It may be more expansive to maintain. and there are indeed a lot less Mercedes Repair shops. But that's because it will last longer and does not need to be repaired every 15 miles! and no Im not exaggerating. Ford Deliberately designs their vehicles to break down. makes all of their parts with a "shelf life" made out of as much cheap plastic as they can. and forces you to buy specialized tools to get parts out that are designed to be in as hard to access locations as possible so that you have almost no choice but to use one of those "readily available shops"!
Well done, very thorough and clearly communicated! You mostly answered the one question I’ve had. You said the CCC for the Sprekko is about 220 lbs more than the Trekko, but are the actual CCCs for each? I believe the Trekko is roughly 1,500 lbs… can you please confirm that the Sprekko is roughly 1,700 lbs? I’m assuming no pop-top. Thank you!
Been looking at both. Just recently came back from trip from Pa to Colorado and back. 4000 miles. All sorts of weather . Lows were 25 and highs were 55. Drove hard and fast with truck. Which one would be better overall? Leaning towards sprinter. Better and more cockpit space
Great presentation and comparison!
Sprinter is much more expensive to maintain and there aren’t as many Mercedes dealerships as there are Ford ones.
Thank you for your input!

I wish the Sprekko had a flatter floor without the shelf sticking out so much. Makes it slightly more difficult to load multiple bikes.
I hear you! It’s a tough trade-off between storage space and open floor plans.

The OCCC is about 1,500 on the Trekko, the Sprekko would be closer to 1,700 before any additional options

Agree, especially if you are hitting those gravel roads!
