- Jason Barnett has taken the reins from his parents and is now running Royal Rib House, a beloved BBQ mainstay in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn that’s been serving up the best ribs since Jason’s Grandpa Calvin opened the restaurant in the 60s. Staying true to Grandpa Calvin’s original recipes, Jason and his parents offer slow-cooked rotisserie chicken, chopped pork and chicken, and their specialty rotisserie pork ribs with Calvin’s Secret Sauce which have kept customers coming back for decades.

I’ve eaten here on a visit to the city. The food is great, especially the fried chicken and peach cobbler!
My dad used to take me and my brother to the 303 Halsey Street location back in the 90s when the father used to be front of the house boy do I really miss this place currently living in Florida and there's no place like it like it at all down here . Hopefully when I get the chance to go back up I'm definitely stopping there to get that shot barbecue like I used to!!
Greetings Brother👋🏾👋🏾!!!! I was looking for you. Lol!!!!! 💯% facts told here people! As a kid, I didn't even like greens but I would enjoy their greens when our Pops got it from here. That's how good their food is. Don't get me started on the Ribs, MacNCheese & Yams. It is something I truly miss. If you ever plan on taking a trip to NYC, do yourself a favor and stop in Brooklyn for some of this great food.

Being from the South, I’ve never had ribs that weren’t smoked. Their marinade and sauce must be the bomb.

This video is very interesting in that in Hawaii the Hawaiian people don't know southern food but it wasn't until I went into the Army that I learned southern food a lot but from southern people off base in Agusta Georgia from there mama, and even now I won't go to a southern restaurant in Harlem off 125th street 6th Ave but I have gone to delis in the area and it is very extensive and not expensive very reasonable as I used to live in the area and very quiet but in the 80s it was very different and it's 2024 times have changed back then there was drugs but many places have closed now because it's low income but now I have no reason to go and see anything because it doesn't interest me rather see something else but I aware of things and I am not afraid to compare recipes and prices but that was 40 years ago
