Most interesting year of "my life"...she is always pausing and too careful when it comes to identifying or generalizing herself to occassions like race, sexuality, etc because she feels that her skin tone and money and fame separates herself from affects that a normal person of her quota would feel who doesn't have money. Really surprised that she did not make her production team change their name from black castle, LOL. But hey, as long as she is happy being her human being and she found the right person to help her eliminate a lot of the usual distorted stuff that comes out of her mouth. Black opinion here: Calling Black people "articulate" is a micro-aggression. It insinuates that you assumed that she wouldn't be smart enough to put sentences together. You notice, that no one ever calls white people articulate. It's just ASSUMED that they would naturally be well spoken. I miss her on the show. People love to complain about "cancel culture" these days, when no one ever actually gets "cancelled". I feel like she got so much crap over the years over nothing but speaking her truth. And trying to dissect some hidden meaning out of eveyrthing she says where to me she's always been very straight forward. No guessing required.
There are a few people saying things like "traditional marriage is here to stay no matter what" and bringing up how she married a white woman. I don't get it. Not to generalize, but it sounds like those people are more right wing, so I don't know the mindset they are coming from, but it seems that they have a problem with LGBTQ and people of different skin colors being together. All I can say to them is to relax. The inclusion and equality of recognizing gay marriage the same as a straight marriage is not a destruction of straight marriage. We are all the same species--human--so what is the big deal if she marries a white woman? There isn't one.
