The concert couldn't have found a worthier trainer and arranger than Uttam ji. He - as always - was absolutely brilliant!
Amongst the participating singers, Javed Bhai was magnificent. There have been very, very few singers over the last four decades who could do so much justice to the eternally unmatched Rafi Saab.

Sadly, it wasn't the best day for Bela ji... she's such a brilliant singer otherwise!
This comment wouldn't be complete without a resounding applause for Bhagirath Bhatt ji on the sitar. He brought Rais Khan Saab alive in every portion he played.

Simply fantastic and wonderful. Lata Ji used to call him Madan Bhaya.Even Rafi Sahib used to resent that Madan Ji preferred Talat Mahmood to him.He was a legend along with Naushad and Roshan.

Madani is immortal. He was one of the top four composers in Hindi film industry. His compositions are remembered and sung with great love and respect even after about 50 years after his demise. It’s extremely unfortunate that he never got the recognition what he really deserved. Even established top singers who sung many of the best compositions of Madanji and received applause all over the world for singing Madanjis compositions, did not ever help in promoting Madanji to to banners and work for getting awards for Madanji. It’s not that some of the leading singers did not promote composers but Madanji was always sidelined by top banners and awards committees despite giving numerous top of the world compositions. Madanji certainly should have received Filmfare awards for Anpadh, Woh Kaun Thi, Dastak, HeerRanjha, Mausam and Haqueekat to name only a few of his best creations. Had he received his due recognition, then we could have been fortunate to have Madanji with us for atleast 20 more years with many new melodious compositions! I salute Madanji for what he has given us to make our lives worthy of living with his music.
My salute to Uttam Singhji for conducting this show extremely well. Uttam hi himself is a legend and the best violinist we have.
The musicians who played in this concert gave splendid performance especially Shruti Bhave with her talking violin and Gondkar with us Raiskhani sitar!!
Madanji was music director of music directors. So many soulful songs composed by the genius. Aaj socha has always been my favourite.

It is unfair to say that madan mohan sir were depressed because of not getting awards how depressses person can give outstanding music in later life in films like dastak, heer ranjha,parwana, hanste zakham,mausam laila majnu madan mohan did not care for awards in his whole career he continue to give outstanding irrespective of stars ,baners,and awatds

It’s a pity with a population of India approaching 1.5 billion, they only produced a handful of singers. Not a single female single was worth listening in the show. Anoop Ji was a disaster as well. Is he a singer at all? The golden, silver or even copper era of Hindi music excellence is gone forever never to return. Zindagi ke safar mein guzar jate hain jo mukaam wo phir nahi aate.
