Lore: After Manipulation, somehow a half-corrupted Pencil killed Bubble, causing the rope to fall into the hole. While Flower fastly fell to the ground, so did Ruby except Leafy. Which caused both of the girls to have some injuries. Soon, they proceeded to find our blob boi, Gelatin. But the downside is that he was getting corrupted, so he screamed. Little did Flower and Ruby know, they're too late to save him... But not for long as three certain contestants (2 are corrupted, 1 survives) showed up and there is a sparkle of hope for Gelatin to be saved...
Gelatin seems to be a new vessel of the corrupted. He is the only one seen to be crying uncontrollably during when barf bag and donut showed up (donut does this too, but he is slightly more damaged then gelatin.) He also manages to break free easier then others.. He seems like he has the most control out of the three infected. He is the only one to grow his own limbs to it’s limits.

The reason people are getting consciousness is because the corruption is focusing its power on corrupting the person fighting it, and weakens its grip on the host. That's why in nearly all of these new concepts, the person gains control after singing beings. (Think when Pencils hand became a claw and she snapped back partly)
So basically the Darkness plays along with the whole singing thing,not knowing that focusing the victim to sing only makes the conciousness of said victim awaken even for a slight second,maybe even awakening them from the Darkness at times

I was thinking since there's still more room to fall, flower caught the edge and ruby held on to flower but leafy got unlucky and missed ruby and fell deeper in.

I just realized, all the characters that ended up surviving: bubble, gelatin, teardrop, flower, lolipop etc. They all were in postsplit , and they are the only characters we have SEEN be uncorupted(Pencil and match don't count, they could still be corrupted)
Prediction of next song/location : the team of 4 now flee from an angry corrupted barf bag and donut, they manage to find their way to golfball’s factory were they meet a familiar face. (A song with golfball, tennis ball, and speaker box.
