I have a small jar with all kinds of pins and assorted gold pieces. I don’t know about the newer phones but the old ones are full of gold. Enjoy your videos. I take apart anything that’s recyclable. Have a small apartment so full scale is not an option.🐎🌻✌️
This is great info. I have to scrap a bunch of pro satellite receivers and I bet there is a bunch in them. Well, I hope there is. It will be fun, either way.
I have seen some scrappers heating the solder so the pins fall out, uses electricity so not something i do. Another option though. Great informative video 👍
Multiply weight by .01 for CPU(if it is the kind that has gold) or by .001 for plated. I would guess your 3.25 ounces have about $6.27 in gold? It could be more or less. Gold can be extremely thin and still maintain electronic properties and look gold.
You should Definitely look at the CPU's that don't have the pins and have the flat surface, those ones are newer, and the one you held up to the camera looked like an i5 which is like you said about $100
@@TinManScrapper Awesome let me know if ya find anything good! I would just look the model up on Google, you'll usually see an eBay listing, or an auction site. Also, check prices on all audio equipment, that goes for stupid money, I've found some old digitech equipment by the side of the road
You keep saying wear your safety glasses, but you shouldn't be doing this inside. The dust that comes off the boards is harmful. You need to do that in a well ventilated area, or outside. Also you should wear some thick gloves so your hands don't get cut up.
Very good information and tips. I've been scrapping for awhile now and hate the amount of money I've thrown away from stuff like that.

Those first chips are gold corner BGAs not IC chips. Thanks for the tips on pulling pins, I've a pile of them and haven't started.
They call them IC chips on golden money.com. I think it may depend on where you sell or if you are a computer tech.
@@TinManScrapper No, there BGAs. IC chip are the ones that are rectangle shape. sorry

Yeah, I have a bunch of those. Way better price.
@@TinManScrapper if you find a really old laptop, and it's not working, look up the model, Toshiba Satellite's are worth crazy money.
@@jensen365 thanks for the tip, just found several laptops….going to have to now look.

CPUs sell good for resale as well..
Where's the best place to sell all this stuff in United States?
Board Sort in Ohio. They have a website that tells you what they pay for what and how to send it to them.
Research who every your going to deal with some scrap guys on Y.T. Have gotten shafted by companies you least expect
Green board goes for $1.50 a pound. 15 cents for brown board

I don’t cut the boards inside, I do those in the garage.
How you know it's gold pin? It can be copper or brass pin.
You can tell they are gold from where you find them. Computer tower circuit boards have them due to their conductivity
