We found a HIDDEN GEM in Malaysia! Tioman Island

- It’s no secret that we love island- life, and this one…? Man… We fell in love with Tioman! We might even go so far as to say it’s on our top three places we have ever visited together!
Where to stay?
Tioman is a huge island and you have several different beaches and we stayed at Juara Beach which was lovely, quiet and tranquil! The water is crystal clear and the diving and snorkeling is so good: Turtles, sharks, stingrays and corals! It’s a 20 minute drive from the ferry in Tekek!
An other good option (that has amazing underwater life as well) is Salang Beach! Incredibly beautiful, BUT it’s a three hours hike or a boat ride away from everything!
Where is the taxfree?
If you want to enjoy a glass of something in the evening, make sure to stop by the taxfree shop in Tekek!
Want to do a hike?
We , like you might have seen, did not do the hike (let’s blame the weather), but from the end at ABC beach you can hike over to different beaches!

Salang is also my favorite beach, there's a lagoon you can go snorkeling n scuba diving right in front of the beach, no need to rent a boat.
Our friend Daniel told us about this 🤩 Unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to see it 😢🙃 But Tioman is our favorite place in Malaysia, and we’ll definitely gonna come back 😍🙌😉👌
@@josieandkim_vlog nice 👌 its the coral n fish that makes Pulau Tioman so attractive, make sure u don't come during the monsoon raining season if you plan to visit this beautiful island again
We tried to go to the Perhentian Islands back in November, but because of the monsoon season we had to skip everything and go to to Thailand 🤪🙈😂
@@josieandkim_vlog Yes, the end of the year, November to February usually the monsoon seasons at the east coast Malaysia, but nowadays the weather is unpredictable...

Many, many years ago, I went to Salang.
Perfect snorkeling in the shallow waters on the left of the jetty.Wasn't game enough to swim to the small island.
Trekked to Monkey Bay, perfect isolation with only a hut there.
3 years later, the corals died...they were constructing chalets on the hill to the left of the jetty.
Never been back since.
Oh wow! Sounds amazing 😍 Except if the dying corals 😢 But the good news is that the corals in front of those chalets in hill are now healthy and it’s one of the best places to snorkeling now 🙌 At least that’s what we’ve got told when we were there, and the chalet’s are now abandoned and is called the “ghost hotel” 🙃🫶

Loved the video guys!! We're going there soon and wondering how did you get a scooter there? Is there a place on the island where you can rent it from or did you transfer the scooter by ferry?
Thank you so much 🙏🥰 You’re gonna love it 🤩🙌 We rented a scooter from the place we stayed at 🤙 We only had it for one day, because it’s super expensive, transportation in general is 😬 So if you’re not staying close to the ferry port, we recommend you to buy all you need at the duty-free and the grocery store 🖖🤓 Have the best time ever 😍🫶
