- One Sista is questioning the issue of having babies without being married in the community. No group of people can rise off of a single parenting model.
That's why I don't do baby showers or gender reveals and countless women in my family really got pissed with me over the years about my stance. I refuse to celebrate single motherhood.

Recognizing this decades ago is exactly why I never entertained the thought of dating and certainly not marrying a single mother. BW on social media are finally admitting the things they denied for years.

The healing that the Black community needs is to stop having babies out of wedlock. That is the main thing that is destroying the Black community. That is the main point her and Phil were making.
Also, if it wasn't for some many of us having kids out of wedlock then there would be less step daddies!
I'll be 47 next week and I have no children. The problem is there is almost nothing to choose from in Central California particularly Fresno County. Unless your a straight Latin American, Native American, Asian, Eastern Indian, or any else of Middle Eastern descent than your good. Black's just don't have the numbers out here and with the racism and the large population of women that are LGBTQ out here makes things complex next to impossible. The next option will be a passport to outside of America because this crap out here is straight whack!

There are no wives because a lot of women have sister -daughter relationship with their mothers, and there are no husband's because a lot of men are son-husbands to their mothers. If the mother had a man of her own, there wouldn't be this issue as rampant as it is.
