  • We were proud to have raised some £10,000 for this community land purchase to turn grouse moor into nature reserve and so were keen to get an update this spring. The project were able earlier this year to complete the purchase of half of the moor with discussions continuing over the rest. Here is Stuart Spray's excellent short film with some of those involved telling their story.

    So pleased you made the target. I visited Langholm last week and was lucky enough to see Hen Harriers. Keep up the great work.

    I believe that the raptor population is down by near 60% since the project started

    All the red and black Grouse are gone. All the waders are basically gone. Crows and magpies about.
    Hardly any raptors there as no food.
    Disgrace.
