Thank you very much for your work on this! I started a new job too and it’s been fun listening in to see what happens next while I design. I hope you have a great day!
I never finished reading Harriet the Spy when I was younger... as with all recommendations I get, I promise to read the book and consider making an audiobook of it.
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this! I never read as much as I'd like, so I especially enjoy audiobooks. And this was really a joy. If you're ever looking for more books to record, I'd recommend "Alex and the Ironic Gentleman" a quirky adventure book that I loved growing up, and still do tbh, and the books of "The Wingfeather Saga" also fantastic. Don't feel at all obligated though, I'm just throwing out ideas. I look forward to any future content.
Thanks for the recommendation, though Alex and the Ironic Gentleman is one audiobook I'll never do, as it was also a favorite of mine growing up, and the audiobook version that already exists is perfection itself. I'll look into 'The Wingfeather Saga'. I'm always open to new suggestions.
@@outisaudio5838 I will say though, the Wingfeather Saga does already have audiobooks, but I've not been able to listen to them, so I'm not sure how good they are. It's also a rather lengthy series, so it might not be ideal. Still, I recommend it purely as a great read.
I haven't been able to enjoy a book since high school killed all enjoyment for me, but I found myself really enjoying listening to your voice through your blue sky audiobooks. I loved your narration and so I thought I'd give this audiobook a try too and getting to the end just now, you have single handedly rekindled my interest in reading! So thank you sincerely for sharing these online :) Also upon googling the book I was shocked to discover their names were "Lina and Doon" and not "Leena and Dune" as they were spelt in my head this whole time 😅
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy them, to be honest it should probably be pronounced 'Lie-na', not 'Lee-na', I started the book that way (I think in chapter 2 I slipped up one time that made it to the final video), but googled it and Google said it's pronounced 'lee-na', and so I changed it. In the middle of the book Poppy then says Lina's name as 'Wy-nah', which made me groan aloud, realizing DuPrau intended it to be 'Lie-na' all along... I'm committed by this point now though lol. Enjoy your reading, whether audiobook or otherwise! I struggle to read books too; with all the technology we have it's tough to force yourself to read something that doesn't flash pretty colors at you constantly. Best of luck.
Thanks for making these! This was a wonderful listen! I wish I had read this as a kid, I would have loved it back then too! Any chance you'll read through any of its sequels as well? I feel fairly invested in this world now 😀
@@outisaudio5838 huh, that's a shame. I thought the ending was really intriguing, though I don't know if the series goes into any more detail about the world or not
There are two sequels after and one prequel with almost no relation to the other three. The first is the best by a long shot, but I may do the others in time.
@@outisaudio5838 Yeah, I decided to buy the books myself. Still haven't gotten round to reading them though. I'll be looking forward to your reading of them though if you do them.
You're welcome! Seeing as how you're not the first to ask that, and how Ember was more popular than I expected, I don't think I have any choice. Once I finish Overlord 1, I will record The People of Sparks.

@@outisaudio5838 I never knew there was already an audiobook version of Alex and the Ironic Gentleman! I'll have to check that out...
It's this one, I really can't recommend it enough.

Thank you. I'm considering it; in my opinion the first book is by far the best, to the extent that the sequels might not be worth the trouble.
