I enjoy the speaker's enthusiasm. Bees sense the temperature with the end segments of their antennae. They can also sense the air quality in the hive. If the carbon dioxide goes to high they will also ventilate the hive to normalise the gas ratios. The Biblical Solomon did not know what we know about bees today or he would have said: "Go to the bees and become wise".

I found moths in one of the hive in Durban. Still had propolis and little honey. How can I stop a spread

Wax moths move in when a colony cannot maintain the space anymore, often a colony which is dying out. Also hives which are not regularly inspected, where old frames of black comb are not removed, wax moth come in to clean out the unused wax and clean out the space. I would suggest reboxing the colony into a clean smaller box, removing all wax moth infested frames and giving your colony some good fresh wax sheets in the extra frames. Then keep a close eye on them, by doing an inspection every two weeks, till you are sure they are once again growing.
