For a single span bridge of span 40 feet and width of 15 feet, what size I beams should I be using for the girders? Please keep in mind that 50 tonne trucks will be occasionally driving on bridge. It will be a single lane bridge.
Hi, wouldn´t be a time dependent analysis relevant for this bridge? I mean shrinkage of the slab could have a large effect on deflections of the bridge as well on internal forces? How would you proceed if you needed to model it? Sry for bad english ;)
Hi, would you please explain me the 1.6 m in the dummy transverse section definition for the B dimension? And I have not also catched why you put 0.7 as vertical offset for the cross bracing. I understand the procedure but not so clearly those specific numbers. Thank you

Hi,
New Midas version, doesn't accept (14:20) B& H=0 for Dummy Transverse...Can we make it extremely close to Zero?
why you did not assign boundary conditions for Abutment?
Thank you very very much!

I just understand the vertical offset reasoning and how adjust vertical offset due to the geometry of the construction, so also the 0.7 quantity
