6:02 Float. Saving this for later :)
Favorite spell: Ice 3 on 4 enemies, pew-pew shimmy-shimmy shimmy-shimmy shimmy-shimmy chop-chop shimmy-shimmy chop-chop, chop-chop, chop-chop.
So satisfying!

"Wild Bear"
*ocean-floor raccoon appears with LASERS*
lol🙃
I wanna see an FF6 remake with 3D graphics. :-)
still waiting lol
Vanish is the best sound
YES!!
Thank you so much for the timestamps!!!
This is so cool, thank you. I've put in probably over 500 hours of game play on FF6 and there's still some items I've never gotten around to using, so it's cool seeing the animations.
Most of the time, I would usually use the following 10 Lore Spells the most often.
1: Pearl Wind
2: Step Mine
3: Quasar
4: Big Guard
5: Sour Mouth
6: Clean Sweep (Mostly on Enemies that are weak against Water)
7: Aero (Mostly on Enemies that are weak against Wind)
8: Revenge (If Strago’s current HP is low enough)
9: Level 4 Flare (If I remember which Enemies Levels are a multiple of 4 like any of the following: 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44)
10: L? Pearl (If I remember which Enemies Levels are a multiple of the last Digit in my current GP Count)
16:48 is probably the first example of a "kupo" sound!
I remember a few months after this game came out on the super Nintendo, a friend of mine let me borrow it. I remember one of the most distinctive things about this game was the sound it would make when you first used a black magic spell. still so distinctive.
Underrated video
I love how eyedrop looks
3:47 Flare makes such a good sound
So does meltdown
To this day, Life 2/Arise has the best sound effects ever for a life restoration spell in Final Fantasy, and in general.
+Flegan777
Life 2 is my favourite white magic spell.
@Laurelindo: Glad to hear.
Strago's Roulette. Killed me dead.
If you have the fire attributes on, Merton pretty much kills everything and heals you.
a very nice proper video of the best version of FF6.
Most of the time, I would usually use the following 10 Spells the most often.
1: Life 3
2: Life
3: Life 2
4: Rasp
5: Osmose
6: Remedy
7: Curaga
8: Reflect
9: Flare
10: Ultima
My top 3
1- Quasar
2- Shock
3- Diffuser
9:42 Justice by far has to be my favorite attack of them all
Seems pretty comprehensive, good work mate.
I know this is 10 years old but this is literally the only video on UA-cam that shows a showcase of everything like that in the ORIGINAL FF6. Otherwise I wouldn't comment but..... this is ALL there is right now.
SO all that said, you stopped every effect way too soon.
For example 9:05: Ok they just disappear and THEN WHAT FUCKING HAPPENS?
(Spoiler: it's basically the Dragoon Jump from other games but it would be fucking nice to SEE that in the video).
The fact that there isn't another FF6/3 video showcasing this stuff is ..... egregious, to say the least. I thought the internet had everything.
Anyone else actually pulled off any of the Desperation Attacks in a playthrough? I've experienced all of those playing the original US SNES release save those of Celes, Relm, Mog, Cyan and Setzer. Took me by surprised when I saw them. :O
I think I saw maybe 2, but I didn't realize one of them. Gogo's X-Meteor got used right after someone else cast normal meteor so I thought it was a goofy personal version of the spell he had.
I'm playing through a low-level game right now. I was battling Tunnelarmor and Celes just died and Locke was down to one health, I was like great, I'm going to have to over, when suddenly Locke did his desperation attack. I was so surprised. I've only seen a few myself.
Tank build Mog + Sun Bath is OP.
Hulkodon The Final Fantasy Wiki probably has all the monsters for Gau, as well as pretty much anything else you want to know.
My only complaint for this video is that it would've been a neat touch if you had Terra and Celes use their respective spells they learn naturally. Otherwise this video's great. Thanks for making it.
for the final fight I just spammed quick and ultima, he could not even use one attack...
For some reason, I just love the sound Demi and Quartr make in this version of the game.
Gogo's desperation attack just makes me further believe he was Gogo from FF5.
Lol Setzer was the original "Cait Sith" with that "all party members dead attack"
I love the classic sound effect rather than the new one!
I swear Bio in this game sounded a bit like car horns. XD
Wait ✋️.... how do you teach GAU general LEO'S SHOCK attack 😳, am I missing something or the wrong version!! I have the SNES version. Can someone explain?
I never noticed the Safe spell makes a kind of swastika shape. Kinda like Paralyze in Earthbound.
Son of Tiamat Except it's the Bhuddist symbol called a Manji.
17:31
"Kitty"
*meercat pops out*
o_o
Tip: Before using Merton (Meltdown in GBA), equip Flame Shields on everyone.
You are amazing (:
Quasar!
Thank you for the amazing amount of work this must have taken to get each one. How do you get their limit breaks to come up though?
Thank you! As for the limit breaks, any time a character is at low health (1/8 or less of their max HP), they have a 1-in-16 chance of performing their limit break when they use the Fight command.
4:50 Merton
Nice video...
but what about Relm??????? 😞
Ice2 coolest spell ever
What's the name of that demon who performs Chaos Wing? (Or Chaos "Wave" for those who played the GB Advance version of the game)
Maduin
How did you use magitek outside of armor?
I wonder the same
@@jacobrhythmicdragon rage jump magitek. or lore.
Hacking
You have to kill the eight legendary dragons in the World of Ruin to receive it. I'm sure there's a walkthrough on GameFAQs you could use.
I've defeated all 8 dragons how do you use them
Very nice! I think you missed General Leo's Shock ability.
How did get Shock for Gau?
Yojimbo I think
By using Retainer's Rage
2.01 baby angels! XD
In Sci fi!
Mumumumumumahou!?
While I love Final Fantasy VI, was i the only one who felt that game had too many spells?
Impossible. ✨
Should have used Suplex on the train :P
how do you get charm rage for gau
In the World of Ruin, when going to Owzer's house in Jidoor, in the initial room, examine the painting with the flowers. Then you will face 3 Rafflesians. Defeat them and then make Leap in the Veldt when you encounter the Rafflesians (or if you already made Gau Leap, he will back at the end of the battle with them)
where do i get the crusader esper? please tell me D: i cant find it!
defeat all 8 legend dragons, u prob know, its been 6 years after all, but still i want to give u the answer

You can only do this in SNES. A glitch was inserted in all other further releases in order to avoid instant KO in vanished enemies.
I just wanna know how to cast spells on all enemies at once :’)
Select and R do the same thing. :)
How to make Gau use the magics ? He never use them....
+Nintendo DS
He should use the magic spells if you let him keep using a Rage for a while.
Try out ChickenLip for example, that attack seems to throw quake spells pretty often - it does hit your own characters as well, but you can take advantage of that by equipping everyone with quake-absorbing Gaia Gears. =P
Just use Golem if you are afraid of taking damage.
Add Wall Rings to that, and you are almost invincible.
Is this played on an emulator? If it is... Which one?
ZSNES
Hm... it the sound quality as If it's on an original console? Does sound like it
@@pikachu-uk1bg Yeah emulators seem to change some sound effects
@@mikedimples i see. I think I could even hear a few different filters here and there on the sound. I do wonder which would be the closest to original sound and doesn't have visual glitches with summons or the like
Fira; Fire 2; is Souleater.🌠🇲🇾🔥🇨🇳🔥🧙📜
I am looking for an all creature guide for Gau, where I can get them to spawn and what rages they teach and how effective they are. I never got every spell learnt for him, I think I was missing only 12 or so but I have no idea what I missed.
What's the name of the music?
Wild West, aka the Veldt

Good vid. Love how every status effect is complete trash and useless in this game like all the others, but whatever. Still a masterpiece.
Seems like only FF8 got status effects right.
