I love the demonstration of the burst and chance processor and the drums. Basically could have been a really great video with ZERO talking. Ruined and 3 times longer with the narrative. Get a microphone mute switch, and do us all a favor. You explain absolutely nothing about technique, but I like the modules that you pointed out, and love that rhythm and the ratchets, this video has been really influential despite the shortcomings. 🤷♀️
Oh man I feel your pain in trying to get this down into a step by step guide of your thought process but really enjoyed it. I’m still recording tutorials in one unedited take until I learn to video edit without affecting the sound. Nice walkthrough even though the hats section was skipped.
Haha! Yeah I completely goofed the hat section because during the live patching, I had the burst clock patched wrong so it wasn’t getting any clock. I knew someone would notice! :) appreciate the feedback!
Hey man great video! I've a question... I'm into minimal house music. But i'm looking for quite a long time for a module to enhance my grooves in a controlled random rythmical way.. And now i've seen the qu bit chance.. Is it worth for beatmaking to implement random gates in a controlled way? Or do you know any modul which is very good for my purpose? I hope you understand what i mean and what i'm looking for. Best regards from switzerland
Thanks for stopping by! :) I think I get it. I think it's totally worth it. Even if it's a little "out of control" I think for me it injects such a fresh perspective. Chance or random generator types, if applied to gates, filters, can be such an inspirational boost. I usually find that the hi freq components (like hi hats and such) benefits from some controlled random input. Snares too for sure (little ghost notes being peppered in makes it way more human.) Not a house music expert so I can't say definitively. I also recommend checking our Befaco's Percall - super super cool for I think just what you are looking for. Let me know how it goes! :)
