Just saying, there’s a mod that changes the sizes when you go through portals. It’s called Pehkui, and if you see this, I am excited to see how much you can break Minecraft with it. Edit: Apparently all you have to do to get likes is have good grammar.
When Mumbo said "this is excellent" at the end there, I fully expected him to pop in to F5 mode, be holding an egg instead of popcorn, and be an egg. (I fear Mumbo's discovery of culinary mods)
So I know Mumbo makes a self-deprecating joke most of the time about how his explanations are incomprehensible, but this one in particular left me totally dumbfounded.
Here's another quick tip for you about immersive portals, you can make both sideways portals using the helpers/obsidian and portals at ANY angle in 3D space, using commands. Have fun with that :)
Aside from the weapons going on a bit longer after the monster dies, and giving the cityscape some actual destruction and rebuilding, this was a great movie.
I can't wait for when Mumbo gets the mod that makes it so going through scaling portals actually changes his size, and he goes on to creating non-Euclidian worlds (like buildings that contain a mini version of themselves within)

Really like the character development of the giant zombie at the end and the private on the left they really grew as characters with the private being able to overcome his fears and the giant being able to embrace them. Truly a cinematic masterpiece
I agree it was so sad when poor Jimmy the villager was tragically killed by the zombie. I had really grown to love his character over the course of the movie.

This mod is fun, I used it once to make a small landscape display on a mountain, than I used a size changing mod with it so going through portals actually changes your size and made a small hut so that when you walked past this display and into a doorway near it down a hallway you would pop out the hut door and be on the display. It was cool Edit: I got confused I forgot I actually didn’t use the size mod cause I used the forge version
3 ideas (idk if they works with the mod) 1: light changes (day to night) 2: piston feed tape to move the clouds in the background 3: push the zombie from the side, I find a bit weird he just pop in the middle In case you see this, have fun scratching your head a few hours «!
There's a game called "Subliminal" that's about changing the size of things based on distance. For example, if you pick up something and walk away fron a wall, it grows so it can remain close to the wall. There are even portals for changing your own size and object duplication
Honestly if it wasn't for the length of his hermitcraft videos, then I can see docm77 having fun with the immersive portals mod considering he has knowledge about the technical side of minecraft meaning that he could make tons of cool stuff we can only wish would happen in minecraft.
In most OG channels nowadays you always see comments in their videos about how they grew up with him/her or how they haven't visited the channel in years but mumbo is still here with us better than ever uploading content and keeping us entertained and happy.
I wish they're was a sort of "hurray" sound effect at the end, I also wish the archer fire had a slightly shorter duration and maybe a bit more spacing in between the events but overall this was fantastic. the creativity and redstone engineering behind all of this is more than I could ever hope to do. A large round of applause for Mumbo!

How fucking hard this is to make compared to actual TV is absolutely mind bending. It's like the opposite of special effects, cheap illusions to tell expensive stories. Extremely expensive illusions to tell chintzy stories, unless you know how extreme the effort inversion is! Wonkavision.
I'd honestly recommend spending a bit of time to learn some of the portal commands because it makes the portals much easier to manipulate. It also means you don't need to rely on the portal helper blocks which can be a little clunky
i wonder when mumbo is going to discover the "pehkui" and "gravity changer" mods. these are both compatible with immersive portals, pehkui allows you to change size when going through scaled portals and also adds /scale. gravity changer allows you to seamlessly change your gravity (such as walking on the walls or ceiling) to any direction even when going through a portal that is flipped upside down.
10/10 amazing. The story was amazing! The visuals were top notch!, This story was a roller-coaster. Sometimes Funny, sometimes Sad and sometimes Happy. Would highly recommend.

I'd recommend trying out the Pekhui mod, it allows you to scale the size of entities (including yourself) when you go through portals of different sizes, so they're completely seamless to walk through.
This is the greatest thing ive ever seen done in minecraft. Combine a lot of these ideas with command blocks and you could make a full length film and still make it look good
This is a much bigger step than anyone's talking about. Everyone's in the comments joking about it, but think about it, if this is possible, people may well be able to work out how to make actual, proper feature length films in Minecraft. This could revolutionize cinema!

Another tip for the portals. If you combine the mod with pehkui and then walk through a portal that is bigger or smaller you will stay the size you saw so you can be smaller or bigger

I'd recommend trying out the Pekhui mod, it allows you to scale the size of entities (including yourself) when you go through portals of different sizes, so they're completely seamless to walk through.

That turned out pretty great! A theatre performance with actors would probably work pretty well too since the portals could zoom in on them

This is the greatest thing ive ever seen done in minecraft. Combine a lot of these ideas with command blocks and you could make a full length film and still make it look good

This is a much bigger step than anyone's talking about. Everyone's in the comments joking about it, but think about it, if this is possible, people may well be able to work out how to make actual, proper feature length films in Minecraft. This could revolutionize cinema!

Another tip for the portals. If you combine the mod with pehkui and then walk through a portal that is bigger or smaller you will stay the size you saw so you can be smaller or bigger
