It's really strange, because in the past, he's actually been able to have his characters have morally good qualities or at least learn to have them while still being funny. Recently however, they all feel like modern day Family Guy characters: No redeeming qualities, while trying to be funny (and failing miserably)

This video really had me conflicted as far as which side I was on, I like seeing Jeffy get punished seeing as how it almost never happens but at the same time Mario was being unfair and tried to cheat his way to victory, so I honestly had no idea who I was supposed to root for in this video

4.5 - 10 Here’s the problem. Logan decided to make Mario into a doormat, who’s also super cocky and prideful. Especially when he wanted Jeffy to lose. And the ending was just ehhh....I mean 50% Mario didn’t deserve it, but 50% he did. And the fact that it ended abruptly, with the fact that Bowser just existed just for “Oh, ThE bAtTeRiEs ArE dEaD. hItS tHe ReMoTe”, and when the plot doesn’t need him, he stops existing. Also, MORE garbage SJL merch....Wonderful. Also, did anyone else also notice how Lovell voiced Bully Bill? To me, that feels like they cut Chris out of the cast. I know they OBVIOUSLY didn’t, but that’s what that feels like. Anyways, for a video titled “Jeffy’s ‘Punishment’”, it sure as hell didn’t feel like he got any punishment. Kinda like The Nanny, but worse.

I mean to be fair while mario did (Kinda) deserved the shock at the end, jeffy wasn't any better, in fact if jeffy shocks mario for every green bean he ate, then should't mario shock jeffy for every plate he broke, i mean just saying. but overall the episode was okay.
It's still terrible writing. The video started with Jeffy non-remorsely making a mess, then Mario gives a taste of what he deserves this whole time. But then they decide to make Mario the bad guy, suddenly dropping his good parenthood in favor of brief pleasure. Then it's Bowser causing the problem at school, and THAT's what makes Jeffy get back at him NOT the bed wetting. Not to mention there were some painfully obvious plugs, so is this really an "ok" video?
The reason why I (and probably others) didn’t like the ending is because Mario got shocked for something he didn’t do which was Bowsers fault. I also didn’t like how Mario tried to rigged the bet… but I don’t think he deserved many shocks because of it. Idk just my opinion.
This episode could've been better if the plot went like this: Begin the episode the same way, but have Jeffy be a bit more mean then usual, he should not only destroying every dish on the table, but curse at Chef Pee Pee for ruining his magic trick, and ruining dinner and burning the kitchen. This would make the video's punishment feel a bit more justified, because his actions were much more harmful than usual. Then, give Jeffy the shock collar, But once Mario tells him that he's going to shock him every time he does something bad, Jeffy doesn't believe him, thinking that he's just trying to scare him. He then continues to do the same old stuff he always does for the rest of the evening: throwing green beans, making a big mess in the bathroom, and wetting the bed, in which Mario shocks Jeffy after each of these errors Jeffy realizes after this that he's being serious and he needs to behave, so he makes the same bet with Mario before going to bed. The next morning, Mario, enjoying Jeffy's pain, trying to shock Jeffy at every moment he can. He does this by pointing out very minuscule errors (such as not closing a cupboard or chewing with his mouth open) and trying to shock him for them, but Jeffy points out that those things are not shock-worthy, but Mario shockes him anyway, and Jeffy should clearly be seen in pain. And this is the part of the video where Mario becomes the villain. Jeffy goes to school, and tries to shock Jeffy whenever he can. Once he gets back home, Mario lies about shocking him, and Mario gets his proper punishment.
This video was just really... frustrating to watch. I don't think Logan knows that watching a dad and son yell at each other isn't really entertaining. 4/10
Perry the Platypus the main SML Trio Junior, Joseph, and Cody resemble quite a bit to the South Park Gang like Junior acts a bit like Cartman with his whining, spoiled brat behavior, and making fun of someone’s Mom. Joseph is basically Kenny like you said with him constantly dying and no one remembering his death, and being poor but at least he has parents but Joseph on the other hand lost everything. Cody is like Kyle both are Jewish and always the voice of reason when someone’s doing wrong
7.5/10 + The jokes were fairly funny to me at least + Mario learned his lesson at the end, hopefully teaching him how much of an awful parent he is - Some repeated jokes were a bit eye rolling + The plot was somewhat creative but could’ve been a bit more This honestly was a decent video for the most part, nothing really special or horrible

I knew from the second I saw the title and thumbnail that Logan didn't have the guts to actually have Jeffy lose or learn a lesson here and I was disappointingly right. Also the way they made Mario the "bad guy" was the most forced and contrived plot point I have ever seen in anything. So people saying Mario got what he deserved are wrong and need to stop, please. First off: this shouldn't have been a video about Mario making a bet with Jeffy and being a scared little wuss, trying to find a way to sabotage Jeffy. I feel like Mario shouldn't do something like that if he wants to set an example for Jeffy. The video should've been about Jeffy doing bad things, getting shocked, trying to find a way to remove the collar, failing and getting shocked, then finally learning a lesson. But nope, that would piss off the majority of Logan's channel and we can't have Jeffy get what's coming to him without Jeffy some how coming out on top, no sir.
Yeah, compared to the Junior videos where he sometimes gets comeuppance for his actions, Jeffy almost never gets gets what's coming to him, despite how much he screws up.
Not to mention, when poopy butt first came in the scene, the first thing Jeffy said was to put the shock collar on Mario. Yet all Mario was doing was looking at the dog during the moment. 7/10. I'm Sorry Guys I Think Mario Deserved The Shocking At The End. I Think It Was BIT Overboard, But Still Mario Was VERY Obnoxious Throughout The Video In My Opinion. Jeffy Kinda Deserved His Punishment, But I'm Not Gonna Lie Mario Cheating Pissed Me Off More. But, The Greatest Weakness In My Opinion, Is The Fact That I Only Laughed 3 Times. When Jeffy Said He Didn't Say The F Word, When Jeffy Said Gimme A 30 Minute Head Start, And When Harry Threw His Snacks At Jeffy. Even Then They Were Very Minor Chuckles. I know you could save your Jeffy deserved it but I don't understand why so many people are upset about Mario got something that he technically deserves technically because it's kind of Bowser's fault but at the end of the day Mario really started sabotage Jeffy and he pretty much just doing this as a big setup so at the end of the day at least Jeffy got back at Mario for trying to sabotage him cuz he pretty much did try to sabotage him where he tried to pull water on his bed to make it look like he peed the bed so that's pretty much why Mario got consequences at the end of the video because he was shocked back
Ok. This is probably my favorite Jeffy video. It was friggen hilarious all the way through, Mario and Jeffy (aside from the whole Bowser thing) both deserved the shockings, and it had a great premise to top it all off. The plug for the backpack was too minor for me to count it as a downright negative. However, there was one thing that really bothered me: the _sí papi_ moment. It was unfunny and predictable. Other than that, a spectacular Jeffy video. 9.8/10
5:35 - 5:40 Fun fact: the song that Jeffy was singing in a poor attempt to be funny is a 14 year old song written by Usher, called "Yeah!". I don't blame you for not getting the reference, though. I'm surprised that this episode didn't get demonetized because of that. So, not only was it not funny, but it's a reference that kids of this era will not get.
While I like modern SML's Junior as much as the next guy, I can totally relate to Jeffy. I mean, he didnt know that Bowser's stupidity was causing him to lose the bet, so he blamed Mario for it, which is also relatable considering Mario tried to frame Jeffy of wetting the bed and feeding Jeffy green beans to lose the bet. And Bowser did nothing but look for the TV remote. I am not that big of a Jeffy fanboy, but I can totally relate to Jeffy's confusion and payback.
Due to the pandemic, SML films have tanked in quality. The same boring scenarios and plot devices have been lazily copy pasted, and little to almost none of the jokes have landed. With or without Chris, the SML Crew is still very restricted on where they can film videos, thus making the settings feel boring and repetitive.
This video would’ve been so much better if Bowser came in and said “Oh, there’s the remote, I kept pressing that broken one” and then Mario just looks at Jeffy for a couple seconds, THEN end the video.
You do acknowledge the sole reason why he gets away doing the shit he does is because the child audience wanna envision themselves as him doing these bad things...right? It's pretty stupid imo.

To me i thought this was gonna be like “Jeffy's Bad Word 2” or “Jeffy's Tantrum 2” but it went really differently than i thought (which is a good thing).
This video was actually kinda decent in my opinion. I didn't find Jeffy as annoying in this compared to other videos. I think him being electrocuted help though. It was also the first time I've been able to get through an entire SML video without pausing or having it play in the background. 5/10

But Mario gets the moral high ground because he gets tortured. There are many times Mario is a hypocrite but everyone always chooses his side because he suffers from all the characters. I mean I personally don't like Jeffy because his jokes are kinda stale. But just because Jeffy is a brat doesn't mean Mario is a perfect character by comparison. My favourite character is Junior, but even though he is my favourite doesn't mean I don't acknowledge his flaws and bad behavior. None of the characters are perfect.
Keep in mind that even if Mario didn't try to cheat, he would have still got the shock collar on him anyways. That was the bet. So it doesn't really matter when Mario would have still got shocked either way. That can be considered Mario torture and it shouldn't have worked that way
5.8/10: Another meh episode, and an excuse for Logan’s mess fetish again. The shock collar as a concept seems actually decent but it had potential. Mario trying to get Jeffy in trouble so he can not get shocked is ok. The classroom scene was a bit funny with Jackie Chu. Jokes were alright but I would tone down the “Si Papi” joke in the future. Ending is a bit conflicted, on one hand, Mario does deserve it and saw it coming but it was a bit excessive and overstayed its welcome. So yeah, I do see it as a bit cruel honestly. Overall, it was another meh episode, pretty ok and the ending is pretty mixed but I stand by my opinion. 5.8/10.

Nope. Even if Mario didn't cheat he would have still had to get shocked. How is that any fair? Mario cheating was justified because there was no valid reason for him to get shocked to begin with. 12:24 I kinda had an idea with Keffy and Bully Bill in this scene. Instead of Jackie chu silencing the class, it'd be normal. However, Bill would bully Jeffy as usual, but Instead of throwing hands, Jeffy would make a deal with Bill. Knowing how much he likes to cause pain, Jeffy would invite him over to his house to shock mario after he won the bet, in exchange for 1 day of no bullying.
Unrelated to this video, but I figured out how to become popular on youtube. Step 1: Play games. Step 2: Suck at games. Step 3: Yell a lot. Step 4: Swear non stop. Step 5: Make memorable jokes that aren't cringy. Step 6: Use facecam. Step 7: Rinse and repeat.
REVIEW TIME: Jeffy's Punishment. Story: This video had an intresting plot to it. I liked how the video were based Jeffy and Mario bet which was enjoyable, some dragged on a bit. I mean to be fair while mario did (Kinda) deserved the shock at the end, jeffy wasn't any better, in fact if jeffy shocks mario for every green bean he ate, then should't mario shock jeffy for every plate he broke, i mean just saying. but overall the episode was okay.
It's still terrible writing. The video started with Jeffy non-remorsely making a mess, then Mario gives a taste of what he deserves this whole time. But then they decide to make Mario the bad guy, suddenly dropping his good parenthood in favor of brief pleasure. Then it's Bowser causing the problem at school, and THAT's what makes Jeffy get back at him NOT the bed wetting. Not to mention there were some painfully obvious plugs, so is this really an "ok" video?

The reason why I (and probably others) didn’t like the ending is because Mario got shocked for something he didn’t do which was Bowsers fault. I also didn’t like how Mario tried to rigged the bet… but I don’t think he deserved many shocks because of it. Idk just my opinion.
This episode could've been better if the plot went like this:
Begin the episode the same way, but have Jeffy be a bit more mean then usual, he should not only destroying every dish on the table, but curse at Chef Pee Pee for ruining his magic trick, and ruining dinner and burning the kitchen. This would make the video's punishment feel a bit more justified, because his actions were much more harmful than usual.
Then, give Jeffy the shock collar, But once Mario tells him that he's going to shock him every time he does something bad, Jeffy doesn't believe him, thinking that he's just trying to scare him.
He then continues to do the same old stuff he always does for the rest of the evening: throwing green beans, making a big mess in the bathroom, and wetting the bed, in which Mario shocks Jeffy after each of these errors
Jeffy realizes after this that he's being serious and he needs to behave, so he makes the same bet with Mario before going to bed.
The next morning, Mario, enjoying Jeffy's pain, trying to shock Jeffy at every moment he can. He does this by pointing out very minuscule errors (such as not closing a cupboard or chewing with his mouth open) and trying to shock him for them, but Jeffy points out that those things are not shock-worthy, but Mario shockes him anyway, and Jeffy should clearly be seen in pain.
And this is the part of the video where Mario becomes the villain. Jeffy goes to school, and tries to shock Jeffy whenever he can.
Once he gets back home, Mario lies about shocking him, and Mario gets his proper punishment.
This video was just really... frustrating to watch. I don't think Logan knows that watching a dad and son yell at each other isn't really entertaining. 4/10

Joseph is basically Kenny like you said with him constantly dying and no one remembering his death, and being poor but at least he has parents but Joseph on the other hand lost everything. Cody is like Kyle both are Jewish and always the voice of reason when someone’s doing wrong

I knew from the second I saw the title and thumbnail that Logan didn't have the guts to actually have Jeffy lose or learn a lesson here and I was disappointingly right.

First off: this shouldn't have been a video about Mario making a bet with Jeffy and being a scared little wuss, trying to find a way to sabotage Jeffy. I feel like Mario shouldn't do something like that if he wants to set an example for Jeffy.
The video should've been about Jeffy doing bad things, getting shocked, trying to find a way to remove the collar, failing and getting shocked, then finally learning a lesson. But nope, that would piss off the majority of Logan's channel and we can't have Jeffy get what's coming to him without Jeffy some how coming out on top, no sir.
Yeah, compared to the Junior videos where he sometimes gets comeuppance for his actions, Jeffy almost never gets gets what's coming to him, despite how much he screws up.
Not to mention, when poopy butt first came in the scene, the first thing Jeffy said was to put the shock collar on Mario. Yet all Mario was doing was looking at the dog during the moment. That bet really shouldn't have been made considering Mario's reason for wanting to shock Jeffy is valid. So yes, the ending can be considered Mario torture.
Jeffy getting shocked was like Logan answering our prayers for jeffy to finally get punished for something but that was all ruined when jeffy decided to shock Mario which ruined the whole video

I know you could save your Jeffy deserved it but I don't understand why so many people are upset about Mario got something that he technically deserves technically because it's kind of Bowser's fault but at the end of the day Mario really started sabotage Jeffy and he pretty much just doing this as a big setup so at the end of the day at least Jeffy got back at Mario for trying to sabotage him cuz he pretty much did try to sabotage him where he tried to pull water on his bed to make it look like he peed the bed so that's pretty much why Mario got consequences at the end of the video because he was shocked back
Ok. This is probably my favorite Jeffy video. It was friggen hilarious all the way through, Mario and Jeffy (aside from the whole Bowser thing) both deserved the shockings, and it had a great premise to top it all off. The plug for the backpack was too minor for me to count it as a downright negative. However, there was one thing that really bothered me: the _sí papi_ moment. It was unfunny and predictable. Other than that, a spectacular Jeffy video. 9.8/10

While I like modern SML's Junior as much as the next guy, I can totally relate to Jeffy. I mean, he didnt know that Bowser's stupidity was causing him to lose the bet, so he blamed Mario for it, which is also relatable considering Mario tried to frame Jeffy of wetting the bed and feeding Jeffy green beans to lose the bet. And Bowser did nothing but look for the TV remote.
I am not that big of a Jeffy fanboy, but I can totally relate to Jeffy's confusion and payback.

Due to the pandemic, SML films have tanked in quality. The same boring scenarios and plot devices have been lazily copy pasted, and little to almost none of the jokes have landed. With or without Chris, the SML Crew is still very restricted on where they can film videos, thus making the settings feel boring and repetitive.

Actually really good. Jeffy got punished for once, the shock collar plot was original, and once again, no overused jokes (there were some bad ones but didn’t drag on too long) My only minor complaint is the ending which can be seen as deserved for Mario but was a bit much for trying to avoid a bet. 8/10

But Mario gets the moral high ground because he gets tortured. There are many times Mario is a hypocrite but everyone always chooses his side because he suffers from all the characters. I mean I personally don't like Jeffy because his jokes are kinda stale. But just because Jeffy is a brat doesn't mean Mario is a perfect character by comparison. My favourite character is Junior, but even though he is my favourite doesn't mean I don't acknowledge his flaws and bad behavior. None of the characters are perfect.
Keep in mind that even if Mario didn't try to cheat, he would have still got the shock collar on him anyways. That was the bet. So it doesn't really matter when Mario would have still got shocked either way. That can be considered Mario torture and it shouldn't have worked that way

Another meh episode, and an excuse for Logan’s mess fetish again. The shock collar as a concept seems actually decent but it had potential. Mario trying to get Jeffy in trouble so he can not get shocked is ok. The classroom scene was a bit funny with Jackie Chu. Jokes were alright but I would tone down the “Si Papi” joke in the future. Ending is a bit conflicted, on one hand, Mario does deserve it and saw it coming but it was a bit excessive and overstayed its welcome. So yeah, I do see it as a bit cruel honestly.
Overall, it was another meh episode, pretty ok and the ending is pretty mixed but I stand by my opinion. 5.8/10.

I don't really think this counts as Mario Torture because unlike most videos where Mario gets fucked over for no reason. In this video Mario kept trying to make Jeffy lose the bet and Jeffy shocking him at the end was earned because Mario actually did something to deserve the punishment.

Story: This video had an intresting plot to it. I liked how the video were based Jeffy and Mario bet which was enjoyable, some dragged on a bit. But it was overeall enjoyable. 7/10
