That was from when they were in Germany promoting "The Muppets" film. They were staying at a hotel and had a date night. Infact they admitted to sharing a hotel room together when interviewed but Kermit said Piggy slept in the bed and he slept in the bathtub so his skin would stay moist. Lol It was a really cute article. The other similar pictures you see after it are also from that. He even sang "You Are So Beautiful" to Piggy. Which is the picture you see at the 1:36 mark.
Same with Disney characters per their voice actors (as Jimmy MacDonald told Wayne Allwine, "Remember, you're filling in for the boss" [being that Mickey is Walt's alter-ego, much like Kermit is to Jim]) and the park meet-and-greets.
@MuppetGirl336 Yes they are my favorite couple. As you can tell. Lol! I love that Kermit has carried his and Piggy's relationship outside of thie latest film. If you have time please check out my other two Kermit & Piggy videos. :)
Unfortunately there was no video filmed but there was an article written up. It was basically everything I told you though. They stayed at the Ritz hotel if I'm not mistaken. If you really wanna read it though just Google Kermit & Piggy Ritz Hotel and a link for MuppetWiki should come up that's where I got the photos and article. Thanks again for commenting!
That picture was from the Barbara Walters special Best in TV when Kermit and Piggy were in the "Best Non-Human" category, I basically got the clip off UA-cam and ripped the scene from there. Thanks for commenting!
MatSKULLZ Actually, in a sense, they are. Yes, logic says that they are felt "skin", faux fur and/or feathers, and ping pong ball halves for eyes, but both fans and the performers themselves treat the characters as if they're living beings. Yes, Kermit and Piggy were/are performed by Jim Henson & Frank Oz/Steve Whitmire & Eric Jacobson, but even Jim/Frank and Steve/Eric treat Kermit and Piggy as though they are as alive as you or I. In other words, they are REAL. Heck, the Muppets even acknowledge at times that they are being performed by people, thus breaking the 4th wall.
I Love The Muppets When I grew up My favorite muppet is Kermit the frog Rowlf the dog animal fozzie bear miss piggy crazy harry scooter gonzo and all of them so is dr teeth and the electric mayhem
Well, despite "competing" for the same audience in the 80s (though Fraggle Rock aired on The Disney Channel during its premium years after its original run on HBO & Nickelodeon owned distribution rights to reruns of The Muppet Show & syndicated episodes of Muppet Babies [before the buyouts by Sesame Workshop for Sesame Street in 2001 & Disney for the Muppet properties in 2004, with JHC still owning the Fraggles]), the mouse and frog share similar philosophies.
