The way Diesel is using his experience in manipulation is great, something I didnt really expect until last episode and even then you did it much better then I expected. That bit at the end when he is talking to the hopper would have been enough story development for an episode on its own even, it breally sped the story up
Quite the interesting development here :) Going by the annoyed mail van at the end of last episode I had expected it to be *it* to be the troublemaker, but 006 being the culprit and its clash with Diesel was brilliant :) A foreman early in the episode had said 003 was holding up trains too, but I'm assuming he'll be dealt with next episode? Overall an interesting second part, and probably the best usage of Diesel in years. Having him use his deviousness and manipulative skills for good makes him a far more fleshed out character than either Awdry's ever done with him.
I couldn't have put that better myself. On one occasion I mentioned this series had the best development of Diesel I have ever seen, and I get the feeling it's going to get better with the last episode of the trilogy.
I mean these are steam engines we're talking about here: unless it's tornado we're discussing most are going to be 60-70 years old at a minimum. comparatively Peter's a yougnun compared to Douglas too!
indeed indeed. Ivo is probably the youngest engine on sodor (forget when Eric was made but I want to say late 80s? the timeline is escaping me suddenly).
I wasn't expecting it to be a day early. It's still awesome as ever. Old habits die hard, don't they Donald? Nice to see Toad have a role in this one, bringing up his actions in 'Toad Stands By'. Welcome to the crew, Zack. So that's why Peter was involved in the plan. I guess Diesel couldn't really get to the Little Western yard himself. Speaking of our 08 friend, I loved how he spoke to 006. Telling him that he should have the fun. Ooh, I do wonder how the delays will end once and for all.
It's certainly interesting to hear about a malicious Hopper that's afraid to cause damage to himself as well as some trucks becoming a little fearful over past incidents involving destruction of their brethren. In any-case that Hopper has no qualms with causing damage at the expense of anyone but himself; makes for a nice change. Normally the truck's are not that particular about their safety as they know full well that running an engine of the line will just as easily damage them too; if not destroy them outright. It seems some of them are not as crazed as the others and it gives more character depth to the trucks in general. Great stuff so far.
This was truly wonderful Dan! How everything I playing up into this! Diesel has really come along way in your series, and the way he's determined to out an end to this and reconcile with Duck! Plus, the way Hopper 006 is forcing the trucks to do his dirty work, it sound like he wants something from the engines!
"mind your own buiseness" that line killed me when saying to diesel, i was really expexting that diesel would do something awsome video wildnor wester:)
As expected, another great episode, Dan! I was so confused at the end, with Hopper 006. I honestly forgot that these hoppers were alive and thought only one of them would be an antagonist. I remembered that some of them were different from another so from 006 and 007, I couldn't tell the difference :P
Sorry to mention this, but it bugs me that they do that, instead of have radios installed in the engine cabs, and in some railroads, using phones is not allowed according to the rulebooks.
I understand that. My grandfather works for the railroad as of now, and they have strict cell phone policies, so radios are the only way of communication other than computers on some trains and by word of mouth.
@@WildNorWester okay, i should’ve known this would be misunderstood, the “but who was first?” Was meant to imply your not as well known considering you made them first
Oh, that's Iris pulling some empty flats back to the container yard. Due to the timing needed for the sequence, I had to start that shot when she was already out of frame.
Something like that. He thinks the engines treat the trucks unjustly roughly, while ignoring the fact that the rough treatment is necessitated by the trucks' own behaviour.
(Sigh) Trucks can be such idiots. I swear like I heard this before every truck on the railway must be suicidal either to cause trouble for fun or to kill someone in the process.
like Scruffy, Hector the Horrid, and many others before him...006 seems to want to see how quickly he can find himself out of service, or worse, destroyed. and thinking about how many trucks have gotten mangled in the process of their "fun" you'd think they'd learn by now that such things aren't exactly good ideas.
I just realised: Next week's episode doesn't have a brief summery of the premise like the first two episodes did. Sounds like we're in for a total surprise next week.
I'm gonna bring this up. I was rewatching this cuz thats what I do and I seemed to see some timing differences. I don't know you can call it that but at 9:50, I can see Patrick passing Toad then at 9:57, Patrick just passed Peter. Thought I should just point that out.
Hoppers 003, 006, and 007. Why do I get the feeling that you're a fan of James Bond here? ;) Looks like my suspicions from the previous episode are close to being confirmed.
I'm surprised that the hoppers are behind it 😳 btw what year would the hoppers had been built and are they only for ballast or could they take coal etc ? 🙂 Again a great episode and can't wait for the final episode to see how it plays out :)
They can take coal, etc. - they're just being used for ballast in this case. I'll be releasing them after the next episode goes up, with three different loads.
I love this series! I love the new full screen look! Also did you change the intro music? In Sodor the early years intro music, is it free to use? I don't know.
Good episode man :D Will we be learning Diesels true name at some point during these episodes? I know is a minor detail considering your ending the series after this but even still would learning that bit of information go along with the overall Duck/Diesel relationship theme in these episodes? If not its fine i am just curious
Hi, It's me again This time I'm going to say GOOD THINGS about the video My opinion and bad thing needing to be changed 1.I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this video and the feel is amazing 2.Call me greedy if you will but if those are trainz 2 for I pad can I have the old Henry model and the old duck and the old Edward. This is the second time Donald beaten up a piece of rolling stock. XD Great episode as always. Looking forward to the final episode.
Like I said, old habits die hard.
So I guess Oliver, Donald and Douglas have a fetish about rolling stock such as The spiteful breakvan and Scruffy.
:P

003 could just be coincidence. After all, delays occur even without 006's presence.
I couldn't have put that better myself. On one occasion I mentioned this series had the best development of Diesel I have ever seen, and I get the feeling it's going to get better with the last episode of the trilogy.
heh, Douglas and Peter's conversation sounded like old people talking about the young people
I was going for something along those lines - giving the impression the engines are speaking with the voice of experience, etc.
well, considering how old D&D's class is, quite fitting
I mean these are steam engines we're talking about here: unless it's tornado we're discussing most are going to be 60-70 years old at a minimum. comparatively Peter's a yougnun compared to Douglas too!
of course, also, don't forget about Eric and Ivo Hugh, they're on the younger side too
indeed indeed. Ivo is probably the youngest engine on sodor (forget when Eric was made but I want to say late 80s? the timeline is escaping me suddenly).
Knew it! Hopper 006 sounded like trouble, and it seems like he is indeed the culprit. Nice work Dan!
sadly his frames aren't old so they'll be no crunching or pulling apart to set him straight...
Love the use of Diesels season 20 theme btw

oooohhhh, suspense. I love it! Can't wait for the finale next week. I must say though, i'm a little surprised to this this up a day early.
It's because it's Easter.
Happy Easter!
oh, happy easter to you too. Looking forward to your grand magnum opus.
WildNorWester Even thigh it's over a month later, Happy Easter!
Another great episode. Zack did a great job voicing Toad.
incredible work can hardly wait for the final chapter of this trilogy
I immediately liked the video when diesel's theme played.
Diesel's Showboat Theme really sold the scene. It's surprising how well the new and old themes can work together.
Renshaw is the best composer if the Post-Classic era.
Great episode! I really like the use of diesel's season 20 theme :)
If I were the truck at 3:12, I'd probably be scared by the look that Donald was giving!
Who wouldn’t that prick is hitting you for no reason and your powerless to defend yourself

I remembered that some of them were different from another so from 006 and 007, I couldn't tell the difference :P
It's really only the numbers that gave them away. I used 006 and 007 deliberately as well.
WildNorWester Ah! Can I ask? I might of been hearing incorrectly but its only 006 dictating these trucks? Or is it another hopper as well?
Could be Hopper 003 as well. There were delays on his trains too.
That was AMAZING!!! I love the story and the new trucks causing trouble. continue doing this kind of work
Indeed. It's a bit like modern planes causing trouble for everyone.
Engines drivers relaying messages from the engine to each other....
Does that mean the engines are texting each other?
In a way, yes.
Sorry to mention this, but it bugs me that they do that, instead of have radios installed in the engine cabs, and in some railroads, using phones is not allowed according to the rulebooks.
MaumeeStorm Master I mean, it does take place in an era where smart phones have already been invented.
I understand that. My grandfather works for the railroad as of now, and they have strict cell phone policies, so radios are the only way of communication other than computers on some trains and by word of mouth.
Yeah. Last thing they need is a driver hitting a bend at speed while he's playing Flappy Bird.
10:19 Shining Time Station Sound Effect! (Just giving a fun fact)
Amazing episode! I really love this trilogy!
Is it? I just got it from a sound effects library online.
Yet another fine episode WildNorWester. Seems like Diesel is definitely putting his infamous skills to good use. Happy Easter mate ☺
Now that was an amazing episode! Can't wait to see how this plays out!
12:15 what’s the song? I know it’s a remix of Diesel’s theme from the CGI Series with some
Model stuff incorporated
I love the diesel theme remix at 11:18
Same
Great work mate. :)
I like this new opening Theme!
So Hopper 006 is the cause of all this trouble. Interesting. Even so well done.
Absolutely fantastic Episode. Great work by you and the cast!
You wrote Diesel to perfection - cannot wait for what I assume is the conclusion next episode.
Ohh can't wait to see how this finishes up! Can't wait

Check the dates, mate. You'll find that mine were first.

Another Masterpiece @WildNorWester. Congrats. I like How you thought of this. A great and rather interesting 3 parted Video Compilation 😊
10:59 Runaway container truck! Otherwise, great video!

What message is truck 006 trying to send to the engines, is it to show that they trucks are the kings of the railway or something?

It does, although I may not have mentioned it in the script. Like this episode, it's got a recap of the previous episode's events.
That will help a little. Ooh, I can't wait to see how Diesel going to put this to a stop!
Great story
8:32 "We've had a derailment just down from Callan."
Isn't Callan in a TVS-only location? Why is it on the Little Western here?
The geography in my series is a blend of TVS and RWS. I didn't know about the differences when I started, and now I'm stuck with it.
WildNorWester So that's why the Little Western is based behind Tidmouth instead of the sheds.
Mega sweetness!

I am a fan of James Bond - I've seen all of them.
Aha! I knew it!
12:26 That face is PRICELESS!! XD
I hope Diesel's deviousness doesn't strike him too much XD

I wonder if the spiteful brake van was killed or if they were able to repair him (and replace the wooden frame with a steel frame).
very nice

I have a question. Did you name the hopper 006, the one who was causing all the trouble, after the James Bond villain in the movie "Goldeneye"?
Yes.
Was I the only one who noticed
I'm afraid not. Others have commented, and it's also listed on the WildNorWester Wiki.
Alright. It actually took me a while to realize it myself
Happy Easter! Did you re-shoot the flashback scenes from Break Van?
I did, yes. I wanted to make sure they were correct.
WildNorWester happy Easter

Izaak Farrington And Friends He needed time off
Douglas 57647
could I ask him if he's friends with JamesFan1991?
So, The drivers Finally got phones
Good lord, I thought my microphone sounded better than that on my end. Ahah..ahah...
to be continue (again)?
why do i feel like it's gonna be S.C.RUFFY and who knows what again? because of that hopper...
We won't be seeing S.C.Ruffey again. He has nothing to do with the present trouble.
Can I be Diesel next season?
Why does the voice of Rex sound so familiar.............
its a very nicely ritten story can i arsk way has peter got grey back eyes insted of the nomal plain back ones ? and by the way happy easter
All the eyes have a grey background - some are just darker than others.
You know, a C.N.R U1F or a U.P.R Big Boy can handle trucks a lot butter than most engine from the UK

i think i have an idea how they can deal with hopper 006.
Oh my god. This was great. And the S.C.Ruffey segment! Jeez! How did you get the model to fall apart?
That was actually part of the model, done as a pantograph animation. I just had to trigger it while driving Oliver.
Now that's quality!
Thanks for the info.
plan on next story video?
Were did you Arlsdale railway and the yards from.
Dose that guy who doing duck voice, know where top hat model is,because duck voice sound like ten cents voice
How did you make S.C.ruffy fall apart it looked vary cool
Anyone know the music that plays when Diesel and the hopper start chatting?
That's Diesel's S20 theme by Michael M.
Or Toad?
Thank-you, but both of those roles already have voice actors.
If I'm looking for more voices, then I'll put out a casting call.
Is this filmed in Trainz A New Era or 2012? I'm looking into which one to buy soon haha
He switched to Train: A New Era recently. I think that's what he is using for this episode.
Yep. All episodes after 'The Thin Clergyman' were filmed in TANE.
Did the one train you didn't mention have any hoppers? Or not? Is that why you didn't mention it?
What point was that in the video?
I think that was Donald's train at the quay. He didn't have any hoppers on his train at all, but there was one nearby.
I didn't say a hopper wasn't involved, I just asked if it was on the train. But thanks.
When the yard master said that out of the 14 trains in the last week, 9 of them had Hopper 006 and 3 of them had Hopper 003. He didn't mention the 14th train.
Actually, four of the trains had Hopper 003 on them.

What is the name of the intro music?
I still say Caden is the ringleader. He's using Hopper 006 to cover up his tracks.
No. Caden has nothing to do with this whatsoever.
Also, when is Season 3 set?
It'll be set in 2012.
Will Bronwyn be in Season 3?
No spoilers, obviously.
Yes.
How'd u get scruffy to fall to bits?
It's an animation that was built into the model - toggled as a pantograph animation.
I downloaded the scruffy from si3d and tried the pantagraph option and nothing happened
It wasn't the SI3D model.
where did u get your model
Why is Donald and Douglass blue
Because that's how they are in the Railway Series. They were painted blue after the Fat Controller decided to keep them.
Once again really good episode !! love watching your series also could I give you a shoutout on my youtube account ??!
Sure.
