Excellent question. There is quite a bit that is stuck under parts of Baja California, the Sierra Nevada and in the Bay Area... but I have only heard of this location and one other spot in the Bay Area that some fragments of the slab are exposed. I tried looking it up, but I can't seem to find it- but what you are looking for is an outcrop of the Farallon Plate.
Mahalo for taking us on a virtual field trip!
Thank you joining me on the adventure! And don’t worry… many more to come! 'ole pilikia
So awesome! I had no idea about the Farallon plate, and such great rock examples to show the geologic history!

Thanks for the great video. Is this the only place in the US where the farallon is exposed?

@@Jeremy.Patrich OK, Thanks for the information. I will keep those areas on the bucket list!
Cool, because I thought the farallon plate subducted and nothing was left to see.
KEEP THESE COMING! And let me know if you need any northern California footage 😉
Will do!!
The wind noise audio is hard to listen to.
Totally agree. This was limber before I got a mic… what a bummer though.
