Great review. Thank you. Xero shoes, I would love to purchase a goretex version (or equivalent) of these if possible.
Everything we have is available on our site, but we'll pass your feedback along to our design team.
It definitely needs gortex, I have a pair, very light use, the mesh is already rubbing away on the sma toe area, no major abrasion. Very disappointed as they are otherwise almost the perfect shoe.
No, no, no! Please do *not* ruin these by putting in a layer of sweaty goretex! @@xeroshoes
Thanks for the honest review, I needed this information. I ordered the shoes despite the lack of waterproofing, but would love to see it upgraded. It seems to be the missing ingredient in barefoot shoes.
We are glad that you found this review helpful! We offer a few waterproof hiking/trail styles like our Xcursion Fusion and our new Mesa Trail WP, so those may be worth looking at as well. We hope you enjoy your Scrambler Mids and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact our support team at support@xeroshoes.com.
And now there is a waterproof version 😅
@@robertsoliz6821 yes! I’m loving my current set.
vivo also use michelin soles for their outdoorsiest stuff. i tend to prefer the fit of xero, they're less fashion conscious
Function is greater than fashion.
How's the cushion? Thanks! Great review.
All of our shoes and sandals are designed to allow the foot to move, bend and flex naturally. This means that there is no arch support, minimal if any cushioning and wider than average forefoot to allow for toe splay.
Our main concept is to allow you to move naturally, as if you were barefoot, but with protection!
That said, our Scrambler Mid will have a built in layer of TrailFoam for a little bit of extra comfort and protection.
Put the shoes in a bathtub or sink, and let the water rise. Stuff the shoes with paper towels. Let the water rise up. Periodically check the paper towels to see at what point they get wet.
how much is the thickness of the soles?
The total stack height of the Scrambler Mid will be 7mm.
@@xeroshoes which one have wider toe box this or the daylight hiker fusion?
While the two will be similar, the Scrambler Mid will have a little bit wider toe box based on customer feedback.
Looks like they will break with any legitimate use.
All of our shoes will have highly abrasion resistant soles that we back with our 5,000 Mile Warranty, so we expect them to last a very long time no matter how they are used. The Scrambler Mid will use a Michelin sole inspired by Michelin’s high-performance mountain bike tires.
I ordered a pair today.
I was skeptical, but after wearing the prio suede shoes I ordered, I feel confident in the durability of the scramblers.
How does the 5000 mile warranty work?
Is there a built in step counter?
Do you take the customers word, or is it like a 1-year warranty?
For our 5,000 Mile Sole Warranty, we would have the customer send in pictures of their sole to our support team and if they are worn down to 1mm or less (typically there will be a hole in the sole), then we would help replace them under our warranty. If you are unsure at any point whether or not your shoes may qualify, don't hesitate to contact our support team and they can let you know.
