Eric O you win the most awesome wife contest hands down. She's always impressed as a gentle and supportive wife in your SMA videos but now she shoots proficiently at 170 yds and says "I do gut deer but he's better at it". I love my wife but she's not shooting or gutting deer. Thanks for sharing the family side of your life. God bless
My favorite tip (I have hunted for more than 50 years) is carrying a 2 liter jug of the cheapest diet cola for cleaning my hands after field dressing. The carbolic acid will strip the fats in the blood that are so stubborn to get off with just water. You will be amazed at the job it does. Be sure to use the diet because sugar sweetened cola will leave you a sticky mess. Great job, the two of you. Good shooting, Mrs. O!
Tbh, I'm so glad you showed mostly everything. Thank you for just being yourselves and not cutting out anything major like gutting the deer. Congrats to Mrs O, nice looking buck.
@@TheRealEricO I know, but you know how snowflakes are; im kinda impressed that no one has blown a head gasket yet. Glad to see the WHOLE world hasn't lost its mind yet. Greetings from Texas. Been rockin with y'all for a long time.
One thing I do when field dressing with my truck in reach. I'll take a rachet strap and strap the front legs to the straps on the tail gate. It holds the deer at the perfect angle and makes the field dressing 100% easier. Then you grab a hold of the head and pull it the rest of the way into the box. No bloody clothes. Free tip Thursday.... Nice job Miss. O 👊 and awesome video
I'm a bow hunter and one thing I really enjoy is just sitting and watching animals do their thing when they don't even know you are there. Congrats on your families success this year ! Love the After Hours videos too !
That was an awesome video!! Congratulations Mrs. O🎉 Nice shooting as well. Good to see a family of hunters. Keep the tradition alive. Your videos never disappoint.
Gotta love a lady who hunts. And it's pretty obvious she does because she was immediately identifying the young jakes when the turkeys came out. Nice rifle and scope, too. I'm a big Vortex fan myself.
Its Friday night in Pa, the night before rifle season. My four grandkids are here getting ready to hunt in the morning. I tell them you have to watch this video, so they watch and when the 3 buck come throe the field, they are all saying shoot, shoot, shoot, but in the end they really liked the buck Mrs O took. Grate Video the Boys loved it !!!
I’m not really a Hunter but pretty much all of my family hunts and I fully support it. I’m really just leaving this comment to help the algorithm. Love you guys.!!!
I knew there was an actual reason I Loved your South main channel ! Grew up in Orange/Green county Catskills NY !! You two are a perfect example of a Family Husband and Wife !! Love and honor between each other!!! Congratulations Mrs.O !!! Keep on living your best Eric !! You’re a great man/husband /father / person !!!!
My parents are from Hornell, NY. During WWII my then teenaged father hunted small game just outside of town that helped fill the stew pot with meat for his and other family's homes. My father and his friends hunted deer in the area and have some relatives on my mom's side that still hunt outside and west of the town. It is a great place for deer hunting with the mix of farms and woods. It was great to see you 2 together, it is real cool to see a couple into the same thing and good at it. You showed how hunting requires patience, skills, knowing things like how wind directions are critical tactics as well as being very skilled, responsible, and that eat what you shoot. I bet hunting is a great way to deal with the stresses of your business, cranky cars and customers. Thank your showing this part of your life.
Hi Mr and Mrs O. Long time subscriber from across the pond here. Over here, we are very limited as to what and where you can shoot, unless you are a member of the rich and privileged! I'm too old to go out hunting now, but I used to shoot a lot of rabbits for the pot. What used to amaze me, was the amount of hatred I would receive from folk for shooting my own dinner. The same folk would think nothing of buying their meat, neatly wrapped in plastic!
I am not a hunter, but totally understand why it’s important for the eco system. It’s necessary to thin the heard otherwise the death of slow starvation is more painful than the quick shot of a rifle. This was an excellent video to educate a person like myself why hunting in America is important. And, to hunt as husband and wife is something special indeed.
I feel most connected to the earth when I'm in my stand or ground blind....so relaxing. I had to give up on the coffee before a hunt, though. It 'runs right through me', as they say. I traded it out for chicken noodle soup in a big stanley thermos. But, DANG - Mrs. O. brought 1/2 the pantry. You are one lucky fella, fella! :-)
My father was a hunter. Never once took me to do this. He passed about 2 weeks ago. Never talked to him for more than a month in my 64 years. I wanted so badly to go with him. Now he's gone. I'll never know this. But I wanted to. Thanks for sharing. 46:04
An awesome video. Thanks for filming the whole procedure. Exactly how my wife and I did ours this year. I field dress it while she holds the legs making it easier to dress. We both got 9 pointers. Congrats on your beautiful deer.
thanks for taking us along on a great hunt.this was one of the nicest deer hunting videos i have ever watched.no interuptions of sponsors,or whopping or hollering.it reminded me alot of the way me and my wife hunt deer, and i have the same out look as mr.o. i have shot so many deer it relly isnt that much for me,as long as i can get the wife in position to see and have a chance at a deer, our season is complete.
Excellent video! Thanks for taking us along. You two are an example of what a successful marriage is. Your children will benefit from just watching you two respect and love each other every day. Great shot Mrs. O! 😀👍
As someone who has never hunted, I am super interested in the why and the how of everything that you do. This was great to see. Thank you so much for explaining things and showing what the process is like.
Nice buck Mrs. O. Enjoy watching your hunt. I love hunting and watching others. Its a blessing you and husband are together to enjoy the company. Hope to see more.
Thanks for taking us along! In the last several years, I've become one of those, "head to the house at 9:30 " hunters. Just getting too old a crochety to spend the day in a stand. I also don't still hunt like I used to 30, 40, or 50 years ago. I like to have some of my home made deer jerky to munch on while I'm sitting and waiting. I've have almost always, field dressed the deer where I find it. I've taken a deer one day, and the next morning had deer come to the gut pile and sniff it, giving me the opportunity for a second shot from the same spot. Enjoy your harvest!
You two look so comfortable together and obviously share a common outlook on life. Congratulations. I too was lucky enough to find the other half of my soul in the form of a pretty country girl. Watching you guys together feels very familiar to me. As is the environment up there. It is amazing how similar your land is to mine, here at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northeast Georgia. We are both very lucky guys. Thanks for sharing the hunt. Your video skills are impressive.
I don't hunt myself but I fully support those who do. I'm just down the road in Big Flats NY and the deer population has gotten out of control here. Piles of car parts and deer carcasses every where on NY 352. Nice harvest Mrs. O. One less to run in front of my truck!
I am not a hunter... I do have a great respect and admiration for those who do so ethically and responsibly. Especially for those who actually consume what they harvest, instead of "trophy hunters" who look merely for the size of the rack. I really appreciate the intro, and I look forward to the remainder. I also agree about the consumption of meat, that being said, I will not purchase any "government" garbage in any grocery store. I know where my beef was raised, what ita diet was, when and where it was taken down and processes on the same farm where it was raised. Same with my poultry. I absolutely enjoy both of your channels, with an even greater appreciation for all that both of you do.🙏💜
Great video Eric. I watch your car videos all the time but these are great too. Nice job on that buck Mrs O. Y'alls bucks are pretty big over there. They look as big as ours here in Texas. Thanks for sharing with us.
Eric O make as many deer hunting videos as needed. But I would understand if you didn't this is your relaxing moments even though you are shaking like a dog 💩ing razor blades 😂😂. Hunted all my life and was lucky to guide Americans for bear/grizzly way to many close encounters. Moose and white tail deer. With bucks in the 350lb range... Thanks for taking extra time for a great video 👍
Great job you two. I live on a lake in northern Indiana. People that live close to me say they have found 21 dead deer in their woods. I hope the disease has not affected your area. I am more of a weapons nerd than tool nerd. I live very close to a range where I can shoot 1000 yards. I appreciate your description of the equipment used. Mrs. O was a perfect model for her range finder and binoculars not to mention that sweet Kimber.
Born and raised in Bath. One thing I sure miss from my childhood this time of year is the sounds of rifles in the hills. Love to see the ethics playout in all aspects of your lives. Great shot Mrs. O!!
Great video! I haven't hunted since the '80s (for one reason of another), but back then there sure seemed to be less deer and the thought of passing on a nice-sized 6 point would never have entered my mind. However, with a freezer that's already full and a lot more deer around, I get it. Great shot, Mrs. O.
I think it's great that you are providing for the family and not just shooting for sport, and I love the 'let em go, watch em grow'. I love that you let Mrs O take it down, too. Great shot, Mrs O. As for the Offal, over in the UK Offal is sold in the shops, don't know if it's the same on your side of the pond. I hope we get to see the butchering process, too, so we get the beginning to end process. The fact that they are they are raised wild and you are feeding the family is amazing. Especially thanks for the rationale as to why you let some go and not others. It's another great video and a great hunting ethic, too. Nice one. I just wish we had your gun laws over here. I've not shot a rifle since 1985 on the range when I was in the Royal Air Force. It was an SLR, way obsolete now, but I loved it. Thanks for talking us through the whole process and sharing your day with us, Mr & Mrs O. I hope we get to see another hunting trip. One question: What were the birds? Were they Pheasants or Turkey or what? Great video.

She's pretty good at gutting deer it just takes her longer and we were runnin out of light. I def agree she is the best wife ever :)
This is by far better than any infomercial/hunting show on cable tv.
I agree Sir, 100%.
I tell people all the time UA-cam hunting is so much better than the old cable shows. Just more real.
Loved the comment about not being able to sleep the night before Opening Day. Brings back memories. Thanks for reminding me of that feeling.
Been that way for 30 years for me lol. Still get pumped up!
Thanks for taking us along!
I don’t hunt but respect those who do. More importantly, as a Native American I greatly appreciate those who do so ethically
Maybe you should try it sometime.
WHY RESPECT YOU FOOL!!!!!!!!!!
The difference between peanuts and deer nuts? Peanuts are a dollar fifty. Deer nuts are under a buck! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
