Thanks for posting this video. I always did love this team and how strong they are in different areas. The best part is how each of them represents a different nationality and race. Not many cartoons can do this now-a-days.
It’s funny that at first in Re:Cyborg 009, 006 was voiced by his best friend 007 (Micheal Sorich), and now here, 002 (Kirk Thornton) of all people voices Chang and we all know that Jet sucks at cooking.
The only problem I have is that Françoise looks like a Asian girl with dyed blonde hair and green eye contacts. I wish they keep the anatomical stuff right.
Also, I want to point out how she "knelt" down to put down the tray on the coffee table. I know that is a Japanese female thing to do, but considering that she's French, she wouldn't do that and rather put down the tray from her waist height. I know she's been Living in Japan for too long so she may have been influenced by it, but since this is a Japanese production you just have to go along with it. Still, it makes my vein pop out of my forehead.
Not sure how I feel about the computer animation. Obviously, it makes a lot more small movements and camera turnarounds much more precise and feasible on a budget. Yet it feels a little stiff and "puppet-y" (for lack of a better descriptor), and has less warmth and spontaneity than hand-drawn cell animation. I guess you get used to it after a while, and don't notice it as much. The updated designs of the zero-zero cyborgs make the parallels between Ishinomori's cyborg team (Japan's first superhero team, 1964) and Marvel's X-Men seem even more obvious to even the casual viewer, although it's also fair to say, that if anything, the X-Men's "all-new, all-different" 1975 revamp did more to make the two groups alike (by adding international mutants) than they ever were before that. Good story, though I'm a little confused about how they can acknowledge all of the past events of 009 continuity as having taken place in the 1960s/70s/80s, etc. I guess you could come up with an explanation that makes the 00 cyborgs functionally immortal, but what about the human Dr. Gilmore? Wouldn't he be like 100 years old by now?
Perhaps Black Ghost treated Gilmore well? The question I want to know is why there isn't a change in governments due to the huge damage Black Ghost (which is presumably still running around)
And they say in the comics that Captain America was the first avenger in the 40s Where the rays he was injected with, that's least that's what I remembered in the movie.
I really like the art style for the characters (that RWBY-esque animation really works); though the juxtaposition of random hand-drawn animation (such as Joe's fight with the robot) was a tad off putting. However, I can't help but be annoyed that it sounds like a 60's anime with writing like that (Re:Cyborg at least had the decency to modernize the dialogue). Overall: Not great, but not terrible either.
I decided not to watch when I noticed that the rest of the episodes arnt there... I'm sure I could find it but with superior technology it should be among the suggested videos attached to this video
Probably my biggest problem with this series is the animation. It looks too stiff and plasticy. Not helping matter is the fact that it switches to hand drawn animation when it focusses on other people and objects. Seriously, I find it really hard to believe that the giant robot 009 fights at the beginning was supposed to be hand drawn. Isn't it usually the other way around? It's pike they wanted the show to be 2D but were given a very low budget and were contractionally obligated to use CGI. So you're given 2 clashing art styles trying to coexist.
5:49 Venezuela 😮😮😮🤯🤯🤯

I'd prefer they'd kept closer to the original style.

A blend of traditional Anime and CGI makes a fabulous combo!!!

even i thought she has the same design especially face like saber from FGO

I feel she is more like a long haired alice margatroid from touhou project because of that hairband. But saber is not wrong.
Thanks for the vid

原作に忠実にするより、現在層の視聴者に受け入れられ易い様にしているんじゃないかと思うのですが、自分は原作に必ずしも忠実である必要はないと思いました。♪(´ε` )

Thanks, i hate it.
CGI gave me eye cancer.
I kinda agree with you
Well I prefer this anime to the old ugly ones and the exaggeratedly big noses
