They do bite. It was mating season and he was getting Territorial. Their teeth are razor sharp and leave huge wounds. I'm surprised that he didn't do too much damage to here toe.

If it lived nearby it might be used to it, a lot of animals that live near resorts become pretty docile after awhile especially if people are feeding them.
Iguanas can and do bite, we used to have a male and he got very territorial. If you entered the study (where his tank and the snake tanks were) he'd shoot out of the tank and attack your shoes and bite the leg of your pants. One time he bit me on the arm when I was dealing with the boa constrictors

kazumazkan Iguanas belong in the wild, zoo, or in the care of someone that has the knowledge to properly care for them. Most pet iguanas die prematurely from kidney failure because most pet owners don't know what they're doing. Hence, why they make terrible pets for the average person.

This is why we have a big sweep broom outside our summer home in Florida. Fun to look at them, but don't want a wild one inside my house.
Probably just hungry and out enjoying the sun. Beautiful lil thing though id would've found away to bring it home lol
