Ridiculous. How about the parents taking responsibility for their own children.

"Parents should receive an email saying that their child signed up for a social media platform" so this is telling me that 1. You're not monitoring your children 2. You want these social media companies to have everyone's data because otherwise how else are they going to do it. They would need your name, your email, your child's information such as their name, email, phone number and age. That sounds like a recipe for disaster especially if there's a data breach. The lack of accountability for being a parent astonishes me.

1:00 - "Parents should receive an email saying that their child signed up for a social media platform"
How about parents don't give their child unsupervised internet access.
It would be way harder to do what this guy is suggesting, compared to parents just not allowing their child to be there in the first place.

Social media isn't even social anymore, it's pure hypnotical. I like that mindfulness book called 30 Days Without Social Media by Harper Daniels.

Social Media was just picking up speed when I was in Middle to High School, and I made sure to avoid those platforms because they all felt iffy to me.
I cannot imagine how bad Gen Alpha and younger-Z has it.
