If clothes are smelly anyways you shouldn't repeat them. Better to wash them. If you want to reuse any cloth, leave them outside for 1-2 hours till they are air dry and then store them in a separate box. As i said behind the door these clothes look shabby and create a visual clutter, if someone is ok with that, they can definitely hang them behind the door. Tips in this video is only about hiding the visual clutter. If someone is ok seeing hanging clothes, wires, newspapers remote lying anywhere, it is ok.
