Sneaking up on 30 years since Skip appeared on the scene. AND, people are still listening to him and still lovin' it. I wonder how many of the so called stars will be able to say that when their time comes. He's a real artist and feels his work. Reminds me of Hank Williams Sr. He wrote and sang his own music, and you can still hear it being played/sang after all these years. That's the mark of a true star. Skip, you keep on making 'em and we will keep on listenin'.
Skip Ewing is a very talented artist with an amazing voice. I don't understand why he doesn't have any new stuff out. He should have made it to the big time !
This song has tones that echo ones in Christmas Carol. In that frame of hearing, I hear the strains of The Dirt Band. Colorado Christmas is one of my favorite songs. These two performers make my ears switch back and forth between them. I love them both.
Loved seeing him in Uvalde Texas at The Purple Sage can pic too! Hope you see this. I think , I guess some great talents like you just don't care to be on the road all the time. Going to Nashville and seeing you at a small relaxed venue is on my bucket list!
Ok it appears this is from a 1980's appearance on "Austin City Limits". I've asked Skip's staff is that show is available. They say it is not. So, where did this incredible tape come from?

Skip is a super talent. Deserves far more recognition than he has received. As a singer and songwriter.
kids, this is one of the most talented singer/songwriter out there.
Coast of Colorado one of the best albums ever produced out of Nashville and totally under appreciated
I loved this one the first time I ever heard it!! I’ve had your cassette tapes for years!!! You write such beautiful songs!
I believe Skip is probably the best writer/performer of the century!

Skip just shows that not all really good country singers are not high on the charts. Some of the current popular singers could learn a lot from him.
Edna Whitehurst i agree totally
Love his chord progressions. Would like to see recent videos with his beard. Does he still perform?
Country decided to go pop after the death of Keith Whitley that was a big part of why Skip didn't make it big.
