I've been using milight since 2011. Best value LED control and fixtures about. I have 6 led strip controllers in my backyard. Im pretty sure the distro Box is full of water and its been going strong for 11 years now. I put the 240v version of that RGB-CCT garden lights into a few par64 Kupo cans. Best retrofit and we have them in our band studio. Finally have the RGBCCT controller controlling some mood and night lighting in the office. They now have pool lighting which would be interesting to review!
Do you know if the FUT089 remote works with FUT036 single color controller? I know the FUT096 remote does not which is why I'm considering the 089 with tactile buttons
Factory told us it's 5000 hz (5 khz) but there is a still a small amount of crawl on camera-phone video, which makes me think it's not quite that high actually. With pro cameras it seems you can adjust the shutter sync to eliminate the crawl if you know what you are doing. In any case, the PWM rate is far higher than any other consumer-grade RGB(WW) colour controller we've seen, which are totally unusable on camera!
@@lumicrest Hey! Can you tell me, the PWM frequency of insane 7200hz also is for the single white LED strip when you connect it right? I have model MILIGHT FUT021 and its PWM frequency (which I don't know what it is but feels like very low) is just killing my eyes. I feel like someone is physically pressuring them and the strobing effect when i wave my hand just kills (which worsens when I have to move my eyes around the room). When I set the brightness to the max light is completely static and clean no strobbing(which indicates ofc the dimmer electronics has been bypassed) which means electronics and the dimmer are perfectly functional. So before I call the store back to try and get this bad ass one of 7200hz! Please if you can confirm for me if it does the same for the white LED strips when connected!
Hi, just set this up with b4 label remote. Problems when I press 0 for off led strip goes to a red pink colour instead of completely shutting down!!!!! Please kindly help/ advise
Hi. Did you purchase it from us? It's hard to know the answer for sure but it sounds like there could be a small short circuit at the receiver, maybe some of the wires may be touching a little bit. Theoretically when it's "off" there should be no power flowing, so this shouldn't happen - but without being able to look at your setup it's very difficult to guess!
@@eezaka2791 If you want to send me some pics of your setup and how its wired to the receiver, and also if there are wires attached to both ends of the strip you can email me at david@lumicrest.com
No, hooking 4 warm white strips up to a single receiver wouldn't give you the control you want. In that case you would use 4 separate receivers and assign them to different zones on the remote. A more elegant way is to use a 4-zone Milight panel control for white LEDs, and 4 receivers, one for each strip. Assign a receiver to each zone. @@22msport Yes you can control as many meters as you like, without amplifiers. Just connect strips, Milight receivers and power supplies according to power consumption needs. One Milight receiver per power supply. Assign them all to the same zone on a Milight remote (if you are using multi-zone remote). You don't need amplifiers because all the Milight receivers "auto-transmit" to each other on same zone within 30 meters distance, which means they automatically stay in sync even in colour-change modes. No more amplifiers!
lumicrest thank you for your reply, so I’m connecting 40m in total, can I run 4 controller for every 10m? And then hook them up to the one remote? Wil the Milight be able to handle 10m RGBWW instead of 5m?
For the price point, this system seems to fall short of some of the lesser systems out there. The dynamic lighting modes are very limited. I've seen store bought systems that have sequenced lighting where you can see patterns within the strips. Mi-light only changes the whole strip at once, or flashed the whole thing on and off. No dancing, no music sync, nothing here with Mi-light
Music sync happens through the Miboxer app. These devices are not designed to control "pixel" LED strips for making patterns, chasing etc. Pixel strips are a whole different animal.

0:48 is this setting important? i cannot find any description in official manual? what would i set for an rgbw strip?
Hi! Do I need only WL5 Controller (and LED strip + power supply) to use it thought the app or Google Assistant?
Can I connect 2 pieces of cct strips on ls2 controller and command them separate with fut007 or need another remote type?

No, for FUT036 you can use FUT006, FUT007, FUT087, FUT091, FUT092, B4/T4, B2/T2, B1/T1

And ... we just put the output of the Milight receiver on the oscilloscope, and found that it's MORE than 5000 Hz, it's actually about 7200 Hz
