I used to sun bathe on clifton hall with my mates, and spent many night fishiing at colenel cliftons pond, could say so much more, great memories! Now 68 living in spain, great video, thanks "clifton gels"❤
My ancestors were the Clifton family. My maiden surname is Clifton. I live in America and have directly traced my Clifton family as far back as the Clifton family can be traced. I had a friend, a bookseller, who lived in Nottingham and who has since died, and in past years he helped me to be able to purchase photographs of Clifton Hall and books about my ancestors. One thing I have always wanted to do is to go on a walk through Clifton Grove and Clifton Woods and see all of the botanicals there, along with the river Trent. You two took me there with this video. Thank you for making this happen for me! ~ Jeannie Clifton-Laster
We didn't get a notification for this, luckly Kat spotted it whilst double checking 🧐👍❤ Beautiful area, with such an interesting history 🤓 🥰 such a variety of woodland ponds, weirs and greenspaces! We love it, smashing video, very lucky indeed. Have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 ⛰
Bloody UA-cam notifications are useless. They don't always notify us either and we only end up seeing the video when we go on the UA-cam app. Yes this area is lovely area, lots of green spaces, we're lucky to be so close. Keep your eyes peeled for more doorstep delights, thanks as always for watching 😊❤️😊👍
Great channel guys. Fantastic content. I'm a a Clifton lad and loved the Clifton video. I'll be sure to watch them all. Perfect balance of chat and music. Very calming and relaxing.
Hi, thanks for watching and we're glad you enjoyed it. This is a very lovely part of Clifton which we're very lucky to have. Hope you enjoy our other videos.
Springtime Bluebells, simply lovely. I really need to explore Notts a bit more considering I’m here most weeks. It’s good to see you’ve got lots of beautiful green spaces near by. ☺️
If you ever have time in the evening whilst it's still light when you're in Notts please let us know and we can show you around this part if you want. See you soon 😊
Hello I’m here on recommendation from the solitary rambler 👋 lovely film thank you it’s an area I’ve been to a lot it always looks so different at different times of year……keep walking ! X
Hello Jo, welcome to our channel. Yes it always looks different throughout the year doesn't it? Do you live local then? The woods are especially beautiful in Spring, Autumn and the snow. Thanks for watching
Great episode lots of historical facts - didn't know ice houses were a thing, oh to imagine having a house that needed an "ice house" aka massive freezer!! 😂 loving the "door step delights" looking forward to the Beeston episode 👍😅 sounds like you both have some hidden gems stacked up your sleeve looking forward to the rest ☺️ Xx
Nice to see more of your local stomping ground. Not an area I know at all, but you've definitely got a lot of doorstep delights to see! 😀 That Weir looks massive! Really impressive too. The Ice House was interesting too. Great video as always! 😀👍
The ice house is definitely interesting, just a shame about the graffiti, grrrr. We're lucky to have this around us and there's so many other places we can get to nearby which are beautiful too 😊
That is a nice walk and close for you too. I know the trent well. It's a tidal river and very wide. I go to eat at a place in Gainsborough and the trent runs alongside it. There's also a country path. Be nice to see your walk at Beeston. Cheers ladies 😁
In 50 years I've only been back home in Clifton 6 times i miss it so much
