold my beer
Philipenoes hold germans beer at age of 3
America: you can't drink until you're 21
Mexican people: hold my beer
*Mexican people who have 18:*
@@karolcarrillo8763 or just Mexican people in general * not younger than 15*
Well Mexican people(My family would beat your ass if you held a bear in your hand, but don't mind giving you a million sips of liquor and stuff haha) and some folks who live in the country(at least in the south).
@@NoFaceCobain and your point is?
@@itslife1399 mine too, but there are a lot of Mexican people *that I know* who drink, but are not younger than 15
America: where you can own high caliber rifles at 18, but can't have a beer until you're 21.
He's 18??? wtf
This is an old clip he's 19 now.
That's from last year. He is 19 now
IKR
Sheila De La Rosa 20
Cris Vilela hes 20 now.
TBH, as much as I like Tom, I’m still kinds heartbroken that Asa didn’t get to be Peter Parker.
He not missing out on anything.
No...that's sex you're talking about.
hes missing alcohol which is great
+Ivan S I think he meant that sex is overrated not drinking, either way both can be fun and horrible lmao
VietyV Where the fuck did he get all that from?
Herb Bees
me or ivan?
He sounds just like Tom Felton when he was 18 lol
americans, letting People drink and go clubbing at the Age of 21 but put them in cars with 16
haha I always think that's weird, but maybe they wanted less DUIs?? lmao
Sometimes even younger for driving.
so?
14 in some states
Moms against drunk driving wanted the age 21 for a number of reasons:
1) Our driving ages were lower, often significantly so, than most of the world's.
In most states, you are actually allowed to buy basic alcohol like beer and wine at 18 years of age.
"Oh no I can't even get served a pint in a pub, what can I do?!!"
*Buys an AR-15*
this guy kinda reminds me of Luhan ^.^ he has a cute (baby)face haha...

Wow I was not expecting to find any Kpop comments here, but now I have. And it's made my day!
Andy the voice of reason!
thought he be heartbroken about not being Spiderman
LOL
L literally why I clicked on the video
Germany, france, Belgium and the netherlands 15 year olds get drunk every weekend😂
Lmao in the uk every gets smashed at like 12
@Dirtiestofharrys Like you can talk, you're probably proud that kids are able to wield killing machines even before they're 18
Believe it or not, but here in Germany you're allowed to drink with the age of 16. 😃
You can go into a store or a bar and drink beer and wine legally.
All the other stuff, as we call it here "strong alcohol" like Vodka, Whiskey, Jägermeister and so on you have to be 18 to buy it.
I'm coming to Germany!!😆😆😆
Same thing goes for Belgium🇧🇪
you can actually drink at the age of 4 in the uk , but you have to be with your parents in your house but your not allowed to buy it until your 18
Hallo Nachbar! SAME in Austria 🙌🏾🇦🇹
Um Nachbarn zu sein, ist Österreich etwas weit weg von mir. 😃
Fun fact: here in Britain, you only have to be five years old to drink on private property with permission.
Lewis T you can actually drink at any age in the uk as long as it’s in your own home or on private property
It’s the same in America.
Monte Fornet no it isn’t. You CANNOT drink until you turn 21
The way it should be :)
Monte Fornet it isnt
I'm so happy that he's getting more attention and popularity this year! It's amazing how fast he is growing both as an actor and a young man!!
USA: You cant drink until ur 21
British:hold my beer..
Actually give that back we can drink at 18
In Germany, you can drank beer with an age of 16. I am 19 and do not like beer, I like to drink a soft drink more. And I think, I can buy a soft drink in america too, I hope.
Wow, what a contrast. Where I live, in Denmark, there isn't even a drinking-age. There is a buying-age (16) but if you drink at 12, it ain't illegal ;)
in germany its nice 16 soft alcohol (beer etc) and 18 hard alcohol
+Holly The only good thing about living in Germany.
+Kamil B they are decriminalizing weed. Aint that right?
+Holly does soft alcohol mean only beer or is it like drinks with under 25% alcohol or something? In Finland when you're 18 you can buy drinks with max 20-25% (not sure of the exact number) and when you're 21 you can buy anything
+Holly i visited Berlin at age 17 and they wouldn't sell me a beer :/
+Zulu Snem First I've heard of it.
I have loved him since Merlin. Watching him grow up...its been amazing!
2:05 The Goblin from Spider-Man 1 movie 🤣🤣, Norman
If you are a domestic abuser perpetror you can not have a licence.
lol i'm pretty sure you can't legally have a gun at 5 years old, but i understand, the gun control system in america is kind of very broken
He looks like a Tim Burton cartoon, in a good way.
You know in Germany you can drink beer and wine at 16, the harder stuff at 18, America just like nope....
Caroline Schaffner same here in denmark (;
Also in Belgium
In the uk you can drink at any age as long it’s at home and at the pub as long as you get someone to get it for you but you can buy alcohol at 16 from shops but can only order beer from a pub yourself at 18. And we can drink anything it doesn’t matter what or how strong it is.
@@dirtygears6607 in uk you can't buy alcohol unless you're 18. It's illegal to sell alcohol to those u18 or buy alcohol for someone that is u18, although legally speaking if you are on licenced property the owner of said property can give permission for those as young as 5 to consume alcohol.
Damn, this really proved it to me that anyone turns me on if they're British.
Brick ByBrick Ahh good old negativity on UA-cam. Have a nice day, love. Hope you have a good day :) (cool username btw)
So... im a girl so i can turn you on 😂😂 lmao
Google Johnny Vegas.
Wow 18 already! Time is crazy.. but this video reminds me of all those old 1D interviews haha about drinking age
Yaaaas
His eyes are just so piercing!😭
And I was heartbroken when I was in London and I couldn't get a drink, I'm Belgian and the legal drinking age for beer is 16 here (for strong drinks it's 18). Like Germany and The Netherlands.
Hell yeah, like it should be!
Didn't know that, must have missed the news, but yeah, drinking laws don't change a lot I have the feeling...
well you can get a beer or glass of wine at 14, as long as you're with an adult and having a meal.. weird rule I know
In Portugal it’s the same
i've been waiting for this child to be 18 ever since i first saw him on the boy with the stripped pajamas so it wouldn't be weird for me to have a crush on him so god bless
Uhh... u were attracted to that little boy ?!!! Or i guess u mean u knew he was gonna be attractive when he's older, okeeyy
Im thinking the same about little nemo??? From mr nobody
I really like Asa's deep voice!!
USA: You can‘t Drink When you are 18
16 year old kid in germany: Hold my wodka
I'm not sure about Germany, but in Austria, where I live, you can drink alcohol science 16, but it must be low alcohol drinks, wine, beer, but not wodka :)
ddd7386 yeah same in Germany
@@ddd7386 Und bis vor ein paar Jahren durfte man in Wien, Burgenland und Niederösterreich mit 16 alles trinken. Ich habs noch genießen können.
I thought it said Asa heartbroken for not playing spiderman
same hahaha
he'd be better playing Robin in a Batman movie
This is why I roll my eyes when Americans talk about their 'freedom'
Is his hair naturally that black? It's amazing!
You would be blown away by Asians.
Me: at a bar celebrating my 18th
The bartender whose been serving me for years: 😐
THANK YOU I AM HEARTBROKEN TOO.
In my country once you turn eighteen you can buy drinks, go to clubs and get cigarettes... Over here, in San Francisco I cant even buy a lighter even tho I dont intend on using it for smoking ;~;
Tragic...
Where did you go? I was able to buy a lighter before I turned 18; albeit not a good one, but a working one.
He's 23 and potrays the role of a 16 yr old
Actors in their late 20s or their 30s portray high school/college kids very often lmao especially if they gotta baby face like Asa
Yeah, but at least he can kind of pull it off. There's one guy on "Sex Education" who's supposed to be in high school and he's 26 or 27. And looks at LEAST 26 or 27!
He looks like an anime character
12 year olds get served in rural Ireland. I often drank with our local Garda (police officer) on the weekends.
in the netherlands and belgium the legal age for drinking is 16 so we have it good :)
He does not look 18 I think I'm stuck at the time he was 14 and I think he still looks the exact same.
i can see Ben Affleck as batman, i can see Jared Leto as joker but i cant see Asa as spiderman.
Because he's not going to be. Tom Holland is.
+So Jin Choi oh yeah. i guess i got mixed up.
+Oscar Delgado he would be a better spiderman than Tom Hollan
+Juan Valdez right because you've seen him in the spiderman role already
+Juan Valdez you mad bruh?
In Denmark there's no drinking age, only a buying age 🙂
That makes so much sense
Some find it odd that when reaching a certain age, you can be sent off to fight in wars, but still aren't permitted to vote, or buy alcohol.
ahh asa is so beautiful i love him so much
I Belgium you can drink fermented alcohol at 16 (beer and wine and stuff) and a distilled alcohol at 18
But any 12 year old can buy alcohol, it’s not that heavily checked/ a reinforced rule like in America
Well he's 21 now 🤔
So.. 🍻
Cheers lad
